I have an at&t LG G4 and I want to use it on MetroPCS. I'm not sure if it unlocked or not.
Is there a way to root the g4 first and then unlock it that way?

You cant root a phone to unlock it... just place a non att sim active or not in the phone. If it asks for an unlock code it means it's not unlocked

Here is the version I have and bootloader is unlocked.
Is there a root option yet, without following that super hard thread A and B partition and edl stuff?
If not, Im definitely selling this POS and going back to the LG V30.

I bought new motherboard from china for lgv50 koren version and it has unlocked bootloader.
Can somebody help to lock it, or root it with magisk, becouse i cant use google pay now.
