Edited photos are saved separately :( - Xiaomi Redmi 6 Questions & Answers

After I edit a photo using the gallery app, the edited photo does not replace the old photo, but is saved as a new photo, the last photo taken in that day. Can I replace the old photo with the new one at the proper spot when it was taken?

Motion Panorama Conversion?

I took a couple of panoramic photos but didn't realize that the motion panorama setting was turned on. As such the file size for the photos were quite large (30-50mb). Is there any way to convert the photos to a non-motion one so the file size isn't so large?

Is there no option of "Save as image" or export ?
Can vaguely remember something like when I've done it
No options in the gallery app or in the file explorer I'm suing (Solid Explorer). The motion panorama photo is still in JPEG format.

Try to find the picture/movie from your camera: Start the camera, click on the tiny icon of the last picture you took and swipe until you find the correct one. In that you should see the Save photo option.

I've tried as instructed. The only options I see when I get to the picture is a "more" in the upper right of the screen (options include: rotate left, rotate right, details, slideshow, set as contact picture, set as wallpaper). And on the bottom of the screen the other options are auto adjust, share, edit, and delete.
Hmm... I guess there aer enough apps to remove exif information. Maybe those work to remove all extra info.

How to AUTOSAVE pictures to DATE_NAME? On Xperia XZ Premium?

Hello everyone!
Does anyone know how to flick a setting so that pictures are saved as year-month-day-time or _1 _2 instead of time e.g. 202106_12132753 or 202106_1 202106_2 etc (second is actually preference). Even if I have to download a new picture gallery that can override the default one, how would I do it? Maybe a google gallery app. The screenshots work like this, why can't the normal cemera images be like that!?
I hate how it becomes DCIM_X because when you transfer your files off to store on the computer. It resets the DCIM and you end up with conflicting names on the second/third/forth transfer this is a UX flaw.
Question 2) I also want to make it so everything is saved as .png instead of ,jpg - how?
