Huawei Mate 8 incompatible with Android Auto

Hi,
has anybody idea why is the top rated relatively new Huawei Mate 8 phone (runs Android Marshmallow) incompatible with the Android Auto app?
Google says on the troubleshooting pages:
My phone is incompatible
Some phones with Android Lollipop (5.0) and higher may be incompatible with Android Auto. If you see an "Incompatible phone" notification when opening the Android Auto app, your phone may not have enough memory or a video encoder that supports Android Auto.
The Mate 8 is a powerful phone: it is quite unlikely that there is an issue with the memory. Is there a workaround ? An apk file direct installation without Google Play did not work.
Thank you
Mike
Works fine on my phone. What model are you using? Have you rooted or flashed different region firmware?
Hi kunalmalviya ,
thank you for trying to help.
In the meantime I have found out that Google does not support the Android Auto app for all countries and my (Slovakia) is not listed unfortunately. So I do not know if there is an issue with the cellphone or the country.
I downloaded another apk files and manage to install them but none of them worked, i.e. I could not connect the phone with the car. I tried even the debug mode - I found on Youtube a video from Germany from someone who said that Huawei works only in debug mode.
Btw. I have a not rooted phone with original region FW, NXT-LO9, build NXT-L09C432B180, Android 6.0, EMUI 4.0.
Thank you
mike
I'm in the US and I am also seeing this phone is incompatible with Android Auto? I'm on L29C432B320
Do I need to flash to a different firmware?

P40 Pro (ELS-NX9 / C432) Compatible Firmware

Hi there, I have recently managed to get Google services installed on my ELS-NX9 (C432) and during my eagerness of updating to the most updated and compatible firmware (according to Firmware Finder) I updated the phone to the 10.1.0.182 (C432E8R4P1) version. I have to say the phone still works fine and have no issues whatsoever (apart from a few freezes when if using Google chrome which all I need to do is to go back to the home page and return to the app to unfreeze it. Annoying when it happens but not the end of the world).
With that being said, I have run safetynet and it shows a fail under cts profile match which leads me to think the firmware I've used is not 100% intended for my device (please correct me if I'm wrong).
Do you know which firmware is the most updated and 100% compatible firmware I should use for my device?
Thank you in advance.

after a i downgraded and waited a few minutes i got an OTA update to 10.1.0.176 and after that i got a OTA for 11.0.0.151 (C432E3R4P3)

Question Android Auto in CN version?

Just got my Oneplus 9 CN version. It seems the android auto won't work. I enabled all the permissions and auto launch. When I plug in the USB, it says "no installed apps work with this USB accessory".
Any clue how to fix it? Or I have to install the Global version firmware?
Many thanks
Never mind. Got the oxygen os flashed. Everything works flawless.

Google Dialer (old version)

Hi all
I'm trying to install an old version of the Google Dialer on my Galaxy S7 SM-G930F.
I had an old dialer version (roughly 4.x) installed. Then I reset the phone and updated it from build G930FXXU2ERE8 to G930FXXS8ETC3.
They are both Android 8.0.0 but different security patches.
Now, since the new build, I am unable to install any version of the dialer, also newer ones... It keeps giving me "App not installed".
Does this have something to do with the security patch level??
Thanks for the help!
Edit: The phone is not rooted. I'm downloading the APKs from apkmirror as I have in the past when it worked just fine.

Wear OS on Huawei P40 Pro?

Hey guys,
I'm using my Huawei P40 Pro for a while, now. Everything worked fine, I basically never needed GMS / Google or I could find good workarounds. Now, I've bought a Suunto 7 Smartwatch; their customer support told me it should be fine and working. But the "official" Wear OS app tells me my phone is not supported and I need to get a Chinese version. After installing said Chinese version, I can connect my phone to the watch, but right after connecting (when retrieving data from the phone), Wear OS (Chinese) tells me to install the "official" version from Google Play Store when being outside of China (which I obviously am; in Austria).
So, I've also tried to do a rollback / downgrade of EMUI (currently installed EMUI 12), but the "official" downgrade via HiSuite does not work, the option does not exist. I was hoping to use the Googlefier method, down on EMUI 10.
I've tried Gspace and microG, but nothing works.
Can you help me out?
I basically just need Wear OS working with my watch.
Thank you very much!
Model: ELS-NX9
