Alarm and do not disturb - OnePlus 7 Pro Questions & Answers

Hi Comrades,
I'm not sure whether this is an android bug or something specific to OOS. Somehow, when an alarm goes off the DND schedule goes off too. Right now, I have DND set from 10:30 pm to 7 am and I have an alarm set to go off at 6:30 am...after the alarm goes off (and I shut it off), the DND is off. I don't have another android device with me to test this. Coming from and iPhone, I can confirm that alarms do not upset the DND schedules...
Can someone please check this...

Have you perhaps enabled "Alarm can override end time" when you configured your rule? If so, disable it.

Do not disturb setting weirdly missing!

I set an alarm to go off every morning at 3am. I had the option of quieting my phone until a certain time or if an alarm went off. Now, it's gone! WTF can anyone help me here? It's just gone. I havent done anything to make this happen.

Alarms not working after MM update?

Not sure if I need to change some setting somewhere or if something is broken. I woke up a little early this morning and had the phone on when the alarm would normally sound. It just immediately gave me a missed alarm notification instead of ringing. As a test I set the alarm for one minute in the future and turned the screen off. The alarm screen appeared for about a second and then turned off. No sound. I'm not sure if it's something I have set incorrectly. The alarm volume was up. Do not disturb wasn't turned on. Any thoughts?
Quick update, I've been using the Google Clock app for the last year. I found some suggestions to try turning off the battery optimization for the alarm app. Tried that with no success. However, if I set an alarm with the default Alcatel Time app it appears to work. For now I'll just switch back to that.

Do not disturb mode

Hi All,
Since the update added automatic sleep tracking I have been wearing my watch to bed but it seems the update has changed the dnd mode as well. Before I was pretty sure setting my phone to dnd also set the watch to dnd as well but now I have to manually set it on the watch. Anyone found a way to set both at the same time (I use tasker to set my phone to dnd mode, would be great if they went together or tasker could change this setting on the watch also)
Hi,
I also use tasker to control dnd mode, but it has never triggered this on my watch, before or after the update. If you find a way to do that automatically let me know please, but I think it is not possible.
old topic, but right now you can make it running by schedule. just go into settings->device->Do Not Disturb -> schedule and set days/hours to turn it on/off

Looking for Alarm app that allows overriding next day's set alarm

Hi guys
Does any of you know about an app that would allow me to do the thing described in the title? To give an example:
Let's say I have a periodic alarm set from Monday to Friday set for 8am. On Wednesday evening however I decide that I would like to be woken up on Thursday not at 8am, but at 9am. Normally I would have to disable alarm on Thursday and set new alarm and then on Thursday turn on first alarm again. Or change the hour of alarm, but the next day I would have to change it back again and I might forget about it. What I would like is to have an option to override the thursday's alarm hour but only on next day. After that I would like for it to automatically go back to previous setting.
Any help appreciated.
Alarm clock plus - option to "skip next occurrence". Still the best alarm, shame it's not still developed.
Thanks a lot Josh!
Looks like exactly what I was looking for.

Lockscreen always shows alarm set for +10 mins from current time

So, odd thing here. My lock screen always shows an alarm set for 10 mins later than the current time, even when NO alarms are set. Anyone ever seen this before?
Here is a picture of what I am seeing....
Are you using e.g. Tasker with any Alarm Options? Had the same effect with the 6T and now on the 7p. Figured out, it was Tasker... (I used it to check the alarm volume)

Hmm, I do have Tasker, but don't have it checking anything with alarms. I am using the same profile I had on my 6T. I will test disabling Tasker and see if the issue persists.
** Edit - well, I disable Tasker, and it fixes the issue. How odd... Now, to narrow down what profile is doing it....
** Edit #2 - odd. turns out I have a profile that performs an action every 3 hours. same profile on my 6t. It does not add the alarm to my lock screen on the 6t, but does on the 7 pro.
Also, does anyone know what the "Lock" icon is above my time? My 6T also did not display that icon, so just wondering...
