Need expert opinions and advice on which custom rom to choose - Samsung Galaxy S Duos 2

Am currently using LOS 14.1 but am not completely satisfied in terms of customisations (coming from rr.i love rr). However since rr takes up a lot if space and didn't receive the love it deserve .I have chose 3 options which should i take:
CrDroid
Aex
Aicp
In terms of pure customisations and performance which should i choose?I am willing to trade a little bit of performance for more customisability.

In my opinion AICP ROM is the best because crdroid aex have the same problems
The video does not work and
Wab view

This ROM is best in terms of performance and the space it uses but in not customization
It is based on the stock rom and the lollipop version of android
It is the lollipop extreme rom

[Completed] Top 5 Custom Roms for Galaxy Grand Duos i9082

Samsung, a top mobile selling company all around the world, who enrolled smartphones in mobile markets the way they should be. They brought power of Android based smart phone with affordability, and a huge range to select a perfect one based on needed specification, and according to budget. From low range to super high, we all see Samsung’s devices to be on top priority of all users because of their good build quality, and good after sale services.
One the most popular handset from Samsung is Galaxy Grand, it comes with few variants classified on basis of dual-core and quad-core processors. In this post we will talk about Samsung Galaxy Grand Duos i9082, in terms of specification, this handset is good enough to entertain you much, but you’re limited to customization, and many things just because you are on stock firmware which was given default on device when you had purchased it.
The only way unlock this customization is by flashing a custom Rom.
the best ROMs I have tried ARE:
1-CYANOGENMOD
this rom is a perfect rom that supports lollipop 5.1.1 in its latest version cm12.1
2- TOUCHWIZ REVOLUTION V9
Very light Rom, only 500 MB size. Mostly all unnecessary apps has been removed, but don’t worry, all necessary apps would be there. Apart from being light, it offers high performance. It has been loaded with performance script and pre-over clocked settings.
3-Blisspop
BlissPop is one of the most highly customizable roms that you can install on your mobile device,
BlissPop is CM12.1 based, with some features added in from various roms.
4-Resurrection Remix ®
Resurrection Remix ROM has been based on AOKP, CM, Omni, Slim, PA and original Remix ROM builds, creating an awesome combination of performance, customization, power and the most new features, brought directly to your device
5-LiquidSmooth
LiquidSmooth is an aftermarket firmware based on AOSP and SlimROM.

Recommendations for Custom ROM

This is my first time installing a custom ROM on my original Moto G and with so many to choose from I was wondering what your opinion is. The Overview of the ROM doesn't say much about speed/battery/CPU Usage etc. I'm looking for a ROM that's light on CPU and Battery as well as fast and customizable. I know CM is the most popular but I've heard it's not to good with battery life. Oh, and one more thing, Going with customizeability/features idea I would prefer Android 6. Any input would be greatly apreciated
P.S. Wouldn't mind kernel recommendations either, but I have a less than basic understanding of a kernel .
I would recommand ResurrectionRemix its based on 6.0.1 and has the april 2 security update and has OTA support its based on CM13 also but has so many tweaks and customization without loosing fluidity and smoothness im runnning it after testing multiple rom andits the one I<ll stay with until android 7... im getting 6h screen on time on a 12h uptime day (yesterday) it also offers the cm13 theme installer so pretty sick
Hello Mattwmaster58,
I am in the same situation - looking for a fast, stable(!) & bug-free rom with very good battery-performance.
I have testet many xda-roms for my old samsung-phone (S3 mini), and was surprised how much one differs from the others.
There is quite big list of number of Custom ROMs available for Moto G which might confuse users like us. Every single rom has some advantages and disadvantages.
For me it is important that the rom-thread provides a list of bugs and features, and also shows what changes were made (for instance: Omni-Rom).
I haven't shifted from Orion OS from 4 months give it a try buttery smooth and stable totally bug free if u don't use soft reboot that's IMO nothing big
Btw do tell if u find a better in terms of battery or performance or either
I have tested 15 ROMs for Moto G (Falcon) and below is my recommendation of ROMs :
- Omnirom : Stable and fluid.
- SlimSaber : Optimized version of Omnirom - fast smooth and stable, especially previous version. Good battery SoT.
- Exodus : rock solid stable.
- IDCrisis : stock based, stable

New to Flashing, i need help picking the perfect OS for my Moto G (2013)

