Hi,
I'm evaluating to buy the redmi note 7 pro, but before I want to know how (if it's possible) unlock the bootloader and install a custom rom using linux (lubuntu), I see this thread:

...a guy made a tool for that but in the comments on the download page seems that some users complain about some bugs in the tool and not working in some cases, I don't have a win pc (don't want to switch) and install a vm with win only to do that seems a waste of resource....any of you know if going to a xiaomi store they will do that for you (it's not illegal and they keep your warranty as they say)?...any tested solution with a step by step guide?

Don't try any 3rd party app .... just installl windows to your PC.... & try miui official bootloader unlock tools...

Try this link, I have a FNF Ifive X tablet, but it will not work with windows 8 at the moment as it is rumored the Rockchip will not be catered for until 2013, but for rooting the device, try this link, as they are great for syupport, just let google translate the website.

I have tried the link on my Ifive X tablet and I can confirm the rom is rooted, which you download from the following link, the file download also contains the brush tool to upgrade the firmware, I am also not responsible if you brick your device, hope this helps.
The only issue is the keyboard appears to be Chinese rather than a 100% english, but this may be over come by installing a new keyboard from the play store

Hi, i was unhappy as well as is not easy to get any helpdoe the table tis excellent and will give you lot f pleasure to use.
Find below link where you will see all needed in order to get rooted and CWM on your tab, if you are new, im happy to share with you my experience(little i know)

I want to root htc sensation (it is nor opened byt htcdev) to Jelly Bean. However, I have Mac OS X (latest one OS). Could you tell how to do that? On other pc I have Windows 8 where I did not find drivers and do not want to downgrade it. Is is possible without windows virtualization?
Please help me, some guide for dummies!

i haven't seen so far any thread for rooting devices by using a mac so your only option is windowas 8 pc

Here's a guide to get all that stuff set up on your Mac http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1917237. After you follow that you can unlock the bootloader and flash a custom recovery the same as you would on a PC

Finally I made it using W7:
I use this ROM see the attached file works great...

download a windows launcher from google play...if u want to feel the ui...
Sorry but this doesn´t work...
It´s not possible to use an real windows phone rom on your android device!

Can't you go to your manufacturers support page for your device and find the drivers manually?

R4 is hard to find.
Use the ”OLD” tutorial from my thread (3. EMUI downgrade tutorial - one step) and the files from this image:

But for this i need pc suit to downgrade my firmware , but knaow huawei dellete that option in pc suit , we dont have pc suit downgrade option , how can i downgrade by these files

Nobody can help you if don't understand simple things. Have you seen the tutorial? Have you read the description of the tutorial on the YouTube? Who want to do that for you?

IT is not about your HiSuite installed on your computer. See the tutorial and use the files from tutorial that are on description of it.
Instead to choose the firmware files that are for C432 in the tutorial, use the files that I mentioned on the image on my previous post.
