I used op3 before.
I want to install OOS or Custom ROM after full wipe (system, data, cache and.......... vendor..?) like op3.
But no one recommends this method.
why??

Welcome to the A/B world.
If you want to wipe through twrp just wipe data and cache.
Do not wipe system and vendor as it bricks your device because for the A/B implementation.

If you'd have searched the forums first before starting this thread, you'd have found plenty of answers.
The easiest solution though, is to install a custom recovery like for instance CWM recovery which can do it for you.

Or you can use 'system tuner' from google play.
Hi guys, I've decided to revert to EMUI 5 from lineage, due to essential features I need.
Can you tell me which steps I need to follow in order to come back to EMUI with twrp?
****************EDIT*********************
Is it possible to:
- Wipe System, Data, Cache, Dalvik Cache
- Format Data
- Doing the steps described here: http://www.stechguide.com/honor-8-b394-nougat-update/

Yes u can wipe all
For flashing zips first format data > type yes and after reboot again and do again format data and advance wipe wipe all
Now select the update_full_xxxx.zip first and then add more zips add update.zip and flash after that reboot to recovery your stock recovery will be appeared in that format factory once and clear cache ..
Done use the stock

Hi there,
so I just wanted to install Pixel Expierence, because i wanted something new after Lineage. After flashing the right Version with wiping cache, data, system and dalvic, the phone is starting in twrp again. When I tried restoring my full backup, it reboots to TWRP again. I tried installing many different custom roms but nothings happens.
I did have Magisk and some Xposed stuff to have Snapchat etc. .
Can somebody help?
You need to perform a data format even after using Lineage as it encrypts the file system. (this will erase everything from your phone so you need to make a backup)

You can use a remove forced encryption patch, or easier, just use orangefox recovery and remove forced encryption automatically. Then ofc you are not encrypted, but don't need to format data everytime when changing Rom.
Hi everybody!
I'm trying to wipe the system partition on my redmi note 9 pro to install a costum rom ( Pixel Experience).
However I'm just not able to do that because there just isn't the option: when I try to wipe all data there isn't the system partition.
I tried both with Twrp and Orange Fox.
the error I encounter is unable to update logical partition "/system_ext".
Do you know how to fix this? Fortunately my device still works, I managed not to brick it somehow. But I would really like to install the Pixel Experience
Thank you for your time, hope you'll respond soon!

for what purpose do you want to wipe this partition?? there is no need to do that.
What should I wipe in TWRP?
If you are switching ROMs (changing from one ROM to a completely different one) then you should perform a factory reset. A factory reset wipes data and cache...

No, you flash a complete image of /system and it doesn't matter if there is any data stored on it. Everything gets overwritten.

Yes, that's right. Just wipe /data when flashing a new ROM.
Hey guys
So recently I've been using arrow os 12 and decided to switch to pixel ui plus because its more appealing to me, thing is I noticed I can't clean flash the rom because the recovery won't let me wipe data and dalvik and I don't think dirty flash is recommended for a new custom rom
So can I decrypt the arrow os12? Or should I live with it
Edit: just realized format data decrypt everything
Sorry I am new to the custom rom stuff
