This app creates a private clipboard that cannot be read by other apps.
It doesn't need any permission to run.
It needs Android 6 (Marshmallow) or newer.
You can download the apk from the site: https://easyjoin.net/my_other_apps.html
To copy text to your private clipboard:
Select the text to be copied.
In the context menu, select the icon to see further options - normally a three-dots icon.
Choose "Copy to PClip".
To paste text from your private clipboard:
Select the text to replace. If you don't want to replace an existing text you need to write a couple of characters and select them.
In the context menu, select the icon to see further options - normally a three-dots icon.
Choose "Paste from PClip".
To view/manage clipboard history:
Choose the icon at the top right of the main page.
Or, choose "PClip history" in the context menu.
Or, use the quick settings tile.
Powered by EasyJoin.net
There is a paid version that offers a few extra things, like the private notes, the black theme and possibility to paste to editable fields that don't offer the "three dots" menu: "Secure Clips".
If you want to auto-sync clipboard between your devices you can use EasyJoin "Pro". Also works on Android Q using private clipboard.
Very cool, thanks! Didn't even realize I needed this til I saw it. That's an indication of a useful app, imo. It took a bit of experimentation to figure out because the 'copy' and 'paste' look the same (screenshot).

Useful in an immense manner. Thanks for backporting this to devices that aren't on 10! Great idea

Strings of version 2 (PrivateClipboard 1.0-2.apk) are entirely visible? Or should i have to remove "to" and "from"?
Is there a way of utilising it from the address bar in chrome say? As I get another default cut/cut/paste menu there.

This problem reminds me of this Android 10 'feature': "However, apps that have a long name and multiple targets (like ES File Explorer in the screenshots above) may suffer. The target's title doesn't display so you may not know which section of the app you're sharing to." https://www.androidpolice.com/2019/...apps-that-try-to-game-the-alphabetical-order/

I like what the new feature sounds like, without ever having used it. I guess devs might have to go with shortened/abbreviated names if there are multiple targets?

I think they don't have to include the app name but only the action name, since the app name is always shown as 'title' of the action. But a shorter action name is always a good idea as can be seen in the changelog of 'Private Clipboard'!

Can't get it to paste, only copy!
I using a heapy Alcatel A501DL from TracFone w Android 8.
I can use the dots to get it to copy to pvt clip, but when I try to paste therea no option. Also, opening the app just gives a blurb, no settings or options. what wrong?
I'd like to point out that this app doesn't seem to integrate well with Telegram (and maybe even other apps). The copy/paste to MyClip options simply don't appear, when selecting some text in Telegram. The button bar that appears after selecting some text in Telegram (the bar with the normal "Copy", "Cut", "Paste" buttons) is white, while in other apps (in which Private Clipboard works) it's dark. This has something to do with it, I guess.

It seems that in Telegram they have changed the standard context menu but forgot/decided not to implement the standard Android APIs.

Does Private Clipboard protect you from malicious/spying apps usung the clipboard hole?
I heard ALL apps can see the clipboard's contents, whether in the background, or having any reason to see it, then send out its contents to that app's spying makers.
Is this a truely separate clipboard or just a second one? One guy commented that he liked it for being a 2nd clipboard, so it made me think.

What is the meaning of this sentence?
Related
Write is a word processor for handwriting, available for Android 3.0 and later and Windows tablet PCs. Write is similar to other Android notetaking applications but provides a unique set of tools which ease the editing of handwritten text by grouping strokes into lines, much like typed text in a word processor.
Write supports the S-Pen, although Samsung reserves the pen button for system-wide gestures.
Free on Google Play: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.styluslabs.write
Features:
* tools: draw, erase, select, insert space, and add bookmark
* move strokes and insert space in multiples of the page's ruling
* reflow handwritten text with the insert space tool
* insert bookmarks and label them with handwriting
* cut, copy, paste selection
* unlimited undo/redo jog dial
* pan/zoom with two fingers
* customize and save pens
* user defined page size, color, and ruling
* pages can grow automatically as you write
* split screen with web browser to take notes from web pages or videos
* html/svg document format viewable in any modern web browser
* export or send document as single html file or all documents as zip file
* view thumbnails as a grid or list; drag and drop to change list order
Comments, bug reports, and feature requests can be posted to this thread; I look forward to hearing your thoughts!

