I want to ask if I'm able to install this rom or 8.6.16 Global beta to my phone via three dots in the updater menu? It's with locked bootloader and currently I'm at Global 9.5.13.0

The first link with miui forum has the download link, it's just written 'here' with link.
I manage to update my redmi note 5 china miui 9.5 version by downloading (1800M) file and placed the file into sd-card. I clicked 'Choose update package' in the updater settings. I had not unlocked bootloader or doing anything to my device. I did apply for 'Enroll for beta testing program', so it might be the reason I was able to update it.

It's only for china version, not Global.

was it by using third party camera? Cuz' I don't have the option to choose fps using default camera.

This happens to me on Miui10 8.6.14, 8.6.16, 8.6.19 and 8.6.20
the only miui10 that I can flash is 8.6.7 and 8.6.12
I used TWRP 3.2.1-0, 3.2.1-2 and that latest redwolf recovery , all of them gave the same error.
Could anyone please help me? I really want to update.

Can I install this in Stable Indian version(9.5. oreo 8.1) with locked bootloader through updater app?

i downloaded 1.80gb link . updated through updater app on stable china 9.5 ( locked bootloader ) . everything work as expected .

Just download the zip and flash with twrp.

I've just installed this beta. As expected, there's no Spanish language but, so far, it runs really well. Facebook and Google News are fc'ing. Do you think I need a clean install?

No problems with dirty flash.

[GSI] Initial Patch

Ok, the Pixel Experience Plus 9.0 (GSI build) boots now (very fast) without problem. Some issues need to be fixed ! (fingerprint and sound)
Everything else is working : wifi, bluetooth, call, camera, etc ...

. download arm64 A/B build
. flash GSI-system.img with twrp

. reboot
DISCLAIMER
If you want to give a try, you must be on MIUI 10.3.6.0 Global (this is my working base) !
This is not a daily driver patch. Wait for a complete fix !

The same battery life, because the same kernel. Sound is fixed... the fingerprint issue still remains !

Cool. I will give a try as soon as you consider it enough stable to be a daily driver (caus it"s my mom's mi9 lite, I just bought it for her, and I want her to have a vanilla experience, as her previous phone was a nexus).

Probably will support if we add this lines in build prop, but I'm not sure will instagram and other apps work with Level_3 enabled. Since phone support camera2 api at full, there is good chance everything will work without problems with l_3 ?

no there is one in the zip but different so you can boot GSI builds. It's not like the stock one.

The Gapps in Havoc ROM you need to install later, if you want a rom with Gapps included the Evolution X that's what you're looking for.
