When I got the phone 5 days ago the home button was raised a good bit and it felt comfortable. I however noticed that it has since become almost flush with the screen. Is it meant to do this? Do I have a faulty phone and if so should I exchange it? It felt much better raised.

Are you afraid to get a new one? If your questioning it I would go get it replaced, why torture yourself with I should have...should I...go do it if you feel it's not right.

Mine sits just about flush with the same phone. Unsure if that's how it's supposed to be but I like it better than raised. I don't remember if it was raised when I got it tbh

I went to the store today and the ones on display were practically flush as well. However I exanged my phone anyway just in case this actually is a defect. Thanks for the help everyone.

I would stay away from any hard plastic cases as it VERY easy to scratch and crack.
I stopped using these cases after my Samsung Behold. I had one on my phone... My phone fell out of my pocket and this case broke off -___-

I have been using hard plastic cases for two years, and so far so good. There are no scratch/scuff marks that I can make out. Of course the user experience will depend heavily on the quality of the plastic, but that's the case for all cases.
I work in an indirect Verizon location and noticed this little filler packaging inside of a phone case. Chuckled to my self when I saw the superuser app
