I was following this link <http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=269175&page=9> which brought me here.
Simply put here's my questions:
1 - does qtek S200 has a GPS antenna deadactivated? cause i've been reading about it but after awhile i get lost with the diferent names this device has! :s
2 - if so, how can i enable this internal gps? Through a ROM update? Which one?
3 - how can i upgrde this s200 to WM6? any interference with the supposed internal gps antenna? Where can i find the that upgrade ROM?
honestly, i've searched and googled about it, a lot! probably i've already seen the answer, i just didn't realise...
If complementary info about my pda is required, just ask..

O s200 nao tem gps interno ..
podes fazer o upgrade para o WM6 e encontras aqui algumas rom's bastante boas.

I own an HTC Polaris, with windows mobile 6.1 (rom by pepe) and I'm having problems on connecting to the 3G network here in Brazil. My mobile operator is TIM, and it uses the band 1800Mhz for GSM and 850Mhz for HSDPA in my region (Ceará).
My problem is: there are only four options in the "band select" menu, which are
1- Auto
2- GSM(900+1800)+UMTS(2100)
3- GSM(1900+850)+UMTS(1900+850)
4- UMTS (2100+800)
If I set band selection to auto mode, I can not connect to the 3G network, only EDGE. If I set to "GSM(900+1800)+UMTS(2100)", only EDGE connection is possible too, but no 3G connection works. If I set options 3 or 4, not only 3G wont work, but I got no phone signal at all.
My question is: is there any way (a software, a registry hack, a magic spell...) to select 1800MHz for GSM and 850MHz for 3G in my Polaris?

frequencies supported by htc phones have always been set by the hardware and
nobody have ever been able to change it by software or radiostacks
as far as i know people in usa who have the same umts frequencies suffer from the same deal
which is why many phones come in 2 version one for the American 3g and 1 for the rest of the worlds systems

Executa a auto configuração que deve ter o perfil da TIM. Se a ROM não possuir esse aplicativo muda pra outra ROM. Aqui em Recife funciona sem problemas com a Claro.

cara, a rede da TIM no RS é 2100, igual à de SP, o meu fincionaria aí também, como funciona bem em SP. mas valeu pela resposta.
Did you tried an original ROM? You can download from htc sit. I'm now cooking my own ROM, i hope it will be finished soon.
Tenta a original da HTC, você pode baixar direto no site. Atualmente estou com a original pois estou fazendo a minha ROM e acho que logo termino, se conseguir tempo.
Escrevi em inglês e em português pois senão o moderador vai reclamar.

OK, Vilton! I`ll try the original ROM. If you manage to cook a stable ROM, please, share. I`ll have to perform a backup, and, as soon as I test the original ROM, I`ll let you know.

Vilton, I tried the original HTC rom from HTC site, but the same problem occurred. Could you tell me your Radio Version? It appears just in the first screen when the device is restarting. You can also find it in Settings>>System>>Device information>>Version.

Using radio 1.59.44.02 but the latest official version is 1.59.42.15 which works very fine. Go to settings -> Connections -> Connection Setup -> and choose Country and Operator, after that, the phone will configure itself for selected operator. Another way is make the connection manually in connections -> Add a new modem connection -> Name your connection and select Cellular line (GPRS, 3G) -> Access point name: tim.br -> User name: tim, Password: tim -> finish. It's done. Then try to access the Internet and the phone will connect automatically.

Check if the Access point name of Tim is correct.
Porém, após ver as configurações da tim na internet, acho que vai ser um problema pra vc. Não vai conseguir ter telefone e internet ao mesmo tempo.

I've tested radio version 1.59.44.02 version, but the camera went dead. So I installed the version 1.64.08.21. Camera problem solved. But 3g still not working. I'll give 1.59.42.15 a try now, but with much low expectations. As for not being able to use the phone, it wouldn't be a problem. I use it only ad a PDA, not my main cell phone. But it will probably work only the GSM function, without 3G, as it happened with all the other roms I tried.

