[F3115] Xperia XA Dead Boot/Hard Bricked (How to fix) - Sony Xperia XA Questions & Answers

Hello everyone! Recently, My phone is Xperia XA with a model F3115 running Nougat, I unlocked the bootloader and tried to follow this guide so that I could obtain root. Here's the link:
Click here to check the guide!
Suddenly, after I followed the step 6 which is to flash a boot_delivery.xml from a Marshmallow Firmware, It was successful according to flashtool, it said remove the usb but when I tried to connect the usb again, for fastboot mode, my computer doesn't recognize my phone anymore and I can't turn my phone into fastboot or flashboot mode, I can't turn on my device. I've searched guides on how to fix. I found a guide where you need to disassemble your phone and do like Box or something and I also found a guide by using this SP Flash Tool (I can't do it as my phone is unrecognizable by the pc thus, showing Unknown Device when connected). I'm kinda scared to open my phone and wished if I can just fix without doing hardware changes. Anyone knows how to fix? Like should I do the assembly or there are other ways? I'm looking forward for your answers everybody. Thanks!

this isnt an answer
The same thing happened to my Xperia XA1 Ultra like 2 weeks ago and I am so screwed lol. I'm not allowed to buy a new phone so now I have to use my J3 2016. Actually quite bummed about the whole thing cause my mum bought it as a birthday present and had to work really hard for it and now shes upset

[Resolved] [Q] Xperia Ray OTA Brick Problem

My phone bricked after OTA. I checked all tutorials but whenever i try to flash ftf files, flashtool is keeping to say open debugging.
Before trying flashtool i flashed it several times with wotanserver.
Please help me.
Did you try to repair it using PC Companion?
This will do a clean flash with a complete original Image.
Thanks for your help i fixed it with flashtool
USB Connection constantly up and down
Hi guys,
I made an OTA update to my xperia Ray ST18 because the guy that sold me the phone didn't warn me it has been unlocked. Now it's dead!
I'm really desperate.
I tried Sony Update Tool to try to flash the new ROM. It detects the phone and says it has flashed OK. Then I disconnect the cable and try to turn on the phone but it doesn't start.
The only response I get when I try to restart the phone is a short vibration but the phone still doesn't start.
I don't know if it's normal but when I put the phone to charge there's no light turning on. Is it normal?
I'm also trying to flash with Flashtool but the phone now keeps loosing USB connection.
Any tips would be highly appreciated.

Hi,
Normaly is Sony Ericsson Update Service (SEUS) the best Way
to repair your Phone.
If the Phone loos USB-Connection, check USB (ADB+SDK) Driver
or install new.
Maybe a other Way is "S1tool" it´s a small and crippled subset of SETOOL2 service tool.
Install it, all USB Driver inside.
Shut down your Virusprogram an startet it.
Press the Restore Button in S1
Bring Phone in Fastboot
(Loudness Button UP and USB Connect, you see blue Light on the Home Button)
Wait arround 5 Second..... Finsh
I had the same Problem about flash on my Ray.
The Phone was dead, only the Vibration works on started.
If i press the Start-Botton again, the Home-Botton-Light flash,
that´s was all.
New flashing with SEUS brought no success
S1 is also a good Tool for easy "unblock Bootloader in 10 Second"
And the CyanogenMod 7.20
(original update-cm-7.2.0-RC1-urushi-signed)
ist the best Firmware for the Ray.
Absolut fast, so overclocking ca do.
My Ray works with 1,6 GHz without Probs.
All what you need find it here:

FOR THE FUTURE, NO OTA UPDATE IF BOOTLOADER IS OPEN - THE FIRMWARE IS THEN BLOCKED FOR OTA
Greeting Onex1
Don't know if anyone can help me in my situation but I have a major problem arising from an OTA update too, my phone just refuses to read my SIM card. In fact, it doesn't even ask me for my PIN number, it just boots as normal but I have no connection to any network. I've tried using the SIM card in another phone and it works fine, therefore the problem is with the phone itself.
I'd recently had my phone network & bootloader unlocked by wotanserver using the test point method - because of this I thought the DRM keys would be fine (e.g. TrackId & Timescape still worked). However, when I was updating OTA my phone bricked!
So, I searched high and low for a solution and ended up using s1tool to restore the locked bootloader. Then I used flashtool to flash a stock ICS ftf file. It seemed to work (the phone rebooted) but it was then I noticed that the SIM card wasn't being recognised. Also, in the Flashtool log I noticed that a blue line was there saying 'this file is ignored simlock.ta'.
I've tried everything I can think of to fix this.. Hard resets, updating with Sony Update Service but nothing works. There's just so much conflicting info out there that I'm really confused at this stage. I have a perfectly good phone in that everything works bar the SIM and I'd hate to have to buy another one!
Any suggestions anyone or is my phone screwed for good? :/

[Completed] HELP!!! Unbrick Xperia S (bootloader problem no flashmode)

