@xdatman u have mentioned required firmware as 9.5+. That comes in beta firmware category. But the link u have provided for firmware is 10.3.9 which is a stable firmware. Which one to flash?

If you can read properly I've mentioned will be up soon.
The reason is because all the builds are done on a (single) server so it takes time for each device to compile.
Wait for it.
Should be up in 10-12h.

for those wondering where is build ?
Here it is ,
Everyday they build from device code names A to Z.
Violet is V so will take little time.
Meanwhile you can watch each build being compiled here -
https://builds.lineageos.org/
Violet will be on page 3 or 4.
Enjoy , and don't forget to thank developer for his hard work.

Coming Thanks

It is Oreo rom, so it will definitely work
I'll try this out. Pie ROMs seem to be more battery hungry so I'll probably stick with Oreo for the meantime.
USSD code run for 3-4 seconds and disappears without anything shown on screen.
New LineageOS 15.1 Stable Update !
Code:
[CENTER]* Fixed headphones
* Improved sepolicy
* Deodexed for more speed
* Blinded power_profile.xml in order to improve battery life, charging speed and hardware values like brightness, gps etc...
* Fixed Signal meter[/CENTER]
Check OP for more info and downloads.
Quick notes about this: I am gonna update this rom every month with security patches and bugfixes as I still use this rom as daily driver on my prague because Pie is not perfect as Oreo. Regards

Because we use patches in Lineage sources for having everything stable and Lineage' s rules are to build with thier bot without patching anything, just:
* Sync rom source code
* Clone prague code
* Build the rom
I know it is like the thing. If it isn' t correct someone please correct me
For OTA I will learm something about, maybe I will be able to implement an own ota server

Man this rom is only for EMUI 8 or Android 8
Thanks for your prompt reply but...I anticipated that I was posing a very basic question. Provided that for a typo I wrote EMUI 7 instead of EMUI 8 does your answer mean "No, you can't roll back to EMUI 5 nor EMUI 8" or "Yes, you can roll back" ? In the latter case any short hint/suggestion about how to proceed ?

Hi!
Great work! Flashed here and almost everything is working fine!
The only problem I encountered is that the fingerprint isn't working. Do you know how to fix it?
Another thing is that the second rear camera won't work with default camera app, but it will with Asus Camera apk.
Thanks for the ROM!

Hi!
Great work! Flashed here and almost everything is working fine!
The only problem I encountered is that the fingerprint isn't working. Do you know how to fix it?
Another thing is that the second rear camera won't work with default camera app, but it will with Asus Camera apk.
Thanks for the ROM!

Thanks raza231198 and all the developers for this custom ROM. It works nicely for me, much better than the stock ROM in a lot of respects, thank you for all the work you put into this!
I have one issue though. When I connect to a PC through USB, I have trouble transferring files. When I connect the phone, and I tap the USB preferences setting, I get a screen where I see options for using USB for file transfer, MIDI, or no data transfer, but all the options are greyed out, and nothing happens when I tap on them. See screenshot:
https://photos.app.goo.gl/baRu9Y5D2pWEc3ok9
I wonder if I'm doing something wrong. I found a workaround which is that in the general settings, I can choose file transfer to be the default choice for any device that I connect to. However, that's not quite secure.
What are your thoughts?
I'm also happy to work as tester if you need more reports on anything.
Have a beautiful day!

Also, in case this is useful to people, I wrote up a step-by-step guide how to install this, basically starting from the phone as it is when it comes from store.

my phone is 8917 with 3 ghz ram, in the forum I read 2 models, 8917 2 ghz ram and 8937 3 ghz ram, is this the reason for the brick, after installation of lineageos?
is it a variant only for Italy?

Just gave it a go myself. Really happy with it so far, along with the latest NikGapps. Nothing to complain so far. The other way around, it seems to work better than the GSI lineage I was running before. Battery seems to last longer as well. Let's see how it goes in the longer run!

thanks but doesn't seem to work on my A40. Just throws 'error 4' from TWRP (or a number close to that from memory) and doesn't progress with any install.
Maybe Error 7 ? You're sure you took the right one ? This one work on my A40.

Oof, this is because official builds are signed with different keys. A clean flash is needed to switch builds. However, there is a migration script on the LineageOS Wiki that may help you with keeping /data. I haven't personally tried it as I always clean flash.
I would love to try but after my first failed attempt and troublesome recovery, i.d. start from scratch, I cannot afford to lose access to my banking apps and 2FA...
Using the LineageOS updater would allow an easier recovery by just reinstalling the previous version.

I get it. Unfortunately it's not that simple when switching between official -> unofficial/unofficial -> official builds.
I've gotten some feedback from users on Telegram, so we'll see. One users said it works for them, another said it only works for them on sim slot 2. So waiting for more feedback before I commit these changes officially.
Hey guys I tested the unofficial build and the VOLTE is working. At least with my carrier - Telenor BG. I had it working from the first try - just clean flashed the unofficial build and the VOLTE call went through. Maybe you guys can let us know when we can test the official image with the fix that is included from the unofficial build Thanks
Changes for VoLTE will be in the next official build. I apparently wasn't fast enough to get them in today's build
I'm wondering: I flashed the build from today via the updater and was very pleased when I saw that VoLTE was actually working. SIM slot 1, Vodafone Germany.
And now you say the actual change is not in this build? Then i wonder why it is working. Could it be the involuntary clean flash? Because I originally updated my 17.1 build to the 18.1 one.
PS: I also have the option to turn on/off VoLTE. It wasn't there before.
Hello, would it be possible to install LineageOS using another recovery (I have Pixel Experience recovery), or it is necessary to use the LineageOS recovery?
Thanks.

Assuming PE recovery allows you to sideload or flash a zip, you should be fine to use PE recovery. Lineage Recovery will replace it once booted. The recovery.img is there as an option so that there is a way to flash LineageOS without the need of being dependent on another recovery option.
Thanks alot.
I will install the LineageOS as soon as an Android 12 image will be available.