I like this app so far. I only tested it for a few mins. I will give it the full court press for a week or so and report back.
right off the bat I like the add space function.
This program is tiny but powerful to write down somethings as its name. Consider about the saved files to exchange in other non-glaxay-note tablet or phones, even on computers, at least it's very easy to share the notes.
For me, some points to wish to add and I'll say it's perfect.
One thing is about bar buttons, add the function on the icon click to move certain lines and press to move to next page.
Second is, how about use different color on every 10th line, or add a small number at every 10th line? It well be helpful for user to identify the position of the note easily.
The last thing is the sync function, although I use dropsync to do this job. But still a build-in sync is a welcoming function.
Thank you for your hard work to make note-taking as easy as on paper!
I've tried it.
Main thing is that, if I'm not wrong, there's no pen pressure sensitivity.
Otherwise it could be very interesting.
I like some features of this app, like most of them, I wish they would all get together to make a super writing app. The zoom and pan with this app has been a big issue for me, I can not rest my hand on the tablet to write without it going crazy, I have switched through all the options for imput types, and when I remove all touch, there is no way to move the screen to write stuff, only go down to next page and this is difficult to write and reference things previously written down.
I do like the add space option and how it exports to .html for access on everything. There is also a nice select feature with the app. This could be very nice if they got with lecture notes and samsung to get the kinks worked out. Also my writing is a bit jagged here.
Not bad, has some decent features. I think Papryus is better overall though

Love this app! The ability to insert lines/words etc.that's great!!
I have the same issue - S Pent button will not delete after setting it to erase.
I also can figure out how to get different default templates (other than changing the color of paper and ruler)
To the developer - keep up the great work!!

Unfortunately, the s-pen button doesn't work. Because Samsung uses the button for global gestures (like double tap to open s-note), the events never reach Write. The page size and ruling can be set from the Page Setup dialog and the "Make default" checkbox will make the entered values the global default. For example, to get graph paper, set the X Ruling value equal to Y Ruling. A future update will provide some predefined page templates.

In the current version, it looks like there is a bug that could cause this to happen when adding a page to an existing document. This will be fixed in the upcoming version. In the meantime, it should work to set the default for each document.

Amazing app. I've been dealing with it for some days and it really works. S Note doesn't hold the candle to it when it comes to handwriting. S Note may have other handy features, but when I've got to write with it, it takes time and it often does my head in.
Write makes your handwritten page tidyd and clear, you can read your document with any other app and it's fast and smart - Samsung should learn to develop smarter applications like this.
Enjoy it.
Cheers!

Yes, the Windows version is available here: http://www.styluslabs.com/writebeta/ If you have a stylus, you'll need to install the Wacom drivers for it to work properly. The response to touch input can be configured in the preferences dialog. I don't have a Windows device with touch input for testing, so please let me know if there are any problems with touch.
Both Android and Windows versions have just been updated to add a bunch of features including continuous scrolling, lasso select, resizing selections, PDF export, and improved page setup.

