Nubia redmagic nx609j LINEAGEOs Bring Up HELP - General Topics

This is about discussion of bringing NUBIA REDMAGIC NX609J LineageOS
TO MODS: I haven't pur this thread into device sepecific thread so that can get max attention from others, there are hardly any devs holding this device.
DEVICE Specific Thread XDA
this phone also supports GSI but there are bugs that PHH don't have time to solve. And lol TREBLE guys are done with this name also.
Well this device holds device tress of OMNI and it isn't that hard i guess to bring up the lineageOs to this device. I tried to make OMNI myself but laptop got burnt in the process. So right now without having knowledge of building any ROM, I am literally stuck in the middle.
google cloud and other ROM development things i can't use because i don't have a credit card. Due to LIMITED bandwidth i can't make mistakes and i heard that its difficult to make lineageOs from OMNI tress. Any Indian DEVELOPER willing to work onto this device i can offer donation also. I can't buy whole device but there are many available on quikr and other websites.

Hello all respected people there are lots of dev team who are develop most and most rom for devices but as a huawei user we are bounded with emui no future development for this device because of some issues the one major issues is that developers develop the rom which they've they need device to test and make sure that rom running fine we need to donate money or device to developers to having other custom rom like other devices have and huawei sir Ale and many more developers are try hard to keeping this device on the edge but as i say no major development for huawei without emui so please make a forum for donations which given to developers like Resurrection Remix,Lineage os and many other hard working teams if some buddy interested then make a forum for it I will donate first...

Zenfone 3 Laser , Rom Porting

Hi friends ,
I think , Rom porting from Moto G5 to Zenfone 3 Laser , it's possible and they are compatible phones. Snapdragon 430 and 1080p screen. Who can do it ? Or , do you know , how to make rom porting , i can try . Thanks. Please write your informations. (Sory my english)
Don't have the time to port it myself, nor do I have a spare daily driver to use in case anything goes wrong. There should be a ton of guides and resources on Youtube and Google, including Lineage's own wiki that they have on the LineageOS site. All you'd need are around 100 GBs of hard drive space, 8 GBs of RAM and an up-do-date Linux distro (like Ubuntu) with ADB and fastboot binaries installed.
Just know that it won't be as easy as some guides make it out to be, and it may be frustrating at times. Very frustrating. However, if you still feel up to the challenge, good luck and thanks for trying to contribute to the community.
Sorry I can't give links since I didn't hit 10 posts yet.

@xxMoon : Are tou actually working on porting a ROM on asus zenfone 3 Laser ?
If yes, which model name is it ?
I'm acutally trying to port lineageOS 14.1, but it's my first experience.
Maybe we should share our work.

[ROM] Omnirom 10 BETA [08/20/2020]

THIS THREAD IS UNDER CONSTRUCTION !!!! BUILD IS AVAILABLE FOR THOSE WHO ARE COMFORTABLE ! NO SUPPORT RIGHT NOW!!! CHECK LINEAGE THREAD FOR DIRECTIONS!!!
HI DARKO! / Marko Man
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
TEST RELEASE: Hey guys i killed two birts with one stone! i got omni going AND I FIXED THE FINGERPRINT SENSOR! for all custom roms. There is one downside though. as of this writing for fod to work a small "hack" is needed to fix the calibration status of the sensor (unlocking bootloader breask it) follow this gude:
https://forum.xda-developers.com/on...de-fix-persist-img-loss-finger-print-t4125909
I am working on LOS now. i have a working test build. just doing a clean one and uploading. I just wanted to get this out there...
NOW A WORD:
To the development community. WHAT HAPPENED TO YOU GUYS? Ive been a RD since 2013 myabe 2014, I left the scene in 2017. when I did everyone was more then willing to share info, help each other, look over logs for each other. Now i litterally got the cold sholder from everyone. They were rude, they put me down, they treated me honestly,,, like a total n00b who doesnt even know what the grep command does... Some even purposely withheld information they had to slow me down. What happened? its a shame to see. Open source is amazing and the backbone of it is sharing information. Look in the mirror guys. its disheartening.
Anyways on to the build. Please be aware omni is different from other roms out for our device in that it doesnt modifiy the vendor partition. Thus flashing after flashing ANY OTHER CUSTOM ROM will result in a bootloop. You must either manually flash vendor.img and odm.img from stock via fastbootd, or use the msm tool or some other method to get back to stock, take teh latest ota, then flash omni on top. Please be aware vendor.imgs from before 10.0.36 will result in non working fp sensor

