Then try the OEM bootloader unlock method and report back. If you successfully unlock bootloader via manufacturer method you will became famous among H810/H810PR users and forums.

TWRP is done. Rooting made me into bootloop. I ran into issues when trying to flash back stock(I flashed the wrong firmware). Could anyone upload the NON-HLOS.bin and fsg.mbn alone?

It is very simple.Just have to get the code from Motorola.I have successfully unlocked the bootloader and Installed TWRP recovery too.Has anyone tried flashing SuperSu on G4 plus.

Well it was because they had a faulty OTA 4.4.4 that when you upgraded from 4.4.2 it would hardbrick devices that unlocked their bootloader. Though I never told them that, just said that it just turned off during charging and after that it wouldn't turn on.

Actually they could easily if they wanted to even if my phone was dead, since when you request unlock code from Moto they void your warranty even if you didn't use it to unlock the bootloader which means that the service centre might be able to check if I requested an unlock code(some sort of database maybe? Idk) but they didn't so yeah pretty lucky.

It should be under the Verizon model. Usually tracfone does not lock the bootloaders on their variant. On another thread a guy flashed the verizon firmware to this model with no bricks and issue. but doing that WILL lock the bootloader. I hope he responds to my post. want to know to what extent it was flashed and if knox got tripped.

would you be able to show me the right direction to where he got the method to root his.? also if you learn anything else from him . can you let me know. so this mean I have an unlock bootloader? doesn't that mean I can root easier?

I should be able to get one of these mids august hopefully and will use it as a test device to see what bricks it and what hack can be done. In the past tracfone has release the SM-S975L(Tracfone Unlocked bootloader) which equals to an SGH-I337 (AT&T Locked bootloader), they released the S5 & S6 which equal to the SM-G900V and SM-G920V, both have Unlocked bootloaders. So i dnt think the S7 is any different and equals to the SM-G930V. Any root method that works for the SM-G930V should work on the SM-G930VL. But again this is just my say based on past experiences, i wont know until i get the phone and try all this. For what I know so far he was able to flash the complete verizon firmware which i think will flash a locked bootloader and no going back after it.
Yes will share my experiences.

So i was able to flash the full latest verizon firmware and fully ended up converting the phone to an SM-G930V. SO provided that you flash the firmware on which root was achieved for the SM-G930V, then there is really no stopping you from rooting this phone. As expected due to flashing the verizon firmware the phone has a locked bootloader now but root was achieved regardless.
Proceed at your own risk.

As Mr.mayb2 requested...here a rooted boot.img from the US Verizon LG Velvet.
Pulled the original boot.img directly from the kdz that was provided to me via

Please note that LG Velvet has 2 bootloader partitions. so be sure that you patch it to a/b.

Thats the thing where everything will stand and fall.
To unlock the bootloader you need an unlock-code from the vendor.
For the EU-Version i got that via mail from LG.
But i've no clue if LG does this for US too.
Does that come down to LG or to the carriers (Verizon, ATT, etc)?

Yes, but it only supports the EU variants as of now. Would the decision to not unlock US variants come down to an LG decision or the carriers not allowing it?
However, when I did try to use that tool I could only get my IMEI and not my device ID. It says "OK" when I enter my IMEI too so I'm wondering whether it would also accept my device ID and work anyway.
But, I'm having difficulties finding my device ID (or at least the full 64 character one they want). The ones I get from apps that pull it are only 16 character. The fastboot/bootloader method they give on that page doesn't work for me (to get the device ID). Possibly because rebooting to bootloader in ADB does nothing but reboot the phone. Rebooting to fastboot works but the commands don't work to get the device ID.
Do you know how to find the device ID otherwise?

@raiprasant62 it is VERY CRITICAL that you have the correct stock ROM variant for your model installed before relocking bootloader or it'll lock and give a corrupt device warning and fail to boot!!!!
The ONLY safe way to relock bootloader is to use Motorola Rescue and Smart Assistant tool and then boot into the ROM and then attempt relocking
Has anyone successfully relocked the phone and checked Widevine L1 status after relock?
I read somewhere here that once unlocked.. this phone can never get L1 back and is stuck on L3 forever. But I can't find where. I wonder if it's speculation or has anyone actually tried it?

is there a fully working TWRP build available for this device which can backup /data? if yes then backup your data -> relock the bootloader -> boot into system and see what will happen.
As far as I know, there's no working TWRP currently, but I will keep looking. I haven't seen anyone talk about using it.
I did find this, from here, but I haven't found anyone talk about the pros and cons or if it worked or not. My phone hasn't been unlocked yet, because I'm unsure if I will get L1 back if I ever relock it. If I unlock it, I'll test a few of the ROMS on here out and see what happens.

that's all I could find, too. but it's unclear if it's able to decrypt & backup /data.
I assume it would be possible to bring back L1 since it depends on your verified boot state. it's like the Play Store certification I think.

Yeah it seems so.
Like you said in post #5, it seems the most important thing is to make sure to have correct version of stock rom installed for correct model. Outside of that, it just seems there aren't many people relocking in order to confirm it. But it seems like it should work like with any other phones. I've seen other Motorola users (for other models) that it relocks fine. I'm not sure where it came from that this phone can't do that, maybe it was a misunderstanding.

Interesting. I've been outside the world of Android stuff for a few years and have been relearning everything, or some new things that have changed.
Is there a way to check the state of these things via an app or rooted file explorer or are this things inaccessible to us, in terms of modifying or viewing them?

I don't know how to check that but after relock I was able to use Google wallet without any hacks. Also unlock again was not a problem. Now I am on stock 13 ROM rooted. That works good for me.
