hi guys in my mi8 apps keep freezing and crashing but when i set governor to performance it gonna alright
so what is the problem with apps ??

performance lovers here ?
just a few tips !
change pm sleep mode to 0 = little faster wake up and less lag after wake up - little more battery (build prop)
install sebastian 1,5 ghz kernel or higher
since mikes rom is supercharge ready ... install kick ass kernelizer and supercharger
set the supercharge script to a little more agressive minfree setting ... i set it to 8
also enable nitro lag nullifier in supercharger
now another trick i found out to disable some lags
since i noticed some lags after wake up and some lags that appear without a special reason i looked in task manager. there were services and apps restarting all the time ! what ... cant be i said to my self ...
with supercharger you can set apps bulletproof ... so they wont be killed when minfree settings reach critical memory limits. set the services and apps that are restarting as bulletproof in supercharger
some apps and services that are bulletproved in my rom
android.mms
android.phone
whatsapp - restartet often
facebook.orca - restartet often
mediaserver - restartet often
htccontacts - restarted often
process.media
musicenhencer
...
the apps that restarted often dont restart anymore - less lag
and i would advice to let sebastian kernels untouched ... no setcpu (causes lag too for me) (no forcing second core onlline all the time)
thats it .... if someone wants to test this ... please pm me or report back ... so i will know if there is a real noticable benefit for you guys ...
thanks

guys...my phone sometimes freezes on the lockscreen....and I have to pull out the battery...the problem is that this happens with all roms, sense or not based....
what's going on?!
You may get more help if you provide a little more info, ie:
-Are you using a specific 3rd party launcher with roms?
-Are you using a custom kernel, and if so what are your settings?
-Have you tried running in safe mode to rule out 3rd party apps?
-Did this problem begin after anything in particular you can think of?
-etc....
Maybe too low CPU values?
Undervolt can cause this as well.
It happened to me while using APEX on ARHD.
But indeed more info is needed.
this started a week ago...with miui official/faux kernel and now with aokp b38/tamcore kernel....I know tamcore kernel is undervolted, and don't know nothing about faux's one...
I use nova launcher, setcpu is set at 384/1188 and I have a profile screen-off at 192/432...
uh, forgot, I use SIO scheduler...I set it with no frills and uninstalled it after, to have just one cpu control app (setcpu)...
this morning my alarm didn't ring! then I had to pull out the battery because it was freezed...luckily I woke up by myself this morning XD
I recommend to use a higher off-screen value (384 MHz) as a first try. See how it reacts and also use an app to check the current voltage (like system tuner / st pro).
If this does not helps then start isolating apps.
I have NOOP sched and 384-432 Off-screen and had no issues far, but I remember that with 192 Mhz a while ago the screen did not wake up a few times (on ARHD 6.3.x).
I updated to b39, nothing now....if it freezes i'll try setting a higher minfreq...
thank you all! thx+1
Hi everyone,
I've got a problem with my Samsung GT-I9300(Galaxy SIII) device.
The problem is each time i install some custom ROM (no matter if the kernel original or not is), my CPU is getting very hot extremely fast, even if i'm not using apps that can use a lot of memory/CPU.
Please tell me what the kind of problem is it and how to get rid of it.
Thanks

Try
1)Turning down the brightness
2)Turning off un-needed apps properly
3)Dont leave your android screen on when not sitting on it
4)Take out SD-Card (when not needed)
5)Dont play on your android while charging
6)Change wallpaper
(if the problem continues Please reply) :fingers-crossed:
Not helping...

No, it doesn't help. I've stopped all the processes every time i stopped using it and so on, but it's heating evenso. [And the check-programm shows that most time CPU was used fully-4 cores, 1,4GHz]

You could try buy a new phone? or exchange it or even try get this one checked out
No.

The most interesting that it's not a phone problem. When I install some kind of stock OS (no matter if it's XXEMG4 kernel or XXUFME7 etc.), everything is OK.
BUT DON'T RECOMEND ME TO FLASH STOCK OS! I'M THE CUSTOM OS's FUN!!
Tweak the build.prop for battery related lines...and yea also frequently clear the ram.. And browse the net for prevention of overheating of battery and install the scripts..

No problem with battery. CPU is overheating - I've checked this.
Root your phone and install v6 supercharger. Makes your phone faster and uses less ram so less cpu consumption and less heating

Was just wondering, if undervolting can cause apps to crash?
Yes. It can cause the whole phone to crash as well.

Too much undervolting crashes the CPU which results in a shutdown or if UVi is set on boot in a endless bootloop.
Dear mates,
Need help regarding DVFS disabling without xposed, as using xposed framework's wanam xposed module causing crashes/freeze.
Hi guys,
Does anybody knows how to disable DVFS without using the xposed framework on marshmallow. Changing the permissions of dvfs, dvfs max lock and dvfs min lock worked perfectly in lollipop, but no more working on marshmallow.
I have disable DVFS using wanam xposed module of xposed framework, disabling DVFS for particular apps only causes phone to freeze frequently while switching to fullscreen apps and disabling DVFS globally causes slight lag in animations which I dont like.
Guys pls suggest if anyone has a beter idea.

I'm looking for the same thing.
what worked for me is, you turn off the permissions for what you mentioned. Dvfs max lock/min lock/ dvfs itself. But also turn off permissions for Throttling 1-4 or however many throttling options you have. When you scroll down to the bottom you should see the throttling ooptions Also,If you use kernel toolkit theres a option in there for throttling as well. i set the value to 0. overclocked my big and small cpu's from there and had zero issues . It stays overclocked no matter what. As far as a fix for it reseting when your phone resets, i have not figured out anything on that. i will post the link i found on here in a second and it will all make since.

what i said below in the comments is based off of this. However, the addition is turning off permissions for throttling 1-4 as well as the dvfs min lock/max lock.

Thanks KellyKelz ... I will try out your suggestions today itself....and will tell whether it worked for me or not....
Can u plz tell me what kernel toolkit do you use and the overclocked frequencies you use??
Just download xtouchwiz from xposed
Go to system and at the very bottom, there is the setting for disabling

Hi interestingKid,
do u disable dvfs globally or for selected apps?? Selected apps section in xtouchwhiz does not work for me... and disabling dvfs everywhere by ticking the option disable dvfs causes slight lag in phone...
