Hello Everyone,
I was unable to find the translate function of Google Lens, does anyone know if that is hidden or just missing for the OnePlus 7pro build ?
This option is fully functional at 3t devices but nowhere seen on the latest flagship.
It is an excellent feature for real-time translation, very handy for trips abroad.
Thank you!
Yes. In camera mode point at the object your taking a octroyé off and then touch the screen for 3 sec. It will take the pic and look up the object your finger was on

That is the standard option for using Google Lens, but this will just check the object in internet for matches, it won't translate the content.
Translate function is real-life translator to languages google supports, it can do it directly while hovering the camera over a lable for example.
Unfortunately I can't post external video yet but I am sure you are capable of checking the feature over the internet.
Isn't that actually a feature in Google Translate?
You can do it from there...

Yes, you can do it via Google Translate, but this is a different app..
Pretty sure the outcome will be the same since they are both from Google, however the question is why other devices has the translate feature active in Lens and 7Pro doesnt ?

Looking nice, but no English, no deal. Just someone speaking chinese can use this app. I mean, yeah, you can test every button, but for good use, there has to be minimum English.

Ugh, look at those permissions. Read text messages, view running apps, record audio, control camera, create shortcuts, full network access. No thank you.
For me after downloading from Playstore it was still Chinese. And yes, those permissions look awful.
I like this :good:

They set primary language to chinise, every app they release. Apps have english but you must set your phone language to english. They must change the app default language to english but I don't think they will.
1st of all. Im not an Dev and an english speaking person. But I want to share an awesome App with the new cool speedreading technology "Spritz".
There is an GitHub Project called https://github.com/OnlyInAmerica/OpenSpritz-Android.
I've grabbed from GitHub the source an packed in an app.
So you can read EPUP with the spray idea.
The following features are included:
- Adjust the speed (WPM)
- Pause function
- forwqard backward rewind (with chapter)
- Invert mode
For opening of EPUP it is more practical to look for a file explorer out the book and then open the app. Within the app you can also open books.
Note: Long words will be displayed double-spaced.
Who wants to test the app can download the APK for Android here

Well I'd think you'd just load a Portuguese book right?
I guess there should not be any reason to use an foreign language. Should I?

This is awesome! Just tried it out, seems to work fairly well for an early build.
Few issues I encountered when I opened an epub:
- The WPM isn't consistent, seems to speed through a few words, then slow down, then speed up again.
- Sometimes multiple words are shown together.
- There were some meta data displayed, like font size, etc.
- Not sure if the chapter selection is working correctly
Some of this might be attributed to my epub file, I'd have to test it out with multiple files to get a better feel for it.
The only thing that is missing is syncing reading positions across devices, like through Gdrive. Once the issues above are resolved and the syncing is added, I can definitely see this being used as my main reader app!
But so far, solid start! :good:
The none consistent wpm isn't a bug, it's a feature
Yeah unfortunately long word's aren't divided.
The meta is in your epup. Just skip the 1st chapters.
Syncing is a really big deal.

Well the one time it actually let me download the download failed at like 150k. Please host elsewhere!
Edit: eventually got it by searching Google. Works well but I wish there was a better way to track where I'm at in the book. This speed reading thing is really cool and I'm excited to see this project progress!

How about you put it on a Google drive download. Uploaded does NOT play nice with mobile browsers.

Does this apk have the IAP garbage removed? I can't even use Glance, it just crashes without a Google account due to IAP. Would love to see this in F-Droid.
There is always something memorable in our life. MixNote is a simple and safe note app to help us do the record thing.
As its name says, MixNote can take note with many ways to mix all your notes in one app.

"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",

}
How to start?
Open MixNote, click “+” to create a note.
There are four icons at the bottom: camera, picture, to-do and voice. So you can add pictures by taking photo or from the gallery directly, create to-do list and record voice.
MixNote supports tags. Click the tag icon to add tags. These tags are shown in the left menu of the app. When you want to view all notes in the same catalog, just to find the tag, such as travel, recipes, diary, etc.
Talking about the diary, it’s a very private thing. If you don’t want other people to view a note, MixNote can help you lock and hide it. How to make it visible? Just shake you phone in the home page. As for the unlock method, if you want advanced protection, you can select password, pattern or fingerprint lock in the Settings of MixNote.
MixNote has a ToDo widget. You can add it in the home, so you can check the schedule without opening the app.
What’s more
There is a hidden feature with the “+”. That is you can start recording voice by long press it. When you want to start recording quickly, it will be very useful.
When you need to write a memo during a call, such as a phone number or meeting time, you can shake the phone to start recording your voice. No need to find pen and paper.
Did you by any chance forget to give a download link?

If you are looking for a note app with all record methods, MixNote is the perfect choice. MixNote supports text, to-do-list, picture and recording voice. And it is highly intuitive and beautifully designed.

When you have a work plan, click the to-do icon to write all things done and put it in Home for reminder. When you are too busy to type, then create a voice note. You can even type while recording voice.
Notes are generally cataloged by TODO, audio and picture. You can put a tag for each note according to your needs. Search by tag or keyword can help you find a note quickly.
MixNote has an amazing feature. It is recording voice when calling. With that, no more hurry to find pen and memo to write a message, just need to shake the phone when calling.
If you are concerned about your privacy, MixNote can also handle that. Lock and hide a note. For more security, there are password lock, pattern lock and fingerprint lock, provided by AppLock.
MixNote allows you to share notes by text or picture, so your ideas and thoughts can be shared to Facebook and Twitter .etc in any time.
With a current Play Store rating of 4.4 stars, it's the only note app you'll ever need. Try it out for yourself.

I must agree. Overall it is a very nice App and I am on the verge of switching from my current note-app
But there appear to be some performance issues on some phones. It works fine on my Xperia Z5, but on my GF's older Galaxy S4 mini it is a little slow. Maybe there is some optimization that can be done...
Thread closed as the OP is spamming the boards with his posts on this app

No discouragement intended, but most of the stuff you've written down is possible with Google Assistant; With the exception of adding numbers into the contacts (which is redundant anyway or not entirely useful at all).
So yeah, you're app in fact does try to resemble a voice-triggered assistant. Thing is, you can just call GA and ask it for the same stuff and it'll pop the results instead of first opening your app and then clicking on the specific tile to launch f.e. Google Search.
Again, no discouragement intended, but the app just doesn't seem to have actual productivity value in it.
People can always use the dedicated app for the required service and those usually have Voice Search.
Nice! Working!
