The 5g model will be a different model coming later, you can only get the standard 7 pro
From OnePlus website from next week or select carriers depending where you are,
In terms of region you will get the correct model depending on the online store you buy from
Eg OnePlus UK online store on the OnePlus website
op 7 pro
can any one explain what the difference is between
GM1911
GM1913
GM1915
an
GM1917
pretty sure theyre color/ram/storage
GM1917 is the blue 12GB/256GB - this is the only one ive seen circulating the internet.
last time i contacted OP they said the 7pro has only one global variant.

I don't believe this is right. I have a Blue version 8GB/256GB and it's GM1917. I think the variants are about location.
US/Global Unlocked GM1917
T-mobile GM1915
India GM1911
RU GM1913

I have the Global/US direct from OnePlus 2 days ago: It is GM1915 12GB Nebula Blue 256GB
Whats the technical difference between GM1917: Global/US Unlocked and GM1913: EU. (LTE bands?)
I want to buy US version and use in EU. Its much cheaper.
GM1917 ➡ Global and US-unlocked Model
*Supports conversion or line-opening (such as when using Verizon Telecom)
GM1915 ➡ US-Locked Model (such as T-Mobile)
*Same as GM1917 but with baseband locking for US Telecoms
*Modified Oxygen OS w/ Telecom Apps
GM1913 ➡ EU Model
*Same as bands as Global, but different charging socket (triple socket).
GM1920 ➡ EU 5G Model
*Same as GM1913 but with 5G Bands
GM1911 ➡ India Model
*Same bands as Global, but with specific tweaks for India-based Telecoms, like VoLTE and baseband prioritization adjustments
GM1910 ➡ China Model
*Hydrogen OS, does not have Playstore and Google Frameworks
*Sends analytical data to mainland China based on enforcing Chinese Laws
*If already converted to Oxygen OS, bootloader has been unlocked and relocked, which tampers the Widevine L1, L2, L3 for google security, meaning Full-HD and HDR+ services from supported apps will not work (example: Netflix)

I have GM1910 with HydrongenOS and it's Widevine L1. Netflix still only max up at 720P though but I think that's par for Android.
Is rooting now dead for people needing Widevine L1?

That's because you haven't converted it yet to Oxygen OS, which requires bootloader unlocking and relocking
On eBay someone is selling Oneplus 7 Pro GM1910 (china version) but they state that it is T-Mobile unlocked.
Does this mean it is just a chinese model with international-ROM installed?
Will this work on USA GSM mobile carriers?
Will I have any trouble with bootloader unlocking/custom recovery/custom ROMS which I would not have?
Is there any downside of this GM1910 (china version) over the normal Oneplus 7 Pro?
Thanks in advance for the help.

I'd steer clear of it.
If it's a T-Mobile phone, there's a good chance that it's blacklisted due to an outstanding balance on the phone.
Another red flag :
Why doesn't the seller just sell the phone in the same condition (with the original firmware), regardless of which model it is?
If anything, they could offer to flash whatever firmware you'd like.
Guessing the price is too good to be true, but, if you're willing to take your chances, good luck.
Why not give Swappa a shot? You can ask the sellers directly any questions you'd like & I bet if you made a fair & reasonable offer, you'd get a better experience that whatever that deal is you presented here.

T-Mobile version is a 1915, the US unlocked version is a 1917.
Stay clear of anything that is not a US version if you are in the US.
While it may work, you will not be able to resell the device to a Verizon user because a 1910 will not work on Verizon.
My G1913(UK) works great in the US, full LTE speeds and VOLTE.

If I buy the chinese version of this phone and then change the ROM to the global one. Would I be able to unlock the bands for my country? What are the bands that are blocked by hardware and can't be umblocked no matter what?

Bands can't be changed via flashing to another ROM. They are locked in hardware.
I have a OnePlus 7 pro from China. What are the versions of firmware that I can use with it from Europe global or India? Any help would be appreciated

You should be able to install any of them, as long as the model number is the same.
