rebrand to b158 in 2019 - Huawei Mate 9 Questions & Answers

The original region code of my device is b158. I converted to c432 two years ago. Now I want to switch to b158 again. but I have the latest version of oreo installed on my device. everything has changed and hwota is now outdated. How can I get my device back to region b158 without my device is bricked. My current version is 8.0.0.379

Can i rebrand mate 9 while on Oreo

Hello guys,
I have mate 9 C636 B362 oreo.
The problem is am now living in europe
Which makes my phone unable to get updates through default system update and very slow to updates to go through firmwarefinder
My question is can i rebrand the mate 9 while I am already on Oreo to c432
Thanks
it is workable on Funky Huawei, but the price is quite expensive.
i've sucked on engineer mode when I rebranded china oreo version to European version, i was sure i turned off the FRP function, but when i finished rebrading , the FRP changed to lock status. i searched lots of way on website but not workable.
the final solution is use Funky Huawei with paid, it is quite easy but need money
I had the same issue with my mate 9 C185 region on Oreo not getting it's in UK. I used hisuite to rollback to nougat. Connect to PC and run hisuite update. It tells you you are on latest firmware but tab asks if you want to install previous stable firmware. This fully resets phone back to nougat - so do a backup. Once on nougat you can rebrand to c432 using hwota method. You will need to get bootloader code from Huawei first. This worked for me anyway.

In regards to downgrading a rebranded mate 9

I was able to rebrand my mate 9 running android 8...at least I believe it's fully rebranded, after checking the version, vendor, country, etc.
Anyways long story short, I follwed the hwota8 guide, got stuck after flashing OEMinfo with phone lock and FRP lock under bootloader and the OEM unlocking was greyed out. This left me unable to continue with the hwota8 guide.
I used Firrmware Finder and was actually able to flash the newest firmware that matched the OEMinfo file, and after finishing, the OEM unlocking is no longer greyed out.
Now, I've connected my phone to hisuite but under upgrade I don't get any option to rollback to a stable build so can I use firmware Finder to rollback to android nougat? (as it says my imei is approved for installation).
Update: Firmware Finder worked to do the rollback and I'm now back to running Nougat.
Do you mind giving a little more detail. I'm on a MHA-L29 (C567) US version. Running oero 8.0.0.371. FRP Unlocked, Bootloader Locked. I'd like to rebrand to AL0, downgrade to 7.0 and then run dc-unlocker to get my bootloader code, then rebrand back to C567. as dc-unlocker won't work for oero (8.0). Probably not possible but any information or details on what you did to rebrand and downgrade would be helpful.

Rebranding my Honor 8

My phone says AL10 on the back but it came with FRD-L19 firmware which means it was rebranded by the reseller. Now, I'm stuck on L19C636B360 firmware, the B380 is pending but it outright bricks my phone everytime I update(I've tried everything). So my question is, if I rebrand my phone to AL10, will I get the latest updates? I heard the Chinese versions even got the Oreo update.
Will I face any significant issues with the AL10 firmware?

GPU Update?

It's November now, I'm wondering if the Mha-l29 will get the gpu turbo update or not. I was exited when they said the mate 9 was supported, but they didn't include all of the models?
huawei fake , nothing in Firmware Finder too
The Japanese version has it with the latest update. I have that version, but my device is not approved yet.
MHA-L29C636B377 here, I installed the update early through HWOTA but it seems to have been approved for the past few days now in FF. I didn't notice much difference in graphics performance to be honest. And there seems to be even more bloatware than before. I ended up going to OmniROM and graphics performance seems just as quick.
Just got updated to v380 and as far as changelog is concerned, GPU Turbo is included.
LOL, of course we in the USA will have to wait a couple months to get this one. I just got the 375/October update
yesterday.
Got mine. Via OTA. MHA-L29
And just zuuus said. Its just the same.
Im just hyped for pie because of better navigation (finger crossed).

Sorry, not sure did you already try Firmware Find and are the firmwares installable by DLOAD':
Huawei Firm Finder
Quickly, easily and freely find your Huawei phone's firmware. HiSuite Proxy's official integrated firmware finder.
www.firmfinder.ml
For the Phone Model, enter MHA-L29, Region c636 and scroll down to EMUI 8.0 firmwares.
E.g., to b378, as on the screenshot
Take the URL of the File List (e.g., open and Share the address, Copy to Clipboard), here it will be:
http://update.dbankcdn.com/download/data/pub_13/HWHOTA_hotaMigrate_900_9/13/v3/f2a0f38f024f49348c3e62f4b94008ef/full/filelist.xml
Replace filelist.xml by e.g. update.zip to download the file:
http://update.dbankcdn.com/download/data/pub_13/HWHOTA_hotaMigrate_900_9/13/v3/f2a0f38f024f49348c3e62f4b94008ef/full/update.zip
Similarly for the other two zip files:
http://update.dbankcdn.com/download/data/pub_13/HWHOTA_hotaMigrate_900_9/13/v3/f2a0f38f024f49348c3e62f4b94008ef/full/public/update_data_full_public.zip
and

Check the names and subpaths in the filelist.xml, e.g., this is also the ChangeLog:
http://update.dbankcdn.com/download/data/pub_13/HWHOTA_hotaMigrate_900_9/13/v3/f2a0f38f024f49348c3e62f4b94008ef/full/changelog.xml
Edit: I see now you asked for b377 (not b378) but it would be the same/similar
According to b377 ChangeLog, GPU Turbo comes with b377.
Be aware that it also means that Bootlader has been upgraded with the installation of b377.
Therefore, downgrading from b377 (or newer) to b376 (or older) would brick the phone

Upgrade Mate 9 (MHA-L29 C636 EMUI 5.0 Android 7.0)

I'm in the United States and need VoLTE to continue using this phone. I'm relatively new at doing this so please try to take that into account.
I've tried DLOAD method for 9.0.1.193 (C636E7R1P8T8) & 9.1.0.252 (C432E7R1P8T8). I got a message both times about the update not compatible with current firmware.
I'm guessing that I need to update to Android 8.0 before trying 9.0 but I'm not sure. I would appreciate specific instructions on how to upgrade this phone if it's possible.
My wife also has a Mate 9 MHA-L29. But it is a C567 and has Android 8.0. I haven't tried to upgrade her phone. But I need VoLTE capability for it too.
