LG G3 Bootloop - General Questions and Answers

I was able to successfully root this LG G3 D-852 device (after downgrading the stock android) and install TWRP and LineageOS. It was quite an effort to get there, but I was very happy to finally have it working. It worked for a few weeks, then I installed a new nightly build and the phone no longer will boot LineageOS (Note: I dont know that it is directly related to the update).
The phone will show the LG splash screen, then go dark, and then show it again. I can get to TWRP by holding volume down and power, letting go of power when the log shows, and then pressing it again. I tried to go in there and wipe and reinstall, but it still doesn't boot LineageOS anymore.
What am I missing? How can I debug what is happening?

Motorola XT5 Not Booting <<HELP>>

I had flashed my Motorola XT5 (Z71 variant) to CM 7.0.3 and installed CWM Recovery 2.5.1.3. Everything was going smoothly since 17-Oct-11. I used update-CM-7.0.3-Z71-signed.zip to updated using ROM Manager 4.5.0.1
I installed a few apps from the Market yesterday & they were working fine. Total apps installed = 128. I switched off the phone yesterday night.
This morning, when I switched it on, the Motorola Logo appeared followed by the CM7 Splash Screen (for a little while only). Then the screen went blank (slight glow in the background) and remained like that for several minutes. No buttons working incl. Power. Had to reset the phone by removing the battery.
Tried to boot into recovery by holding 'Camera+Vol Up+Power' buttons. Motorola Logo appears with "Enter recovery" written across on top. remains in this screen for several minutes. Had to again reset by removing battery.
Please Help! I can't seem to figure out what to do. I have a fairly good tech skills. Will follow steps if you're kind enough to guide me. Please.
Enter fastboot
Use it to install the custom recovery.
What is the key sequence to get into Fastboot on Motorola Xt502?
What should I do once I get into Fastboot?
Please guide!
TIA
It's
endcall vol down power
But you need some tools to install recovery.
Other solutions use [SUT] to refresh the firmware '*. nbo'

LG Logo Bootloop - Can't access TWRP - No DL Mode

Hi guys,
New to flashing custom ROMS. Good news - flashed CM12, then LiquidSmooth and I'm learning a lot after having soft bricked my phone a few times. Bad news - After trying to get back to Stock I'm not able to get out of this LG Logo bootloop. The LG logo will flash, screen will go black and the whole process starts again. It doesn’t progress past that. I'm unable to get to TWRP recovery or download mode.
My idiotic move:
Iffy stability with camera and mobile data with CM and LiquidSmooth. Decided to go back to Stock.
I flashed my nandroid backup, which I believe led to a bootloop (can’t remember). Was able to boot to TWRP and get back to CM12. Then I had the genius idea of using AutoREC and selecting the “Go Back to Stock” option. Yes, it’s already sounding like a bad, and nonsensical idea as I say it now. Can't remember exactly what I did next - I either flashed my nandroid backup or did a factory reset through CM settings. Threw me into this bootloop.
The details:
Model - D800 - Am sure of this.
Stock software before flashing CM12 was Lollipop 5.0.2 via OTA.
TWRP Recovery 2.8x something or other. Used AutoRec to flash.
I can interrupt the bootloop and access Factory Hard Reset through Power + Volume Down
Had to go to JB Bootloader in order to Flash ROMs. Errors returned otherwise.
Roadblocks:
No download mode. Holding Volume Up & Inserting USB cable doesn't work. Although am able to get bootloop to include a blank screen with red flashing LED through this method from time to time.
Phone boots up, and goes directly into bootloop when plugging USB cable into phone. This happens both when plugging into a wall charger or into a computer. I think this is probably the biggest pain and is holding up things from progressing. Can turn off phone by holding down power for a few seconds, BUT if the phone is plugged in it will continue to boot on its own.
Phone not recognized by computer & ADB However, was at times able to get Device Manager to recognize the phone as an "Unknown Device" after going to the Factory Hard Reset screen. This is no longer working after trying different drivers. I’ve went through LG Mobile Universal Driver as well as the Koush driver.
Going through Factory Hard Reset via hardware buttons only throws phone back into BootLoop
Can’t boot into TWRP
Any insight or help guys? Thanks in advance. I think getting into Download Mode will be a quiet victory. I’d like to try to use Supersports guide once I get there to go back to stock.

