PS4 Remote Play and Controller support for OOS(OTG) - OnePlus 7 Pro Themes, Apps, and Mods

I'm gonna make this short and sweet. I was trying to get my Controller to work and couldn't at all. Do I did some digging and found some .kl files from @arter97 that worked really well for our device. Do I made a Magisk module with the current 1 Controller module that gives us PS4 controller support via OTG back! (Bluetooth still doesn't work for some reason) but here you go! Should work for custom ROMs also. https://drive.google.com/file/d/1-KGKQZJanKtrV2gWRcHtepguXqiHbJ0r/view?usp=drivesdk
EDIT
UPDATING THREAD TO INCLUDE DS4 SUPPORT IN REMOTE PLAY
DS4 XPOSED PACKAGE
STEPS TO GET DS4 WORKING IN REMOTE PLAY
1. Download the files above.
2. Extract them.
3. Install both apks inside. (One is the EdXposed Manager and other is the DS4 adapter module)
4. Flash the Riru 19.4 Core in magisk first
5. Flash the EdExposed zip now.
6. Reboot
7. Go to the EdXposed manager and enable the ds4 adapted module.
8. Reboot
9. Startup Ps4 Remote play and plug in the ps4 controller (make sure the controller module is installed)
10. It may be finicky at first to get it to go but just hit buttons untill it works and you should be good.
DISCLAIMER!
SNAPCHAT USERS! THIS PACKAGE INCLUDED SHOULD IN THEORY NOT GET YOU BANNED FROM SNAPCHAT. IF YOUR STILL SCARED I SUGGEST INSTALLING THE SNAPCHAT MODULE IN MAGISK I PUT IN THE ZIP FOR IT.

You can try with an otg cable. This module should support ps3

Just tested it. Controller is recognized but only left analog stick is usable. Weird

Do you have the working remote play apk ?

What do you mean no results. With remote play you also have to install the PS4 remote play module in magisk. Once that's done download the remote play apk from apkmirror. Once you installed it go back to magisk and use magisk hide to hide magisk from remote play. Then go to settings in magisk and click the 4th option from the top. At that point force close remote play and reopen it. It shod work after that

Did all this just crashes everything in the beginning

well, actually with that xposed module where author ported HidSonyDS4Service, ds4 should be recognized at remote play even with bluetooth connection. but still, if you have some problem with keylayout - you should install proper .kl files
rip me, cuz xposed fails safetynet, heh

Edxposed doesn't lol and seems like Android 9 messes up the kl files so I added the correct ones that fix it. And for some reason the hid driver's for Sony devices aren't added to the kernel hence why on the note 9 it works fine on pie but on the note 10 it doesn't. I haven't found a sd855 device that has it working at the moment. So that's why you need otg

I've tried this but only touchpad works nothing else on the app

Didn't work for me in Havoc OS. Thinking about going back to OOS anyway but would've liked to see it work in a custom rom.

Ricomagic 802 IIIs & sixaxis controller app ?

Hi,
bought the Ricomagic 802 IIIs and would like to play some old N64 games with this thing and my PS3 Controller. It should possible to connect the PS3 Controller wirelessly to the Ricomagic but it did't work for me.
First, I flashed the stick with the neomode custom rom that supposed to be fully rooted but I believe it's not rooted. I understand that I need the sixaxis controller app to get my PS3 Controller connected to the Ricomagic via bluetooth connection.
When I start the app, connect the PS3 controller via USBcable to the Ricomagic Stick and click the Start Button, I get alot of error messages about the device that has no superuser permission etc ? this should not happend if the image is rooted
Which is the best custom (rooted) Image for the 802 IIIs and how can I successfully connect and use my PS3 controller with the 802 IIIs ?
I installed the superuser app but the sixaxis app is not asking for su permission on startup?
who can help ?
thanks in advance,
Regards

How do I connect an Xbone controller to my 4.4.2 SCH-i535?

