Tks for your comment. However, I have tried the option "Search For ADB" which lead me to google, but I can't find my device Wolfgang AT-AS40SE on the internet. I also contact the manufacturer, but they hesitate to contact me...

you could try this tool:
httx://cdnpic.mgyun.com/files/products/vRoot/2013/17040128/VRoot_1.4.3.3396_Setup.exe
someone with the AT-AS40SE had his phone rooted with this tool. One problem though.. the tool itself is chinese.

That's bad luck
Well if you were to root it make sure you follow that thread. Stay away from toolkits. You'll learn more and run into less problems. :good:
And as for the rogue app, if it's not solved then maybe the only way is to root it and freeze or delete it. I'm pretty certain you would be able to find it once you root but hope there are others who know much more than me come and help

Has anyone tried this yet? I had completely given up on my p20 . . . but would really appreciate if there was some light at the end of the tunnel! Thanks
If I can't unlock the bootloader, the P20 is going into the bin.