LG G Pad 7.0 V410

Just wanting some advice (if any) to a white line issue I'm having with this tablet. I bought this tablet with Lollipop 5.0.1 already installed. I managed to get it downgraded, rooted, and currently have TWRP installed as well as CM12.1 nightly. The problem I have is that as soon as I install ANY custom recovery (TWRP or CWM recovery) it boots normally at first giving me the LG logo. Then, instead of getting the AT&T logo (or the CM custom boot animation), it gives me a series of white lines spamming from top to bottom of the screen. I know for a fact it has to be software related as when I return to stock KK everything boots fine, giving me the LG logo followed by the AT&T logo. I did NOT use the ADB method. Instead I downgraded using the LG Flash Tool, and a test KDZ file, which allowed me to install Flashify, then TWRP. My problem ONLY begins once I install ANY custom recovery. This process did not unlock my bootloader, however. Could this be my culprit, or would it be something else? Any help is greatly appreciated, and thanks in advance for any help/tips. More information is completely available upon request.
P.S. The white lines eventually disappear when the screen goes to sleep on it's own. I can then press the power button to wake the device which gives me the lock screen as normal. I just want to know if I can get the boot animation working. Everything else works fine.
You found cwm?

Recovery boot loop and OS boot loop on HTC m8, lineageOS 18.0

I tried to install Lineage 18.0 ( lineage-18.0-20201109-UNOFFICIAL-m8.zip ) on my old HTC m8.
I had previously installed CyanogenMod on it 6(?) years ago, so it was rooted, unlocked, and already had an old TWRP.
I updated TWRP to twrp-3.5.2_9-0-m8.img and got an unofficial lineage 18.0 zip
TWRP installed this fine, I went through the Lineage setup - wifi, time zone etc. It seemed to be working fine. I wanted to sideload an APK from TWRP so restarted the whole phone.
Now there are two problems that prevent me using the phone, and fixing either one of them should be enough for me to fix things.
1) TWRP seems to have disappeared to be replaced with nothing interactive. If I hold power+vol down to get to the menu that le5ts me choose RECOVERY and select RECOVERY it will do one of two things, unpredictably - (1) stay on the white 'entering recovery' 6 seconds, then black 2 seconds then back to 'entering recovery' in a loop, OR (2) it will move onto the Lineage OS boot screen (black with a little animation), get to the home screen and crash back to the Lineage OS loading screen then loop through this continuously.
I see from the Lineage official site that the m8 is only up to 17.1, and they have their own Recovery (I didn't install Lineage's recovery). So this is perhaps mostly my own fault, but I'd like to get back control of the phone and try an official ROM.
Some questions:
1) How do I tell if I still have TWRP somewhere? Can I get back into it to load up a more stable older Lineage OS?
2) Is there any recovery at all? I assume there must be to get the Lineage OS loader started. There's nothing interactive or message about what recovery is running.
3) As I can't get to a functional normal working phone I can't do USB debugging. Can I use the adb commands against the phone if I have it connected by USB and sitting on the FASTBOOT screen from the boot loader? (not sure if I've got the right terminology there, this is the white screen with the two or three bootup items that you navigate with vol up / down and power).
4) Is there anything I can do with the Lineage OS startup so it doesn't just loop upon showing the home screen? Some sort of safe boot mode? I saw an older post saying to hold vol down once the OS boot animation screen starts, but that doesn't seem to do anything for me.
5) Complication - ADB didn't seem to work with this phone any more, even before I got it into this state, perhaps because of age, but it did work many years ago (different PC, USB cable). I think the only way I can get any new content onto the phone is through the external SD card, but even then I need to get to TWRP or something interactive to do anything with the card content.
Thanks for any advice you can offer.
My recommendation:
Take it to authorized service center and let them try to fix it.

Ebay has them from something like $30 - $60 used, so I don't think its going to be worth paying for a fix. Given that it's rooted and about 7 years old I strongly suspect that it is no longer covered by the warranty (is HTC still in business?). Still a very nice phone for its time - brushed metal body, solid, great stereo speakers, reasonable screen, in 'near new' condition even now. In a few ways better than my S8.
I suspect it will be going for recycling or an aggressive 'ifixit teardown' style post mortem if nothing comes up here.

Need help on bricked and boot-loop LG V50 Thinq KT..

Hello guys, I bought a used LG V50 Thinq KT 5 months ago and made it as my daily driver. I shot videos for some projects on the phone and I think the problem was because I had a ton of 4K videos on that phone and forgot to delete some of it and the storage probably got full and couldn't handle the background tasks that were mainly running the phone. It began overheating, then frequent freezing of the phone, couldn't even get past the lockscreen because it would just freeze everytime I opened it up. It then just boot-looped everytime I tried to turn on the phone. I actually did the factory reset where you press the power button and volume down button, It went to this factory reset mode and decided to wipe everything. Unfortunately after a couple of seconds it said "Erasing" then it would just boot loop all over again. I researched some tutorials on youtube on how to unbrick phones and want to try to flash a new stock LG V50 ROM. I've downloaded everything and the correct version of the ROM because I can still access the IMEI on my phone. What my problem is now, is that I can't access the bootloader because I haven't turned on the OEM bootloader option on the developer options. I am completely stuck and want to find a way how to turn on the bootloader on this phone without accessing the developer options so that I am able to flash the new stock ROM via LGUP..
any solutions yet ?