I have a Xperia S running cm 12.1 with unlocked bootloaders TWRP installed and i tried to partition my SD card [http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2584759] but clearly something went wrong and now the phone wont boot. I made a lot of research and tried everything but all the guides require to be able to boot into flashmode . My phone is dead the only sign of life is a red led when its charging which after some hours of charge will shut off. When the light is off and the phone connected on PC, the PC can recognize the device on unspecified devices (QHSUSB_DLOAD). i have installed all the needed drivers from Sony, google drivers from sdk, and adb drivers(adb wont see the device and i tried everything to do so, but nothing seem to work). I got a market for android on my pc called mobogenie that when i connect the phone it detects that a phone is connected but wont see what phone. The hardware reset buttons work but its useless in the current position. Concluding, the phone is bricked and wont open in fastboot-flashboot-bootloader-TWRP, its recognized as a device but not as "Xperia s" i got all the drivers and i want to flash the original firmware (already downloaded) to fix it. A possible problem is that the partition table is destroyed and after the flash it will hopefully be restored. The problem is not on the hardware but on software. I tried to trigger the download mode with the Samsung way (USB jig, 300k ohm ) but nothing happened as expected. Every solution i found required flash mode which is not accessible at the moment and i tried lots of things to go into fastboot(ever the rubber band trick, remove the battery etc). PLEASE help i dont know what to do, please help me flash it (i already got flashtool, Emma) or anohter solution. Thanks for the help in advance. (its my first thread in the forum, i hope to post it on the right section, i posted it here because i need the assistance of the developers i guess)
Hi,
You've asked in the correct section: http://forum.xda-developers.com/xperia-s/help/how-to-unbrick-xperia-s-lt26i-tried-t3265523/
so I'll close this thread.

Probably lost cause but hard bricked Z3 d6616

Somewhere along the lines of flashing Lollipop on my device, I must of clicked on something that I wasn't suppose and botched the install. Now its pretty much a 300$ paperweight. I can plug it in and it comes up with unknown device (device scripto failed) code 43. Already not a good sign. Take the battery out and plug it in and it comes as SEMC flash device. Doesn't help cause there's no tool out to deal with that for the Z3. Not that I'm aware of anyway. I'v been researching for about 3 days now and I'm about to buy a new one off amazon. I'm pretty sure its bricked permanently. But I figured it would hurt to get some input before I Buy a new one. It shows deviced connect, USB debugging off which doesn't help as that is not adb or fast boot, flashmode etc.
Correction: I must of clicked on exclude partition and that's probably why its all jacked up.
Its' pretty much a paperweight now lol
Soft brick
Have you tried reflashing it with a older version of flashtool or even a kitkat ftf.
I believe I saw a thread here somewhere the guided you though almost any kind of brick, I'm going to take a look if I can find it

[Q] New here and am stuck in bootloop...

So hello everybody, i've been scratching me head at this for a while now.
I have a sony xperia z whose micro-usb to usb port is broken and therefore my pc cannot recognize it.
Now, I am not sure if you've seen the phone but it comes with a secondary charger port kind of thing where it can charge through a dock, and thats what im using.
So i decided to root the phone using kingroot. I was following a guide that showed how to root any xperia device using kingroot and then replacing kingroot with superuser: http://forum.xda-developers.com/xper...b-ubl-t3123893
While updating the binaries it said installation failed and i tried looking at other guides. I stumbled upon this thread: https://androidmtk.com/replace-kinguser-with-supersu and followed it even after seeing the disclaimer thinking it would be alright. My dumbass thought everything would be fine and it was until it asked to reboot....
now i'm in a bootloop, with no way to connect it to my comp, and recovery mode not working for some reason (unless im doing it wrong, i dont know).
I believe the loop is a soft-brick (is that the term?) and it turns on shows the sony logo then says "powered by android" goes into the loading screen the stops, shuts off and repeats. I am on lollipop and desperately need help. I have a few school assignments due but can't get my mind off this lol.

Bricked my Xperia Xzs upon trying to downgrade OS

Hi everyone, im trying to downgrade my android to nougat and otw bricked the device. Im using flashtool to do this and the bad part is I forgot to turn on usb debug before. I tried using Xperia companion to fix this but and error came out saying "failure to get device info" kinda like. So is there any other way i can do this.
My phone is SOV35 au model with unlock bootloader not allowed but i flashed it to G8231 to unlock the sim. Any insight would really help on this. Thank you
First charge the phone.
Keep it switched off.
Here are the links
https://forum.xda-developers.com/xzs/how-to/oreo-xperia-xzs-g8232customized-ru1308-t3732394
There is a single sim.variant in he link too. Use Flashtool to flash these.
Start flashtool. Select appropriate firmware.
Click start flashing and then when it prompts.
Plug the cable in phone first and then pressing volume down plug it into PC. Wait until you see the green light in phone.
This should work.
