(Solved) Need help, Failed attempt at updating ROM. Possibly bricked - MTCD Android Head Units Q&A

I have a PX5, trying to update to the Witson ROM Android 9. My battery died while updating to the new ROM and now I am stuck with the picture is in my profile. if I keep the sd card in. If I take it out and tried to reboot with the long press or the reset button, it just stays blank. Please let me know if there is something I can do to fix this or my head unit is toast. I am unable to load the picture of the head unit here in the thread. Please see my profile. TIA.

I tried the power button, holding it for 15 to 20 sec to get it to recovery mode. I tried the reset button, reset button with the power button. I tried both with the SD card inserted and out of the GPS slot. I tried the sd card inserted and out in the sd card slot. I have turned the car off completely and let it off for a few hours then tried it all again. What other things can I try to do?

**Update** Just tried Hal9k Rom and still does the same thing.

I must not be searching for the right words or looking in the right place. I just tried new sd card, with the latest MCU and ROM form Dasaita. But still have the same issue.

[Q] WM8850 Device won't boot after coping files to internal SD card

I have a WM8850-MID device from China for 6 months. It runs very fast for a single core cortex A9 WM8850 and a super fast Mali400 GPU.
I run into problem when I copy some files into the internal SD card. I un-mount the card and shut down normally. Now it won't boot. It is stuck on the first stage of boot with the sparkling ice-cream sandwich. This step should take a few second and goes on to filling the ice-cream sandwich.
Booting into recovery with the power and volume + does not help. The recovery just reboot automatically but does not fix the boot looping problem.
Not sure copying files getting the disk too full preventing temporary files creation. Please help if anyone has a solution.
it boots up now but...
I found techknow forum has a wm8850 firmware. Out of desperation, I flashed it to my tablet. Now my tablet boots up but will not respond to any touch. The power button works. The volume button looks working, can't hear any sound. The gravity senor is 90 degree off. Where can I find the right firmware?
Please help
This is my tablet looks
It has no button. It has camera, power and volume on the top. On the side, mic, sd card, mini hdmi, mini usb and charging port from top down. Please help if you have my tablet.

I asked the seller and searching all over the web but no success.
I also asked other sellers currently selling it. They don't have stock firmware either.
Anyone has it please upload and share a link.
Thanks.

[Q] Stuck in Boot loop no recovery and no usb connection to pc

I recently decided to upgrade to 4.4.4 kit kat.
Really dont know a lot about phones, but I've been working with computers for so long I thought it would be easy.....Little did I know....
Basically I used CMW? to flash the rom after checking using a root checker that my phone was definitely rooted. After trying to flash the phone turned off, and is now stuck in a permanent loop from the lg logo to a little green robot. When I plug it into the computer the time between each loop isn't long enough to do anything with it, and the recovery menu just wont work !
I should say when I hold volume down and the power button all I get is a hard reset option, and even when I do it nothing changes.
I really dont know what to do to break the loop, Please help!
The phone is an LG optimus g pro f240...all this for a transparent information bar >.>

Whew. At least you have an sdcard slot, that gives us hope!
You'll need an sdcard adapter. Plug your sdcard into your PC, and write the appropriate ClockworkMod image for your device to the sdcard. Plug your sdcard back into your phone, and reboot, but ONLY use the power button, nothing else.
You should be successfully booted into CWM. Write back for more instructions if that works.
And don't forget to thank my posts if I helped!

Ok I checked cwm and I cant find a rom for my phone !
Pretty confused. I'd like to return to the stock mod is that possible?
What is the "stock mod"?
EDIT - Just found this site, it may be of use to you: Hard Reset LG Optimus G Pro f240.
I tried all that, nothing doing.
The original rom was kit kat 4.4.2 I think...maybe 4.4.1
Any chance they might work?
Going back to 4.4 would be the best idea in my opinion.
The question is how!
shouldn't there be some sort of management suite for LG? sony has pc companion, and last night i found myself in the exact same situation as you, and i was able to repair my phone, because i messed it up and it was boot-looping.

Yeah there is, but the boot loop is so short, a few seconds really, that I dont have time to do anything. The computer never registers is.
I tried everything I can think of....even with the sd card in nothing happens.....Just goes from the green robot trying to repair off then back to the lg logo then back to the green robot....sigh, is it possible to be perma boot looped?
I always read that when the phone is turning on there is hope. Looks really unlikely for me.

Galaxy tab keeps rebooting

Hi all,
I have an issue where my tablet keeps rebooting. Unfortunately it works for a few seconds and then reboots. I have some important files so a factory reset is not really an option... Can you please guide me to at least how I could recover the files?
Thanks in advance guys.

That is definitely the e-mmc problem. I have experienced the same thing and it required replacement..
your e-mmc is damaged, therefore your Rom reads the data but it cannot write into it, so it reboots itself.. you can no longer reset your tablet. .once factory reset is completed and it reboots.. all applications remain , within couple of seconds, it reboots all over and over..
Consider buying a new mainboard... replace and flash..
hope it helps..
boot into safe mode. it will allow you to recover your files and save them on a laptop.
you can search for how to boot into safe mode on google. i had a similar problem

safe mode won't work because the emmc chip is set to read only. so there is nothing you can to get you files back.

Yes I will write a guide soon. You loose fastboot after OTA, what I do is unpack OTA files and flash from fastboot without touching bootloader, then it's ok.

I have a Smartisan Nut3(aka u3) and have not been able to use it in months! Because unfortunately I can't bypass lockscreen, and recovery menu ( by holding vol dwn + power at startup) has no factory reset option! Only: reboot, reboot to bootloader ( Which only restarts phone to lockscreen), Apply update from ADB( tried using but USB debugging is lock I assume etc or I could be doing it incorrectly to bypass lockscreen or factory resetting it), apply update from SD card ( also tried but when I put card in I can't locate it. And when I go this menu without a SD in phone it still displays this long file list as if theirs a SD card in it. It always shows same files.), Wipe cache partition, shutdown.
And I've done all the YouTube methods to bypass lockscreen etc. I would love to get this phone working. It has become a constant ache, one of those little tech problems that's become to fully test me, beating me. Any help would be greatly appreciated thank you.

I vaguely remember reading something like that months ago but who knows if it will work on your HU. Anyway doesn't matter if you don't have brown wires what matters is whether the pins are there and connect to the MCU. I bet they are now it's a simple thing to tie them together and to a ground.
Have you tried holding 5 fingers on the screen and powering up? Keep holding the screen until the picture changes. Not even sure if the touchscreen still works at this point though.
More than likely you need to use a hardware recovery method. Marchnz has done a lot of work on this and if you didn't lookup the links in his sig here is the one that matters for you. If doing mods is not your thing you should consider taking him up on his offer.
Thank you guys, I'll try that.
