original battery is model HE323. This one spotted on chinese market is HE360 and has different elongated shape:

Since I've never opened my Essential, I'm not sure of the original battery size. I do remember seeing just the shorter version (HE323) in most videos. There's a seller who's selling HE360 on AliExpress as for the Essential, though.

according to ifixit
https://www.ifixit.com/Teardown/Essential+Phone+Teardown/96764
original battery is smaller and different shape, with code HE323.
So the elongated HE360 might be for new essential model. However that would be still small battery with<3200mah capacity. It means the form factor and screen probably would stay small ( thats good, i like the size ). I'm waiting patiently and using PH-1 since 2 years
There are 2 (possibly 3) dates on that - all of which pre-date the announcement that the PH-2 had been canceled.
Well, let's see what Rubin's mystery "announcement" later this year (next month?) is all about.

I use to own Palm version of Treo 750 couple of months ago. When I loved device functionality and form factor I couldn't stand it's pale, horrible screen. Couple of days ago I've came across Vodafone version. Asked guy at the store to turn it on just for jokes. To my surprise screen on that unit good as good as screen on HTC Trinity! I was sold! I really wonder if they silently start placing better screen in Treos. Anyone with similar experience?

This is old one
Your backlight was turned off. Just from looking at the screenshot you have, it looks like your backlight was set to very low.

It might. I don't remember condition that I took previous pictures in. But I am pretty sure that colors on the new unit are more vibrant with better contrast.
Hi,
I've been thinking a lott about an app and have been searching for something to fit my idea but I can't find it...
I hope that I post this idea in the right forum...
The "problem":
Often when i'm in a market i don't have a clue how many toiletpapersrolls i've got, how many fries there are in the freezer, how many shampoo there stands in my bathroom, etc..
Since i live alone it's easy to mark an banana less when I'm eating one, Note that i've one bottle shampoo less when it's empty, etc...
The idea:
A list with food/products/whatever it is that you want to organize and simply want an overview off.
I came with this idea since i bought an house over a year ago and from time to time i need to throw away food that's expired.
I know that there are a lott of shopping-list apps but not a clear one that show's what you've got in stock.
How it could look in my opinion:
A list with certain collums that you can sort: finch - product - catergory - date - notes - more?

I need to replace the display but there seem to be multiple models (regular, wide, type-2, etc.) and I'm not sure which mine is. Could anyone identify it by this photo I took ?
Thanks
I think I got it !!1
I've taken my LCD apart completely and it looks like this:
It looks exactly like this eBay item, right ?

This is the "regular" one, I guess. But I'm not 100% sure.
There's an earlier thread with photos that also deals with type of screens. Try finding it.

Thanks, but I already ordered it
If for some reason it doesn't fit I'll look for the thread you mentioned (if anyone has the link handy feel free to drop it here)
The HE346 battery of my Nokia 7 Plus aka TA-1046 only offered 2,800 of the original 3,800 mAh anymore, which is why I wanted to buy a new battery. 'Original' battery from AliExpress was so cheap that the loss is bearable. I then purchased the following model:
Cameron Sino X-Longer CS-NKT346SL
UPC 4894128173793
Result: 2,000 mAh instead of the advertised 3,700 mAh. Far worse than my 4 year old original candidate.
So, here's my question:
Is there a brand that you guys are known for providing high quality smartphone batteries for third parties?

After the device no longer showed stamina, ran hotter in operation and on top of that got dents after a few days, I put the weakened original battery back in and put the 'X-Longer' on the shelf.
Just looked in again. My experience with 'Cameron Sion' in pictures now says more than a thousand words.
Stay safe, guys.
Looks like Amazon don't sell original battery.. They have something called vhbw have you check that?
Ive got this really old Android 6 device that was marketed as a "phablet" (phone/tablet )made by Ewis. Its the size of an old tablet but is supposed to be a phone with front+back cameras and all the usual features. Ss atatched of specs. (hardware still in mint condition 6 years later)
Issue is i want to get some sort of rom for it as the default one is full of bugs right from the start and freezes even with nothing loaded or running. ( fresh after a factory reset )
I use it just for media and not bothered with any of the higher end features so any Android that is still app supported is ok. 7? It came with stock Android 6 and the company never released any updates at all. 2 years later they even went so far as to release another device with the exact same model number and higher specs.
Pic showing the device does exist and size comp next to my Huawei Y7pro

It was replaced by the manufacturer with - and there is no link to the old model anymore. Just some old facebook pics
If anyone knows of a generic rom i could try that would match these specs that would be awesome.