Hello again!
I'm still new fairly here as this is my second post.
I have a Verizon Galaxy S3 (SCH-i535) I rooted with Towelroot. I don't have any kind of Superuser app installed on my phone, and I don't know if I can install Safestrap.
I want to connect my Xbox One controller via a USB OTG cable to my phone for use with Retroarch. The controller vibrates when I plug it into my phone, but there are no lights and I get no response from pressing the buttons in Retroarch. I used the Easy OTG Checker app and found that my phone correctly identified my controller as "Microsoft Controller". I tested my keyboard with the OTG cable in Retroarch and Chrome and and it worked, so I know my OTG cable is working. However, I still can't get any app to respond to my Xbox One controller.
After looking at some tutorials I saw that I may need the USB/BT Joystick Center app installed in order to actually use the controller. I installed the app, tapped the "Search" button, and got the following error:
Code:
Cannot get access to '/dev/uinput'. Please install a custom rom with root rights.
I do have root rights, so there must be something blocking the app from accessing /dev/uinput. Is this because I don't have a Superuser app installed?
Also, can I install Safestrap?

Hmmm if you figure this out please let me know. I have an Xbox one myself and would love to connect it to my phone. And yes you can install safestrap as long as you are able to root the phone
Safestrap can be installed via Odin
Nexus 6 via VRToxin

Otg funtionality....

So i got a bunch of on the go cables. And wanted to see what the stylus could do.
So far ive hooked a 160 gb otg hard drive. Works decently.
2. Ps3 control for gaming.
3 flash drives. Of coarse this works.
4. Usb ob2 interface for scanning automobile ecus. Works better than g4 if i might add.
5. A old logitech wingman joystick. Works on some flight simulators.
I also ordered a while back a fastboot cable for my kindle. When i plug in on ms631 from power off no commands needed boots straight to fastboot mode
Im gonna make a pair of vr goggles prob this weekend and see if this screens good enough for vr. Did it on my g3 and g4. And it was killer
How did you get you're OTG to function? I plug in a 8gb flash drive to mines and it doesn't work for me I'm using the T-Mobile version MM.
Nothing its reading natively. Try stick mount.
Ive been reading about loads of people haveing problems with it im looking for a fix.
But the phone most def supports otg verriefied from more than one site

Has anyone figured out how to get OTG to work on the T-mobile LG G Stylo with Marshmallow? Mine has the latest stock 20c software (H63120c). I use OTG with my FLIR One Android, my SDRPlay, and my RTL-SDR stick, and it would be sad if I have to still use my old Xperia Z for all that.

This page seems to say that adding the file android.hardware.usb.host.xml to /system/etc/permissions will enable USB host mode. Has anyone tried adding this file to a T-Mobile or Metro PCS Marshmallow phone? I haven't rooted my T-mobile Marshmallow phone yet, but I will if I root access will allow me to enable OTG.

Update: Has anyone with T-mobile or MetroPCS Marshmallow and root tried this app, or manually making the changes that this app applies, to see if it will get OTG to work: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=org.tauruslabs.usbhostcheck

I haven't rooted mine yet, but I might now that it might be possible to enable OTG.
I gave up, and got a used "mint" LG V20 for cheap, which has OTG support built in. My LG G Stylo will be used by someone who has no idea what OTG is.
Besides "usb.host" to your permissions xml's, setprop "sys.usb.configfs=1" & "sys.usb.config=*" in dev options must be set right. Init.qcom.usb.rc told me what I needed to get mtp & adb working together.