Do you type your name, email or address multiple times throughout the day? If yes, then Texpand is for you. It will save you lot of time if you set it up right. Texpand is text expansion app designed to assist you with your frequently typed texts. It is a bit different than other text expansion apps that you might have used in other platforms; it uses floating windows to assist you with your typing. The demo video above shows thoroughly how to get started, it is a must watch to get the most out of it. It includes the following features:
• Sort you phrases by usage count, last used time, shortcut name and phrase
• Backup and restore you phrases to/from Google Drive or your local storage
• Floating window to let you complete your expansion if you type your shortcut correctly or to show you
suggestions based on the word you typed or selected
• Expand by selection e.g.: if you select name and you have shortcut name defined to expand to your full
name the floating window will show you either complete your expansion green button or yellow suggestion
button
Settings:
o Specify if shortcut name matching is case sensitive (case sensitive by default)
o Whether to add space or not after expanded text
o Whether to show floating indicators while typing. Note that if you disable floating indicators text
expansion will be immediate i.e. when you type the shortcut text it will immediately expand to its
corresponding phrase.
o Exclude apps from text expansion e.g.: if you don’t want to expand text in a particular app go to
Settings > Exclusions and click the plus(+) button then choose the app you want excluded from the
list of app then Texpand will not expand text on the apps you add to exclusions neither will it show you
suggestions. To remove an app form exclusions click it from the list of exclusions then dialog will
prompt you if you want to remove it click yes to remove it.
Known cases where Texpand will not work:
• If the app is not developed using standard Android SDK namely PhoneGap SDK that uses HTML5 for UI
elements. Texpand only works if the app uses native EditText widget but stay assured that this is what
almost all apps use.
• Texpand will not work on password fields but this is by design not a limitation. Because if text expansion is
enabled on password fields it may interfere with what you think you are typing. Note that some app have a
show password option if the password is not being masked by dots or asterisks then it is not regarded as
password field so Texpand has no way of knowing this is a password field so it will expand your texts as it
will on normal input fields.
• Texpand does not support input fields on webpages
• Word processor apps use highly specialized input fields, they are not currently supported but I am trying to
find a way to make them supported by Texpand.
• Text expansion by selection may not work in some apps, in which case the apps choose to handle selection
themselves without notifying the system.
• Finally floating app like Facebook chatheads may cover the floating indicator in this case you could expand
text by disabling floating indicators. In the future I will add app preference settings that will let you disable
floating icons on specific apps.
P.S.: If you have more issues I will be happy to hear from you go to settings and click send feedback.
Good but gives a warning
Thanks for this great tweak !
I really like it and it seems to be working fine and it is really customizable by its settings.
The only problem I found is that my antivirus (avast) is giving a warning and prompting to uninstall it. I guess it's a false Positive.
The other thing I would have liked is a small animation when expanding text although not an essential thing.
(also you say something about a video in your post but it isn't there ?)

@Isaias Matewos, Can you also please add some macro features like Current Date / Day / Time. etc. Thanks for the wonderful app, I think it's a must app for every Android Power user.
Just wanted to thank the dev, I'm loving this app.
Hello XDA,
Ever wanted to copy some text in an app on Android but you could not because the copy function was deactivated by the app's developer ?
This situation happens quite often actually, as the standard Android long press copy function does not work in some of the biggest Android applications: Facebook, YouTube, Instagram, SnapChat.
However, we at Camel Corporation have found a solution. A proper solution that does not involve taking a screenshot and using OCR or going on the browser version of the app.
Our new app, Universal Copy, enables you to copy (almost) any text from any application in only three simple taps.
First, install Universal Copy from the Play Store.
Follow the steps to activate the app's accessibility service.
Then, when you are in an app and want to copy some text :
open your notification drawer
click on "Activate Universal Copy mode"
tap the text(s) you want to copy
click on "Copy": the selected text will highlight and will be copied to your clipboard!
To get a deeper look at how the app works, you can watch the great video review by TK from XDA.
Let us know if you find this app useful, and dont hesitate to contact me if you have any feature request!
Murin,