Update:
I tried radio 1.59.42.15 and it was a disaster. The camera went dead again, and I wasn't able to control bright level in battery mode. Looking for answers, I found this thread:

and, then, I finnaly understood why radio versions 1.59.xx.xx refused to work. My rom is version 1.60. So, I tried again to change the radio version to 1.58.32.33, which is apparently the newest in the 1.58.xx.xx group. It worked well, the camera is normal, but no 3G!!!
I really can't find a way to work this out. Still stuck on charcoal powered EDGE...

I recently had a problem with my HTC Diamond, I had removed the battery exchange device chip and now when I turn on, reset, and only connects to the USB or connected to the charger still reboots constantly, I joined the unit in order to Active Sync and it says on the boot screen that appears in the SPL-1.40. Olinex, then how the problem would be to boot the machine, I decided to upgrade with a cooked ROM, then the whole process, completed the 100%, the unit does not have the image file and does not start and keeps restarting, PLEASE HELP ME.

recentemente eu tive um problema com o meu aparelho HTC Diamond , eu tinha retirado a bateria para troca de chip e o aparelho agora quando ligo , reseta , e só liga conectado ao usb ou ao carregador mesmo assim reinicia constantemente , entrei com o aparelho em modo de Active Sync e o mesmo diz na tela de boot que consta o SPL-1.40. Olinex , então como o problema seria a inicialização do aparelho , resolvi atualizar com uma Rom cooked , depois de todo o processo , concluido os 100 % , o aparelho não tem a image file e não inicia e continua reiniciando , POR FAVOR ME AJUDEM .
Perhaps reinstalling again a new ROM.

I have 2 identical G7 Power (XT1955-5). I have rooted both of them same way. Installed Lineage 17.1 on both. One of them has GPS and the other doesn't. After that on the one that doesn't have GPS I have installed Lineage 18, Resurection 8.6.7, Revenge 4.0. With no avail. One time I saw it find gps on Revenge but then disappeared.
All the specs between phones are the same kernels, radios etc. All of them I checked down the line.
Any ideas?

Ok, I got it working. You need to reflash the NON-HLOS.bin and fsg.mbn.
1. Downloaded stock firmware from https://mirrors.lolinet.com/firmware/moto/ocean/official/
2. Flashing and erasing according to this: https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/...mware-unbrick-your-moto.3042687/post-80052655
and it worked.
Mine started working when I went to a different location (work). Weird, not very technical, just an update.
Updated to the latest and now it's GPS and Phone / Modem is gone again. My workaround doesn't help.
Switching back to the other slot is not possible.
The image seems to be the US retail version, while I have the EU version.
20210508 update made GPS/Phone gone again, so I reflashed 20210501, this went to slot a.
I updated again to 20210508 with the built-in updater (to slot b), which went to slot b, then I did copypartitions again. And voila, phone and gps worked again. Hopefully the next update is better.

Seguinte; Instalei esta ROM Lineage OS 18.1 em meu Moto G7 power, o único problema que esta acontecendo, é que não esta permitindo localização em nenhum app. Pesquisei em alguns lugares, e ensina a escolher uma opção "permitir sempre" em cada aplicativo, porém não existe esta opção. Só existe uma opção "permitir durante o uso do app", mas não funciona. Alguém esta com este mesmo problema? Será que tenho rotear meu aparelho?

So you want to install Ace4 stock firmware onto a device which it wasn't made for?
And you want to flash a stock firmware without a PC with a custom recovery?

Afaik you can't flash pure stock with custom TWRP.
acc to https://www.gsmarena.com/samsung_galaxy_s_duos_s7562-4883.php this device is 10 years old.
try to change your routers Wifi to 2.4GHz if it isn't yet.
If it is there's no chance as changing ROM doesn't change hardware.
So if that is incompatible that's how it is.
Nevertheless I've no idea how to flash stock without a PC.

Okay, my router is from Sumicity, I'm from Brazil, you know, this router accelerates more speed, it has ultra speed, it has more megabytes of it, my mother pays for it cheaply, she doesn't pay expensively, ever.
