how to bypass daydream detection on Radeon relive - OnePlus 7 Pro Questions & Answers

hi so what im trying to do is use radeon relive without a daydream compatible phone (because my phone should be compatible with vr anyways I have the oneplus 7 pro) in other words is there anyway to bypass it detecting if u have a daydream compatible phone or not thanks for reading and any and all help will be apreciated

I'm not quite sure I understand your question correctly. Anyway, google daydream VR headset is working great with 7 pro. You'll need to install daydream enabler module v2.5 from SaveD . https://github.com/saved-j/Daydream-Enabler over magisk, and limit display to 60Hz.

So with the daydream enabler does that basically make the OnePlus 7 pro a compatible daydream device or at least trick it to think so? Because without that when u go into an app that needs a daydream compatible device it says that the device is not compatible and it doesn't let u use the app

It tricks Google play store and all apps it's Pixel XL. There's no functionality difference between how daydream software or hardware will work with 7 pro comparing to pixel XL. However, you should from time to time disable daydream enabler and restart (back in to 7 pro) otherwise you'll not receive OnePlus OS updates.

I tried it, but the app told me I need the Google VR Services in a newer version. The version on APKMirror was not enough.
But looks very promising

The official reason the Nexus 5X doesn't support Daydream is because of it's thermal limits. If it works unofficially just make sure it won't overheat in the headset.
just tried it. installed all the apk from apkmirror.com but got a message that my device is not compatible.
Does someone have any idea how to use the Daydream controller in Youtube Cardboard mode?
I'll do my best to help where I can. I have a daydream on order, should arrive in a few days. So far I have downloaded the app from apkmirror. Once I opened the app, it said I needed newest Google VR Services. So I also downloaded the latest version from apk-mirror. That allowed me to go ahead with the setup of the daydream app. When I go to press the button to go into VR mode, it FCs daydream. Too early totell what this may mean, I need to get my daydream VR headset and get it paired up and I can play some more. I'm noticing that even the Daydream compatible games on the play store I cannot install to my phone because the play store reports them as incompatible with the 5x.
I'm using Pixelrom v3.21, which is Nougat 7.1.1 DP1 based.
Got my headset yesterday after seeing the video but it doesn't really proof anything. After installing the apk, the app crashes when trying to enter the VR mode. It's not recognizing the headset via NFC and the controller doesn't work.
But I was able to install 3rd party VR apps and use them with the headset. After using it for an hour it got pretty hot, so you might want to give it a break after a while.
So in the end you have a comfortable cardboard without the controller and daydream app.
Tried it with stock 7.0.0 and developer beta 7.1.1.

I have tried reinstalling now, still no change in behavior.
So I finally got my Daydream viewer and remote from Google. The controller pairs with no issues. The headset has a built in NFC chip, so when you put your phone I to the headset, it must auto launch some program. However, when I put In The 5x, it just displays a message saying this phone is incompatible with the 5x. So I can't even use the nice headset with Google cardboard, unless I disable the NFC.
The daydream app instantly crashes when I hit the viewer icon so that doesn't work either. So ATM I cant do anything at all with the daydream viewer. I'm sure in time someone can reengineered the daydream app to work with other phones, or trick the app into thinking it is a Pixel, but ATM it's useless.
Oh well.
Im also getting the needs updates google vr services, last installed the versions uploaded to apkmirror november 21st (yesterday) although version number indicates it's November 19th build.
Tried uninstalling, deleting cache, restarting to no avail.... any help?!
have you tried modifiny your build.Prop to make it look like a pixel
and download some game (wonderland) from the playstore ?
does the controller also work ?

Did you use phone clone followed by chat partner all with device ID?
How can I add Google pack into this device? I used mate 30 promethod which was working perfectly with that device but in this device it won't work. It keep showing me message "this device isn’t Play Protect certified"

Hello, I also Have a Huawei Mate XS and yes, I tried to do the procedure with Chat partner APP and device ID registration, but it doesn't work. You still can't login to the play store and you receive constant google play service notifications. Unusable. I've also tried to use the procedure described in the answers to the video (using Chat partner after cloning my old Huawei P30pro) but no luck.
I resolved to use the phone without google services, using APK Pure and Aptoide for missing apps.
Still there are apps that I normally use that just don't work. So far:
- Tesla;
- Couple of games I play;
- Revolut;
- Netflix;
- Gmail;
- google maps works but you can't login to google.
All in all I'm still pretty satisfied with the phone and I'm waiting for a definitive workaround for google play store.
Google package
If you have solutions plz post it
Have you tried VMOS apk? As a limited alternative there is also an app called G-Whizz plus and Gapps browser as a temporary solution.

I'm trying to get used to using the device Sans Google. Trying to explore alternatives and see how to reduce Google life haha.

Question DJI Go 4 App not working....

