Hello,
After turning my TF700 for the first and realizing how much lagging it had, I wanted to root it to uninstall all the bloat ware.
All I could find on the net is that I need to downgrade to 10.6.1.14.08 first but all the posts were from 2013.
does anyone know is a new method to root 10.6.1.14.10 without downgrading?
Can I install Cyanogenmod on my unrooted / unlocked TF700?

If you are unlocked go ahead and install a ROM. Much easier. Rooting and deleting some bloatware won't do much.
Sbdags is right: Just uninstalling some bloatware won't do much for this device.
But to answer your question: You can root the 10.6.1.14.10 firmware with Kingo Android Root.

Thanks guys for both of your answers. Unlocking the ASUS voids my warranty, but just rooting it wont. If I root it with Kingo, my warranty will still be valid? Do i need to unlock it to install custom roms? Sorry if my answers are silly.
Thanks in advance!

You'll still have lags
Kingo worked fine for me, just an FYI. Still have bad lag though and I knew rooting would not fix it but I wanted root for stuff I do with XBMC. Sure wish......

Its either Note 4 or Note Edge.
It can't be both.
But Googling your Model #, you have the Note Edge.
First time I've heard of a SM-N915W8 variant.

I id that initially too but after a restock found I didn't need to flash cf-autoroot to get root, just latest twrp and then latest supersu.
Why potentially brick your device if you don't need to?

There is no root currently for the AT&T SM-N915A Galaxy Note Edge. Some are working on it with the Note 4 and its thought that when the Note 4 does eventually get root, then the process can be applied to the Note Edge.
Here is the thread for the Root Progress

Yep...
A lot of people have tried and found it works, not just me...
If you plan to root your phone try my way first,as long as bootloaders AREN'T locked then try CF-Autoroot if it doesn't work...
It doesn't do anything that you weren't going to do yourself(Knox will be triggered), except miss out on flashing cf-autoroot, getting an error message and having a heart attack before pulling out the battery and essentially doing what I suggested...

This still does not apply to the Verizon variant, correct?

The bootloader is locked and at this time, we do not have root. There are people working on getting root accomplished on the Note 4 (AT&T and VZW variants), that will work on the Note edge.

If it is the root method using the exploits that they are currently working on it should work as our device is vulnerable as well. However, if it is a different vulnerability that is exploited, it isn't guaranteed that the root method would work on the Edge.

Hello, not new to rooting at all. Just got an S6 build G920VVRU4BOK7 and apparently I can't find a way to root this device without tripping KNOX.
Can anyone point me to a thread or something where this has been discussed? (yes I searched and nothing came up)
I'm running 5.1.1
Thank you,
Cody

What phone currently available for Verizon network IS rootable?
Any of the Note variants?
Any Nexus model?
I don't mean it has to be purchased at Verizon just capable of running on the network.

The title and OP in this thread - http://forum.xda-developers.com/verizon-galaxy-s6/general/root-list-root-apps-t3106204 - reads as if rooting the phone is possible.
That said it doesn't detail how to root and none of the other threads seem to indicate it either. Last I checked rooting the S6 was not readily possible, especially if you care about not tripping Knox.

Yes, firmware versions OE2 and below can be rooted. The OP is talking about version G920VVRU4BOK7 which cannot be rooted. There is currently no rooting method available whether it trips KNOX or not.

No.
Verizon locks their bootloaders preventing us from flashing modified kernels. Plus twrp isn't available for Verizon Galaxy S6.

At the point your at if your okay with a custom rom do this. Install kingroot, it is known as bloatware but you will flash it after. Use flashify to flash twrp after that. Flash a custom rom like lineage and you can get the latest version of android and you can root that.
So I have a galaxy s6 original from att, I could never get it to root. I just switched over to tmobile, I have unlocked the phone and installed the newest update. Still will not root. What am I missing? What the hell is going on, there is no way I have the only unrootable s6. Side note spell check does not like "unrootable". Any help would be appreciated, Thanks in advance.