Problem with my TL-WN722N V 1.10 on Nexus 5 6.0.1 plugged with OTG

Hello,
I have the 1.10 model of the TL-WN722N plugged in with a standard OTG adapter and it doesn't work.!
I installed Nethunter via the TWRP method by installing the image file in recovery mode, after unlocking the OEM via windows with adb.
I have version 6.0.1 of Android on Nexus 5 and I connect the key with a standard OTG adapter.
Currently I have done a lot of research and I can't figure out how to fix the problem.
I also try to install applications that manage and enable the OTG.
Here are screenshots of the commands I tried and with the version of my Android.
sorry i can't put an external link
The biggest problem is that the modules do not install, I have already tested some kernel and none install the modules so we get the problem cited above.
sorry i can't put an external link
I have spent whole days looking for a solution, looking at forum pages and I don't understand.
I managed to understand that there is a bone for the phone + the kernel and the full kali pack (tell me if I'm wrong).
But I don't know why the modules don't want to install.
The phone works very well in OTG.
I tested with several OTG cables and it works perfectly with a USB key.
I'm on Nexus 5 with original android 6.0.1 in marshmallow and I'm trying to connect a TL-WN722N 1.10 to the phone.
In short I hope you can help me because I am surpassing, I am completely neophyte but that fascinates me.
Sorry for the translation, I'm French.
Here is the name to my gitlab issue:
"Problem with my TL-WN722N V 1.10 on Nexus 5 6.0.1 plugged with OTG"
I tested the kernel that I was offered and it doesn't work.
Especially since I can't understand in what order I should install each file and if I should "reboot" between each "install".
Thank you for taking the time to read this block and I hope you can help me.
If any info is missing, tell me.
Thank you

You didn't mean the whole time the 6.1 factory image, or did you?
It was to 90 % over the thread of Lineage the talk.
Anyhow, anything which you got linked by the fellow user and me, were apart from the official image from Offensive's site, solely for Lineage meant.
Before I forget, here the newly build chroot, with all the new apps, wallpaper, boot animation from the nightlys:
https://mega.nz/#!9MZ3nAKJ!oQFguK9vltGN5TNjxcfZmQvM2xg3_EzNWTz5roBN-Hk
What do you not understand about the flash procedure in particular?
PS
As re4son wrote does the hammerhead kernel not install any modules.
I don't know what you flashed before though.
What did happen with Lineage+Opengapps+root+installer+kernel(or together, as my previous upload..?
I haven't the best experiences with Lineage, but it depends.
May I ask if you had time to take a look from the rom I linked you at the beginning?
It's the most reliable, although a bit outdated rom named NetHunter OS.

A miracle happened there and installing nethunteros-nethunter-hammerhead-cm-14.1-hammerhead and then kalifs-armhf-full.tar.xz for the chroot and it works well.
The only problem is that when I try to install packages:
E: unable to locate kali-linux nethunter package
E: unable to locate kali-linux package
E: unable to locate kali linux-all package
But other than that, everything works.
Victory.

No need to thank me.. I am glad, that you were able to get it to work finally, after that number of failed attempts..
I went with the NetHunterOS rom version, which I linked you in gitlab
https://build.nethunter.com/nethunt.../LOS-hammerhead-14.1-20170102-nethunteros.zip
SuperSU has already been integrated in this variation as well.
After you flash the obligatory OpenGapps version for the same Android version and architecture 7.1 [arm], you are basically good to go.
I prefer the package size 'pico' - but this goes after your personal liking.
In my experiences is it better to use the "older" kalifs filesizes and not the newer ones with ~ 1,3 GB -- it seems to break somehow the rom/kernel if you use the newer ones
https://build.nethunter.com/kalifs/kalifs-20171118/kalifs-armhf-full.tar.xz
I don't know if you can use the internal wifi chipset, as well as a external adapter for wireless pentesting with the version wich you choose, but this is possible with the one I linked yesterday and again above.
A problem is that
(sudo) apt-get (dist-)upgrade

and seemingly further package upgrades are breaking the rom.
Although theoretically should you be able to install stuff.
Did you try it over the terminal, or just the NetHunter.apk?
Best regards l
Thank you.

I don't understand why?

extract gamepad driver from android 4.2 and put into android 9 etc.

hello,
i was wondering if its possible, to put the driver from android 4.2 jelly bean into a newer android, in my case android 9.
i have a wireless controller with a wifi dongle, which doesnt work on my newer head unit with android 9. (why is that so?)
with an usb host controller app they are visible. but no controlls work.
well when i use "usb bt joystick" app i can create a driver but thats not the same. (cant get dpad to work)
with my old head unit, jelly bean 4.2, it works perfect.
controller are shenzen pc/ps3/android gamepads.
my idea was to extract the driver from jelly bean via adb ? maybe and then push the file to android 9. are they the same ?
since im a noob and im not into android development i dont have a clue. maybe one of you guys could help me.
thank you.
Simply copying over a driver isn't enough. The driver must get added to Android's kernel.