V1.2 update
Hi everyone,
First I would like to thank you for your great feedbacks!
We have had two busy weeks and today I am pleased to tell you that we have a nice feature update for Universal Copy.
Due to the way Universal Copy works, you had sometimes no choice but to copy a whole paragraph, then paste it and select only the part you wanted to copy. Therefore we integrated a "selection edit" feature which lets you select the exact sentence or word you want to copy before actually copying. You can trigger it by a long click on the paragraph you want to copy or with the action bar's "Edit" button when you are in the Universal Copy mode. Attached to this post is a screenshot of this feature.
You can grab the 1.2 update in the play store.
We would be glad to hear your feedbacks and comments / feature requests as usual!
Cheers,
Murin
v1.4
Hi,
Two new updates on Universal Copy!
=> The v1.3 brings a shortcut to Universal Copy: thanks to this shortcut you can launch the Universal Copy mode the way you want!
You just need to have some button / gesture customization app or launcher installed on your device, or a custom ROM that allow to assign shortcuts to buttons.
Once the shortcut assigned, you can disable the annoying notification. Universal Copy becomes completely integrated into your system, and that is a quite nice feeling
=> The v1.4 brings a way to copy texts that are on the top of your screen. This was not possible before for the text appeared under the action bar.
Therefore we now added an option to hide the action bar, we call that the "full screen" mode. This option is available in the Universal Copy mode, on the top right side of the screen.
I hope you will enjoy these updates, let me know if you have any other features in mind!
Murin
PS: Forgot to mention that the latest Twitter release disabled the "copy" option to copy tweets content.
Universal Copy works on Twitter, so if you are looking for a solution to copy tweets since last Twitter's update this app is for you!

What do you mean, work always?
If you mean that you want it to work without a notification, you can use the "long click" on a button shortcut, or other builtin shortcuts like the quick settings tiles.
Being an avid news reader, I really missed the good old Google reader when it shut down. After that, a couple of services like FlipBoard popped up...but I didn't like the curation done by them. Feedly is an awesome service...but its UI has become really old and no longer interesting.
So, I decided to make an app with everything I wanted in it as a user. I feel like this has come out really well so far and now, I can use some feedback from the XDA community to perfect it.
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.udn4hc.purerss
The app doesn't have any ads right now. The Screenshots provided in the listing are a little outdated, but I have created a new promo video. Please access it from the play store, or use this link https://youtu.be/ZjzhKE36OrM
I want to provide Feedly sync functionality in the application...but the Feedly team is currently upgrading their API to v2 and won't give access to new applications in the meanwhile. So, that will be a future upgrade whenever they are ready.
To list out a few features in the app -
- flip scrollng - similar to flipboard
- pager scrolling - similar to feedly
- standard Android scrolling with lists and cards
- Offline access to articles/images
- Custom sync/cleanup intervals
- Alternate Themes - 6 currently, including a dark theme
- Multiple fonts available to choose from
- Material Design
- OPML Import
- And many more
Please go through the app and let me know your feedback
Very nice app. I must say that during use the " please refresh feeds, new stories downloaded" message seems a bit passe. If I'm on the app, isnt it better to just refresh the stories automatically, or have a pull down to refresh action ? Also I have no feeds chosen in some categories , however I still need to go through those empty tabs to reach the next tab. Any option to delete unused tabs ? or maybe reorder them.
Whatever the case you are making the appropriate category of app. So far there has still been no google reader alternative.
Importing OPML file is doing nothing...
Maybe it's due to the categorization that could (and would) be different from the default ones?

Can you open the left slide-in pane and see if your feeds are added? You need to press the refresh button for the app to download articles from the imported feeds. Maybe I need to start refresh automatically after importing the OPML file. Another thing on my mind is to hide the empty category tabs that doesn't have any content(as suggested by the above post).

Automatically refreshing the feeds automatically will make you lose your scroll position etc., if you are in the middle of browsing. I like the idea of pull to refresh though. I will have that in. Thanks!
Hiding the empty category tabs seems to be a good suggestion too.

Oh, I've got it. Now I miss:
1. View options, as the feed is shown with a larger picture (thumbnail) that I want. My list become very long...
2. A way to sort the categories (alphabetically, for instance) and, for sure, hide the empty categories.
3. Check duplicate feeds (if any) in different categories.
4. Mark as read until here, till the end, etc.
5. Show feed for just one (or some) URLs within the categories (or, better) allow showing contents with a scrolling menu at left where you could choose which feed you want to read).