Basically, what i said in the title, i have an old Moto G that i want to flash to see if i can improve some things about it. i hope you can redirect me to a good flashing guide and tell me which flash is the best, pros and cons of each... this world is kind of new to me.
Lineage OS 14.1 or Resurrection Remix
I recommend Lineage OS if smoothness and stability are your main priority. Ive been using it as my daily driver for 8 months and it is wonderfully smooth. Had Blisspop before L.OS which almost made me change phones cause it was laggy and unstable.
Have not personally used Resurrection Remix but a couple of friends who use it say it is as stable as lineage.,
Good luck selecting your first rom
Pros of Lineage OS
-Stable
-Fluid Smooth
-Frequent Updates and Patches
Cons of Lineage OS
-Very limited customization
-Not Pre-Rooted (though it barely takes a minute or so to root it)
-Battery backup is rather underwhelming

Samsung Galaxy A20* | OneUI 4 ?

Just checked the list of devices receiving the Android 12 update with OneUI 4 and our beloved Galaxy A20 is nowhere to be seen. Since the A20 already got 2 major updates the possibility of Samsung putting any effort to surprise users is very low.
Multiple security updates are yet to come but any OS updates is highly unlikely.
What are your thoughts? Which custom rom are you going to prefer if any?
Edit : OneUI 4.1 ROM is now available for A205X. OneUI 5.1 is in beta.
I noticed Eureka are releasing a lot of Android 12 ROMS lately. There's:
LighthouseOS
PixelPlusUI
crDroid
ProjectArcana
SuperiorOS
AospExtended
evolution
Arrow
I haven't installed any yet because I don't really want to move from OS 11 to 12 at this time.

I've been following Eureka Team on Telegram for quite some time now. Almost all the Android S ROMs are test builds. Some common features and settings are missing. Those who implemented the features are broken in many areas.
Android 12 has impressed me with it's performance so far. It's noticeably faster than any Android R ROMs I've used.
Fingers crossed, I have a lot of hope in Eureka.

What ROM are you running now? Is there one you would recommend?
I'm using the Stock ROM - June update. Basically removed the features considered useless, installed Eureka and called it a day. Tried hKtweaks but it just makes the phone unstable.
Project Sakura is what stayed on my phone for the longest time. UI might look less uniform at times but does the job.
Custom ROMs are a mere hobby for me. If A20 is your daily driver then I won't recommend using any custom rom at all. voLTE is broken in all all of them. But I still try every ROM that comes out.
-------------------------
Exceptions of voLTE bug are the modded OneUI ROMs, basically debloated stock ROMs which you could simply do by rooting, no need to waste data for just more broken features.

Out of loop for a while. How much do those custom ROM/Builds actually improve the performance and battery life?

I lost my iPhone recently, and OnePlus 7 Pro was my previous phone. It feels actually not bad coming back to this phone. Things are snappy and smooth.
I'm dissappointed tho that there's absolutely no update at all from Oneplus.
So right now I'm deciding rather to install a custom rom like this:
[ROM][OFFICIAL][guacamole][13] LineageOS 20
LineageOS is a free, community built, aftermarket firmware distribution of Android 13, which is designed to increase performance and reliability over stock Android for your device. LineageOS is based on the Android Open Source Project with extra...

or this:
[ROM][13.0][OnePlus 7 Pro][Official] Pixel Experience [AOSP]
PixelExperience for OnePlus 7 Pro [guacamole] What is this? Pixel Experience is an AOSP based ROM, with Google apps included and all Pixel goodies (launcher, wallpapers, icons, fonts, boot animation) Our mission is to offer the maximum possible...

really depends on how much it improves the battery or in fact how much it causes new issue? (back in "my day" custom ROM usually messed with GPS or camera..idk)
Can anyone please share your thoughts or tell me your before and after screen time?
Thank you!

Just do it! I tried out Lineage OS and it was it was faster and didn't use battery as quickly as the stock OS. LOS 20 also includes a new camera app and it is a significant improvement from prior ones. Worst case, you decide you don't like it and re-flash the stock ROM (I have done this before). By the way, welcome to XDA! Enjoy the forums, and let me know if you have any questions.

You mean what custom ROM? I chose Lineage OS 20. For your device it would be on the XDA thread you linked to above; here is the Lineage OS page for your device. Let me know if you have any more questions.
