03 Oct 2016: Thanks to @sub77, there is a Nougat ROM available. Only Camera, BT, SDcard are "kaputt" (broken) atm.

Are there any tuts out there for upgrading from rooted 4.4.2 to Lollipop (or something newer than what I have)? I got my SM-T330NU last year and rooted it right away using Towelroot. I'd like to update the Android version and keep root. I know how to update using the Samsung firmware and Odin but I won't want to lose root. My apologies if this should be asked or redirected to a different thread. I'm pretty decent with managning the ROMS on my GS3 and GS4 but can't find a ton of info on the T330NU and I don't want to brick it.

You will lose root when you update, there's no way around that for right now. But then you can root lollipop using this thread

hello guys ! I have a galaxy tab 4 sm -t531,
*and unfortunately there is not even a mod rom that runs 3G. the roms are excelent and quick , great job, more no one works the 3G. . any tips ? I use lollipop 5.0.2 . I installed all roms this forum. no work 3g .

You badly look and badly read . 3g works in both 3g roms .

Since it's 5.1.1 you're probably going to have to modify the kernel in order to be able to root. Check out moonbutt74's work for the 8.0 models to see what I mean

So I am stuck in bootloop after attempting to flash update with twrp. I am on T230 and desperately need current firmware 502/ update 511 lollipop original firmware and ended in bootloop. Please assist me with this issue. Truly blows not having access to my tablet. Samsung Tab 4 7in SM-T230NU/ Wifi . thank you!!!

Lollipop has not yet been released for the SM-T230 or SM-T230NU. In order to fix your tablet, use one of the firmware files from this thread labelled for your particular model number and flash with Odin: http://forum.xda-developers.com/tab-4/general/links-stock-galaxy-tab-4-firmware-t3013128
Also please remove the quote of the entire OP. It's unnecessary and only serves to clutter up this otherwise useful thread

However, Samsung Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge won’t be getting the Pie update based on UI which is dissapointing. It is good to see Samsung releasing a timeline even for mid-range phones and hope it sticks to it.
If Note FE recieved Android P "check their forum, it will recieve it in other regions like Korea which have another list containing Note FE", porting P will be very easy. Lets hope it gets OneUI too
Smartphone less powerful are update to pie, it's not right this way for s7 edge.

I want to experiment with LineageOS, so I followed the advice of a forum member here and got myself a relatively cheap Samsung Galaxy A5.
I consulted https://download.lineageos.org/ to identify my phone, but there are two distinct entries for the Samsung Galaxy A5:
Galaxy A5 (2016) a5xelte
Galaxy A5 (2017) a5y17lte
I took a look in my phone's parameters (in French), and here's the only information I have :
Nom de l'appareil : ******** (Galaxy A5)
Numéro du modèle : SM-A500FU
Version Android : 6.0.1
Niveau correctif sécu. Android : 1 novembre 2016
So I wonder if my phone is an "a5xelte" or an "a5y17lte". And I'm not exactly sure what these two character strings mean.