Awesome. Glad you found the feeds
Now, let me explain the app and its different "Screens". Firstly, we have home screen, which is visible when you open the app. Then there is a category/topic screen, which is available when you click on topics(Technology, Business etc.,) from the left drawer. Then there is the feed screen, which is available when you expand the topic on left drawer( by clicking on the arrow next to it) and then select the desired feed.
There are multiple views and options available when you are in the category/topic screen and the feed screen. I cannot believe I made it hard for users to get to them The views/layouts are what I am actually proud of about this app! I need to do something to make it easy.
Please refer to the screenshot attached for now or the video that I have provided in the first post.
Only card view and listview can be used in home screen, and I will give an option to toggle between them in the settings. The other views mess with the scrolling on the home screen.
Now to answer your concerns...
1. Will give an option to toggle between list and card for home screen.
2. Sorting/ordering the categories is not available right now. I need to look into that and will get back to you
3. I believe I already do that...but will double check. I check if you have already subscribed to the feed url. I will get back to you on this.
4. That seems like a good option. Will do.
5. I believe that is available from the left drawer. Please let me know if that is not what you specified.
I will post an update tonight addressing these issues(except 2 and 4).
Btw, thanks a lot for taking time to go through this app!

You need to go to the Feed screen to remove the source:
Open left drawer> Expand category(Technology, Business, etc,) by clicking on the arrow left of it> Click on feed > Click on the more icon at the top right corner of the screen there> Click actions.
I have an option to unsubscribe there. Please check the youtube video that I have posted in the first post. It has a lot of information
Also, please refer to the screenshot posted in my previous comment here.

1. In my phone, the list view without pictures still take a lot of space in the screen. I will move the share button to most top right and let the source (feed) name + time use just one line (not spaced). Buttons are also not aligned. Maybe a non-thumbnail view option to avoid the "weird" view with and without thumbnails (picture 1).
2. Swipe left and right in the list view is moving between categories and not bookmarking or deleting (as I've thought reading the settings). Maybe, at least, allow this as keep pressing option over the article list.
3. I miss a full black theme (not just changing the colors).
4. Refreshing is moving the category to "all" feeds and I lost where I was reading.
5. I miss options such "mark as read until here" and "mark as read to the end".
6. I definitively will remove the "title" as categories and move all the quick buttons (share, mark as read, remove, etc.) to there. In the place of "all" categories, a button with a menu.
7. Thanks for the option "leave the app". Other readers, while tapping the return button, just close.
8. A way to sort the categories (or manually or alphabetically).
9. Option to open full article in external browser.
10. Option to choose "default" share option (and not needing to choose the long list all the time).
11. The default view in settings is not changing the "new rss feed" default view. When we add a rss and tap the tool to set the advanced settings, the default view is not the same as I've set for the whole program.
12. Tapping the green mark after adding a rss feed is not unsubscribing and the tool icon does not have an unsubscribe option. If I add a rss feed by accident, I can't remove in the same screen (picture 2).
13. Duplicate rss feeds seems to be allowed (at least, manual one + internal list ones).

Thanks for the feedback. I will fix these defects in a while.
From your comments, I understand that you haven't accessed the Feed screen or the category screen yet. Please open the left slide-in pane and try clicking on a category. Swipe left/right works only in that view. As specified in the settings, that feature is not available on the home screen. You can also access any individual subscribed feed from the left slide-in pane....just expand the category by clicking on the arrow next to it, and click on the feed name.
I am not familiar with the full black theme. Can you point me to an app which has that feature? I need something as a reference.

