Wondering if anyone out there has figured out a way to get Google weather on the lockscreen and ambient display same way you can on a pixel device. Maybe through a magisk module or something. I know I can go the route of a custom ROM, but I enjoy just how lightweight the stock ROM is. Anyone with any info please let me know thanks!!!

I'm running Fresh 2.1.2 with Live Wallpapers installed. I unlock my phone, and when the Weather Wallpaper runs, it force closes the Live Wallpaper and replaces it with the default one.
What I'm looking for is either a replacement clock that looks exactly like the original HTC one without the Weather Wallpaper, or some way to disable Weather Wallpaper so it doesn't FC the Live Wallpapers. (I've looked in the weather app itself, and I don't have the option to uncheck it. It just isn't there.)
Feel free to get technical with it. Just direct me, and I'll do it. I just don't know where to look to disable Weather Wallpaper, if there is a way.

im not sure what u mean about weather "wallpaper"..
also, Fresh 2.1.2 hasn't been supported for a long time now, so trying to find answers for it would be quite difficult... have u thought about updating your ROM to something newer??
lastly, not trying to be rude, just organized, but this should be in the Q&A section.. your more likely to get ur answers there sense people go in there specifically to ask and answer questions.. this is the themes and apps section, for posting new themes and apps.. most people look right over questions here, cause this isn't the section for it..

oh ok.. i wouldn't really consider that wallpaper.. wallpaper is normal referred to as your background image.. that would just be your weather app..
you could not use it and use something like beautiful widgets.. well worth it over the sense app.. im not running sense, but i also believe theres a way to disable it, something about weather animations need to be unticked... not quite sure..
but check out beautiful widgets or weather & toggle widget (both are paid apps, but well worth it)
Remove the clock/weather widget from your homescreen and then readd it. It will give you the option to disable fullscreen animations.

On a Razr Maxx HD rooted 4.1.1. Looking for a way to change wallpaper for lockscreen only. I want to use Gesture Lock as my lockscreen, but it doesn't have an option to change the wallpaper. Are there any other apps that will allow it, or is changing the lockscreen wallpaper something I could figure out how to make and flash myself?

I don't know if you have any interest in changing launchers, but MiHome Launcher lets you set separate home and lockscreen wallpapers. It's a very non-AOSP launcher though, so you have to want something different or else you might not be into it.
Thanks for the recommendation, I tried it. Unfortunately, it didn't allow for using a wallpaper on the lockscreen without using their locker, which means I can't use gesture lock. The launcher wasn't all that bad, though, I would have dealt with it.
Anyone know if there is a way to change the lockscreen by modifying the ROM with easy enough steps that I could follow as a noob? I don't mind tinkering, I just really want my lockscreen wallpaper!
Update: I was able to find a solution to the problem. I found an app called "Simple Image Wallpaper Pro". It allows for a different lock screen wallpaper. Problem solved!

I am a pretty much a noob to Andorid modding. I have had 3 Andorid phones in the past few years and rooted them all, but always did each one by following really good tutorials. However, I really need to be able to change my lockscreen wallpaper and use something like gesture lock over the wallpaper. From what I've read, it's possible to flash a custom lockscreen, and there are methods to change the wallpaper by utilizing something like a weather widget and changing the graphic. Is this something that I can do on a rooted Razr Maxx HD running 4.1.1? I am willing to do it the hard way, but I would need a reference to follow to know what to do. I really need to change my lockscreen wallpaper, any help on how to do it would be appreciated. Basically, I want to regain what I used to have with the CM7 lock screen. It was a gesture based unlock with a custom wallpaper. I will use the app "Gesture Locker" from Google Play for the gestures, I just need to know how I can change the wallpaper on the lockscreen. Just an update to let anyone who's interested know, you can change the lockscreen wallpaper with an app called "Simple Image Wallpaper Pro". Only the pro version allows the lock screen wallpaper to be changed, but there is a free version too. So, problem solved!

Im wondering if there are any workarounds to adding lock screen widgets to the stock android lollipop lock screen like we were able to in Kit Kat? I was hoping to use dashclock widget and notifications as i'm not happy with Android L layout....
Is there any apps that can do it if not able to in stock Android L?
Any help much appreciated. I'm looking for a minimal lock screen, ideally with the clock in the middle of the screen!

Nice work finding those but go and look in the app store was the first thing I thought of. Cant people think? XDA is not a "Hey google" of rooting. You put effort in trying to solve your problem and them reach out. You don't grab the phone and get someone else to do it

i suppose what you are saying is about..
Keeping Two different wallpapers for LOCKSCREEN and HOMESCREEN ( like lumia, Mi devices) isnt it??
IF yes, do one thing.. install a LOCKSCREEN from playstore.. give it notification access and device permissions so that it can work as your Default Lock screen, and Disable real lockscreen present on your phone..
if the lockscreen allows you to keep wallpaper, then keep it ..