I think it's more of an Android 13 thing. Anybody have their DJI Mavic drone working?
Yes, make sure you have the latest apk, older ones did not work. I am though using DJI Fly no problems with that app.
Edit:
I can confirm that the latest Go 4 is not working V4.3.52, just crashes on load, Fly did the same when google updated to android 13 on Pixel 6 Pro, but DJI provided a fix days later. I am not sure what the support is with DJI Go apps?
Edit Edit;
It is not Android 13, because I have just installed it on Pixel 4XL no problem, and opened it. So my guess is that Go 4 must be a 32bit app?

I appreciate that! However, it actually does run, but I only get about 1 frame every 5 seconds when viewing live video which also switches between black and white and color. Saw another post on the DJI forum with the same issue. Will just have to wait for some update or beta.... Thanks!
I don't know why but DJI Go 4 for Android 13 should be downloaded from DJI not from Play Store.

Doesn't it state the DJI Go 4 app will no longer support the Mavic series? I had to download DJI Fly app for my Mavic 2 Pro on my Oneplus 9 Pro and now the Pixel 7 Pro.
Yes so I asked the questions in the drone forum that I belong to and one of the users there tested this, and here is what he had to say. What is interesting to me this APK mirror one loads for me but the one downloaded directly from DJI Downloads does not.
APK Mirror suggests there is a 64 bit version.
(arm64-v8a + arm-v7a) (Android 5.0+)
Latest: 4.3.52 on September 8, 2022 GMT+0100
I haven't tried flying on my Pixel 7 Pro yet but the app itself loads and logs me in.
EDIT:- Its not all good news. Yes the app is 64 bit and yes it loads BUT the actual camera screen you get 1-2 seconds of video, then grey for 30 seconds, then 1-2 seconds of working video etc.
Telemetry, tap to focus and everything else works - you just cant see anything.
Tested the latest and older version of Go4 with same result.
Litchi works fine though.

I am the user that wrote that by the way

Its not an Android 13 issue as it works on my other A13 devices, just not my P7P.

Isn't the DJI Go 4 the only app that runs the Mavic 2? On they're website they only have that listed for that model.
I've installed the app but can't choose the drone, I can only choose the one's listed on the website. How did you do it?

Question Can't install Cambridge Audi Minx Xi (amplifier) app: Help needed!

Hi all. Busy installing all the apps I need on my just received p7p.
One of the most important ones is the app to manage my amplifier, a Cambridge Audio Minx Xi.
That app runs fine on my Note 20 Ultra with Android 13 but on the p7p I can't find the app anymore in the play store but I can see int in the play store on my Note 20.
So I extracted an apk on the Note and running it on the p7p gives the message 'you can't install the app on your device'
I checked the Cambridge Audo website and they refer to one of there other apps as the Minx Xi app is no longer maintained and supported. However, that app doesn't connect and refers back the the other app. I'm in a loop with that.
Does anybody have a clue on how to get this fixed?

This isn't specific to Android 13, but more the P7P specifically. Google decided to ship the device without 32bit app support. There is a magisk module in this forum that will bring back the ability to run 32bit apps. You will need to be rooted to use it. I haven't tried it, but it seems to work for others: https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/tutorial-magisk-enabling-32-bit-support-for-apps.4521029/unread
Ouch...
Was was hoping to postpone root for as while...
Thanks for the guidance, much appreciated!

Question How to enable VR, Daydream VR on S22 Ultra

was bored and was curious if anyone had been able to modify the existing Google VR apps to bypass the incompatibility check. thankfully someone has! so if you still have a Google DayDream VR headset you're in luck.
one oddly positive note is that the display perfectly is calibrated to work perfectly with the DayDream 2.0 viewer. I was concerned as with the larger screen, the S22 Ultra would be way out of calibration but that is not the case.
to note, when pairing your daydream Bluetooth controller, you'll run into an issue where the daydream app does not seem to know when pairing is completed. to address switch off your Bluetooth and after 5-10 seconds switch it back on. then the daydream app will confirm pairing is complete and you'll be good to go!
I saw this post a few days ago and I remembered it and thought about the time I got Daydream on incompatible devices even without root, I used a modified Google VR Services APK to bypass the compatability check and got it working on a Note 9 (why is the Note 9 not even supported in the first place it's literally the same as the S9). Anyway it worked pretty well you will just have to do a bit of sideloading to get some apps & games as the Daydream app can only show things that the Play Store deems "compatible". Just install the modified Google VR Services APK, a Daydream APK, and the Daydream Keyboard APK and just sideload most of your apps.
If you want to get your paid apps, use an app called zBackup, it allows you to backup apps as an APK and include it's OBB. Download zBackup on your old Pixel and on your new Pixel. Then backup your paid apps and their OBBs. Then copy the ZIPs and APKs zBackup backed up and restore them on your new Pixel.
