Why Pixel's play store is different than regular store? - Google Pixel 3a Questions & Answers

As you can see in the pictures below, the new buttons organization and shapes in google play store v16.3.36 (material design) are different on pixel phones (I have 3a xl). Any thoughts? Why is it like that?
Tnx.

Because one is a beta release and one isn't?

because Google is rolling out a new design, now finally for everyone. They tested it a few month back already, pulled it and now release it again. The pixel already got the updated design, the other phone not. They are rolled out quite randomly

[APP][2.1+] QuickChange 3.0

Hi everyone! I just updated my first ever app to version 3.0. It's called QuickChange, and it helps you keep track of how much money is in your piggy bank, or other coin-containing apparatus. It supports 7 different currencies too.
It has a slick new interface, lets you track multiple jars, shows you graphs of your balance over time, and I think it's really polished in this version. Check it out and tell me what you think!

That is awesome. Thanks for the app. Definitely going to try this.
Great to hear! Let me know what you think. I just released a 3.1 update, adding Indian Rupees (by request from the Play Store comments section)

[APP] Google Play 3.10.9

Version 3.10.9 of the Google Play app is pushing out to phones tonight, but there aren't any major changes. In fact, a cursory glance shows it as basically the same as the 4.2 Google apps version except that now you can delete items in your Wishist and you get a new screen when apps are installing. More than likely there are more behind-the-scenes changes as well.
The apk*is floating around in the usual spots and will install right over your existing Play Store app. Or you can just wait it out and you should see it "soon". Hit the link to get it now

What's New?
As you can imagine, a 0.0.1 bump indicates that not much at all has changed. There are definitely updated translations inside. I've also found some code changes related to deferring auto-updating of apps, which I think may be used to make auto-updating less taxing on a device that could be already doing a bunch of things. The delay seems to be set at 300,000 milliseconds, which equals 5 minutes. That's about it - everything else looks minor.

No visual snapshot in Google assistent

Hi,
I noticed both my Samsung A5 2017 and desk drawer Nexus 5 are still on the old Google Assistant layout. With the blue icon right top, only for the explore tab.
Google released the 'visual snapshot' on July 17th which is a very welcome replacement for Google now cards. Thing is I notice all friends and family being on this new layout whilst both of my devices are left behind.
I tried the usual tricks of clearing cache, reinstalling the Google app etc.
Question is:
are any of you also still on the old layout?
is there some way to trigger the new interface?
For reference here is a picture with the old layout on the left, and new on the right.

Gear 2 Solo SM-R710 - Real Life Photo - Prototype Hardware

I was looking though some old photos and i saw this. At the time i wasn't on XDA.
One time, many years ago, a testing prototype of the Gear 2 Solo went for sale on a local romanian website.
Didn't have money to buy it unfortunately. But here is a photo from the ad. (It was listed as non-functional, although i suppose only the display was broken.)
Well... Not quite "the photo from the ad". Young me extracted the photos and put them on a purple background for some reason.
That just means that somebody, somewhere, still has one of these extremely rare prototype hardwares.
