If, like me, spell checking is an absolute must and the lack of it when using the hardware keyboard is a massive issue, and then try this:
http://swiftkey.net/vip/viewtopic.php?f=25&t=1562
This is the beta for the tablet version of the SwiftKey software keyboard, it is split into two halves on both sides of the screen like other thumb keyboards, but not like others is when you dock your screen and start typing an email, it brings up a spell check and predictive text layer at the bottom of the screen. Genius, and they will sell a lot of copies when they get this to market.
It's a very pretty and very decent keyboard too, which is a bonus!
Enjoy and hit thanks if this is useful.

I'll check it out. thank you for sharing!
Everything I've looked at is telling me it is not compatible with my device, also the link you provided takes us to a sign-in page. Which I am utterly unable to find a VIP code for registration.
I would love a spellchecker for this little machine, as would everyone who has to read anything I write on it.

Hi everybody, TouchType Ltd. have decided to release their latest beta for the ever popular SwiftKey today for free
Seeing as the demand for the beta is hammering their servers, I decided to upload the .apk to my dropbox for everybody to enjoy. Just download and install like you would with any other app
Here's the file: http://db.tt/GHjXdQi7
FYI, this is a FREE, OPEN beta and therefore this is a FREE APP. I understand the rules of xda, and I do not condone or promote pirating in any way!

Thanks.
Keep in mind that this free beta is supposed to be available for swiftkey vip members only. You can register here http://vip.swiftkey.net/ Also note that beta software is just that, beta. The point of releasing a beta is to get feedback from users, which is why they want you to sign up in the vip to access it.
Google Keyboard not correcting "i" to "I" and HTC won't let you edit user dictionary?
Not sure about everyone, but HTC won't let me edit my user dictionary. This seemed to be a problem as Google Keyboard stopped capitalizing "i" for me. I ran into someone with the same problem on Reddit, so I went hunting for a solution. I found this app which primarily lets you import stuff to your user dictionary, like Swype and/or SwiftKey do. But, it also lets you edit the user dictionary. In mine I found the word "I" (uppercase, ironically) had been added to my dictionary. So I removed it, and now Google Keyboard does what it should.
I know where to edit the user dictionary in Settings, but Sense just kicks me back to the list of user dictionaries. I'm using ViperOne, not stock Sense, if that matters. Anyway, I solved my problem, and just wanted to pass on my solution to the community. Also, the app seems pretty cool. It will back up and sync your personal dictionary across devices. It's free to do all that, but a premium version lets it dig deeper in your social networks, and adds Whatsapp support (which I don't need). All for $1.35 USD. I'm not plugging it per se, but it (the free version) did help me.
The contest of android keyboard apps has always been intense: Swype specialized in gesture typing, Swiftkey using smart stats, kika for fonts and emojisā¦ Besides all these targeted features, Typany strives to achieve the fastest, smoothest and simplest typing experience. Typany Beta version is now released for free!!! Check it out!!!
We have first released our Beta version in March, 2016. We have already developed auto correct, word/emoji prediction, fast symbol input, nearly 200 themes, 25 languages, 30 sticker packs... And we are still constantly adding new features, languages and themes.
Since Typany has only done with the basics, features in our beta version may still need further improvements, and little bug may occur. Nevertheless, through our test ran last week, the new version Typany has already exceeded the () speed of the top keyboard apps! Try Typany, enjoy the speed and the simple typing experience, then comment us about your like/dislike features, languages you wanted, speed or bug info, or just like it or not! Thank you!
