not that good on default app, but better using google camera app
Has noise specially for the ultra wide camera
I no longer use my A70 for low light pictures because of the very low quality results.

Have you tried the gcam. Night sight has been pretty cool in my experience.
The stock camera app isn't optimised at all. Its almost as if Samsung went out of their way to nerf the sensor's performance. Gcam can produce Much better photos but has all the drawbacks of a 3rd party camera app on a Samsung phone - limited resolution etc. Samsung need to do better.
samsung phones have the worst quality/price ratio

Low light quality isn't that good. But its too good considering its price range.
7/10. Xiaomi could have done this job better. Some times its too bright and sometimes its too low light. Manual adjustment is best.
I don't know if anyone has noticed it yet or not. I'm on latest MIUI 9 beta. While shooting indoors video framerates drops in between 20-24 frames and in night its horrifying 14 fps with stock miui camera. while recording video with open camera is fine but not perfect. its framerates hover between 26 to 29 fps.
worse than on other devices at that price

Lag in viewfinder is a function of a slower shutter speed to capture more light. In day light, a shutter will be much faster that 30 FPS, so it looks smooth, but when shooting it low light, it adjusts to slower shutter speed, there for not as smooth as 30fps, maybe more like 10-15 fps.

So far superb. Better than my previous phone, z3 compact.
Really good camera but apart from slow motion, there were no other innovations on camera lens from Sony, a company someone expects a lot in the field of camera lens.
state of art imx400 but no long exposure?? 32 sec shutter speed is there even on g5 plus.

Camera for a low light close shot are great
Was very surprised to see how well a close up image in low light turned out. I have to say in low light to pick up the colors it did was amazing. Samsung did great with this camera.

Bad
Poor poor poor. Lot of noise. Absolutely no clarity. It reminds me of my Moto G. (2013)
The Nokia 6.1 Plus suffers a LOT in low light. It, without flash, almost sees nothing at night. Though I think it can be improved via software updates.
With Google Camera(v6.1 by Arnova8G2) even without night sight, it works fine, just like every budget device. And with night sight, while the pictures turn out to be a little bit unnatural, it's much, much better.
even after the pie update Nokia 6.1 plus low light images are not as good as expected
The quality can be greatly improved by switching to 4:3 ratio together with the google pixel camera apk