Happy to see you back, I forget what phone it was now but I was around when you left. Happy to see you working on this phone as I'm debating getting one but need an active development community to make it worth it. I thought OnePlus was usually where a lot of the development is happening these days. I'm guessing most of it is at the regular 7 Pro instead of 7T pro.
no , its for both , its just this is a Carrier exclusive variant so the amount of people with it is far less then a global model. heres a little secret, a lot of the oneplus 7tpro stuff (like modded kernels etc) can be flashed onto our variant.
How can I download this

Hi,
Where should a noob begin if they want to make a ROM for the first time? What programs and languages are useful?
Much thanks in advance

[ROM][UNOFFICIAL] LineageOS 17.1 for OP 7t (hotdogb) [NOT WORKING ATM]

LineageOS is a free, community built, aftermarket firmware distribution of android, which is designed to increase performance and reliability over stock android for your device.
All the source code for LineageOS is available in the LineageOS Github repo. And if you would like to contribute to LineageOS, please visit LineageOS Wiki.
Disclaimer: This is the first time I post a ROM, and I'm not able to even test it myself at the moment. It may not even boot, kill your cat or make you lose your stimulus check. I'm putting it out here because there is no lineage OS for 7t (but there is for 7t pro). This is based on the device tree of the 7t pro, I know the pro ROM boots fine on regular 7t, but due to motorized camera setup on the pro, the camera is completely broken on regular. This is the (only) thing I was trying to solve.
ROM: <link removed as not working (yet)>

Update:
What works:
ROM boots
wifi works
Lineage Camera works!
audio/video playback
fingerprint
What doesn't work:
GSM/4G does not work, device crashes hard when you try to use the dialer
GCam crashes
So clearly this is pre-alpha and you should not flash it ;-). Will try to fix.

Tonight as work blocks downloads
Wow gotta try this out tonight
don't flash, it's not working. I've updated the OP. I'm rebuilding with muppets vendor blobs. Will report back (probably tomorrow as build takes hours and it's already late).

Thanks for the update
It booted but then powers off during setup (right past WIFI password). Seemed fast though
good
Sorry guys, I'm struggling with this. I guess I created this thread (way) too early.
Or it doesn't boot, or it boots, but no GSM and crashes quickly. I continue to learn, hopefully in another 100 attempts I'll have something usable . Are there any people here wanting to help out by testing (most probably broken ) builds? It's difficult for me to keep flashing my only phone (I need it to be working).
I'm now trying with 18.1. Lineage OS does not have a kernel or blobs tree for android 11 for sm8150, but yaap does. Maybe it's a stupid idea, but trying anyway

Moto E22 - LineageOS20 vs Lineage

I just bought a Motorola Moto E22 and want to install a custom ROM to get rid of google stuff.
It seems Lineage does not support this phone yet, but I found this LineageOS22 guide which I have no idea it is reliable or if it has anything to do with the official Lineage project.
Any clarification or suggestions for alternative privacy respecting ROMs that work on Moto E22 would be much appreciated.
First of all, don't do these before completing 1 year of buying. You will lose warranty for unlocking bootloader.
Second thing is, if any official rom is not supported, you can definitely use unofficial version from xda. Developers try their best to fix issues with unofficial roms. If you don’t know if it’s reliable or not, read the comments to learn about bugs, issues and positive sides.
Don't be afraid of trying roms built for your model. Because by chance if you don’t find the rom good, you can revert back to stock rom using rescue & smart assistant tool (official software from lenovo/moto)
And before getting started, take note of your model number. Also you have to install device info hw app & click on system there. There you have to find what is your device called in developments. The name will be written beside "device" title (not sure). For example, my moto e5 is called nora in development.
N.B. Dont use any unofficial rom from outside of xda!

Thanks for the quick response.
Privacy is a greater concern than warranty, so much so that I would have got the PinePhone if I could, but the best I can do is try to mitigate the damage made by stock android spyware and Motorola bloatware.
I'm more than willing to test unofficial roms, the problem is that there doesn't seem to be any available for my model here on xda, not even an official thread yet.
The LineageOS20 for Moto E22 link I found does seems a bit suspicious as there is nothing about it here on the forum.