Firstly, thanks a lot for helping me get the app right. You have been really supportive and I really appreciate your help This is what I love the most about xda community!
Now, let me address your concerns one by one.
1. Fixed partially. Share button should not be at the top of the article - that takes up valuable real estate on screen, and for some reason doesn't feel right to me. I aligned the items properly and resized the icon now. Thanks for pointing that out. I will give a setting to choose if you want to load any images in the app at all. CardView is more optimized for scenarios where you don't have an image for the article. ETA before the end of this week.
2. That feature is not available on the home screen. Navigate to any category or feed through the left swipe-in pane and you will see it working. You have many other options there as well, including new layouts/views. Please watch the video that I shared in the opening post.
3. This will be a future update
4. Fixed. I made it so that hitting refresh will keep you on the same tab. The articles will be reloaded though.
5. I will get those options in before the end of this week.
6. I didn't quite follow that. Can you please explain it in detail?
7. Removed. I saw that feature implemented in a couple of famous apps. Thought it would be good to have it here since exiting by mistake will make you lose your scroll position. I will bring that in as a setting in the future.
8. I will get this in before the end of week as well.
9. Done. Please check for the option in settings.
10. That needs some work. I will probably have it in by the end of this week. I am using the default android's share screen and which is supposed to be "smart", as in remembering the most used app/service or contact.
11. That is a feed specific setting, and is only available from the feed screen. To get to that, navigate to the feed from the left drawer! Please watch the video I posted in the opening post to see how to get there.
12. Fixed
13. I fixed it with the previous update. I check if there is any other feed with the exact url in the list of subscribed feeds. An extra slash or a space might break this. I will look into it further.
Check the screenshot I posted below to see a list of available layouts/views from the category or feed screen. Please don't forget to watch the video(mark 1:48). You are missing out on a lot of features present in this app!
The magazine views work really well only when the articles have a decent quality images present. I am working on optimizing them further.
I will post the update out soon to the play store.
Hey everybody!
To God be the glory, I've been making some custom roms on XDA for a while, but I have decided to try to learn some new things by taking an app developer course. I've made a few apps, and I thought I would share them here as well. This app is open source, you are welcome to go to the Github and post issues, review and or copy the code (it is Apache-2.0 licensed), or download the app and enjoy!
These are my first apps, and I know they need a little improvement. So please feel free to leave a comment! But please remember, the best criticism is constructive.
If you do check out my Github, note that just about every line of my code includes a comment as to what it does or why it exists, so if you are like me and new to Android programming, be sure to check it out to see how it works! Also, in my Github are many "small apps" in the "apps_small" repo, which are apps I either made for the class, or made on the side to test out some feature or function. Hopefully that would be useful to someone.
Without further ado:
A simple, open source app that allows you to search posts on Craigslist.
This app allows you to search Craigslist and save on bandwidth at the same time. The search is only text, which presents you with a list of your search criteria. Then, when you select a posting that you wish to see, it will be displayed as normal in a special web view window. With simple colors and controls, this helps you focus on what is really important: the posts!
Other than the Craigslist postings, there are NO ADVERTISEMENTS!
This app allows you to save on mobile data, as only a small picture of the item is loaded with a price, date, and description (if provided by the poster). You can also click the web browser to open and view the full post if you desire!
You are welcome to stop by the Github (link in app) or website (link in app) to see progress for new features, or if you are into open source coding, you are welcome to submit pull requests and get involved!

One thing I would suggest immediately is to do away with that background and change the font color. A simple black background with white text would work better, but ideally a Material Design layout would be best!

MishaalRahman,
I have some thought to your proposal, and realized you are right, to a degree.
I happen to like the color scheme as is, but I realize that others may prefer something else. The sell cars in every color, so why not let just Craigslist come in more color options?
So, starting with version 1.6, you now have the choice of several colors for title bars, text, backgrounds, and buttons! There are also several pictures to choose from. So now you may have your preferred black background with white text, and I may have my cyan city! Everybody wins!
Thanks for the great suggestion! Please see OP for a few screenshots.

Great suggestion. One problem though: if the user types anything, like a price or search criteria, then the keyboard covers that button. So if the search button was down there, the user would have to hit the back button to make the keyboard disappear, then hit the search button. Do you think that would confuse new users?

After some testing and feedback, it looks like you are right. I have added the search button to the bottom right, and I also added the feature that when you press the enter button on the keyboard after typing, it will search.
