Magisk viper 2.7 is working for me. Install drivers twice. Or you can try xXx rom. Also magisk.

Welcome. Enjoy.
Viper4Android messes up the phone app. The screen flashes several times when I receive a phone call when the phone is locked. Any insights ?
Thanks
Is it working for you guys with or without the permanent notification? I doesn't work properly when the notification dot is disabled, i.e. noticable sound lag when skipping tracks and such or it doesn't work at all.
Any solutions for this maybe? The legacy one 4.4 ( or 2.5.0.5) always worked fine but not anymore unfortunately
Hey all,
I found this article that walks you through how to enable RCS Messaging as a work around. You'll need Messages 5.2 (just sign up for the beta on the Play Store) and then you'll need to install Carrier Services and enable all permissions (if it's not already installed). Reboot your phone, then follow the following article.
https://9to5google.com/2019/10/26/enable-rcs-android-messages/amp/
I'm not sure if posting the article is allowed, but I wanted to issue credit where it's due.
https://www.xda-developers.com/enable-rcs-google-messages-any-carrier/
As well...
I've been trying to get this to work on my OnePlus 6 on T-Mobile, but it won't work for me.

Yeah I don't even have the chat features option in my messaging app haha. I have read it has something to do with the dual SIM future, and the only reason why the OnePlus 6T gets RCS is because the second son is disabled through software stock. Maybe custom rom is better also?

It's working in India irrespective of Carrier now :

Not work.
How to fix.
Hi everyone,
Can someone see if OP 8T works with JOnePlus tools from the play store, you don't need root but you will need to use adb to give the tool to allow call recording.
Thanks in advance for your response.
It works with and without root. Confirmed
Working here with root. The magisk methods didn't work for me but this app enables it as long as the dialer is a system app.

Not sure. But I think it works on 11.0.4.5 but not on previous version. I couldn't even find the recorder app before updating to 11.0.4.5

I have the T-Mobile phone with the stock ROM, and yes it definitely works...you just have to enable stuff with ADB commands without root. I used the initial command it prompts you with, then I also used the command to "Disable OnePlus Analytics". I also have can recording working (because we have the OnePlus dialer with T-Mobile). I can of course force 120hz as well. There are still going to be one or two options you'd need root for, however.

I also meant to mention, since I have the T-Mobile phone and therefore have the OnePlus Dialer app (instead of the Google Phone app the rest of the world got), using jOnePlus Tools I have can recording enabled...working perfectly, without issue.

If you have root and the Google phone version, the magisk module skvalex works well if you need something.

Not for me, tried with adb, no rooting, the joneplus tools display the recording option but when dialing the recording button no there.
op8t K05AA, Google dialer.
If you want to record your phone calls you do not need joneplus tools, Just use the True Phone app. You do not need root for this.

Truephone and skvalex works together with root. IDK if they work without together without root. BUT I can confirm jonetools and OP dialer works without root using adb commands
I have used both truephone and joneplus tools without root but now I use truephone and it works flawless.

You need to put it as a system app for it to work.
Here's a guide but you'll need Root https://forum.xda-developers.com/oneplus-8t/how-to/how-to-oneplus-dialer-call-recording-t4189165

wow So I bought the Oneplus 8T US unlocked, thinking that joneplus tools would work for call record but turn out "it does not work because" because the US unlocked model KB2005 OP 8T version has the Google dialer and for Joneplus tools to work you need the oneplus dialer.
I tried TruePhone and some time it does not record the person calling me. It only record both sides of the conversation if I take the call in speaker phone. :silly:
So it looks like my only solution is to root so I can make the oneplus dialer a system app. I have not rooted rooted a phone in about 7 + years.
If I do root, am I correct in assuming that I will not get the latest security and system updates from oneplus anymore?
Unrelated side note, I am happy to find out that my dual sim setup gives me 5G on the TMobile Sim but when I switch to the verizon sim the phone becomes 4g. I returned the pixel 5 because dual sim dropped to 4G and it does not allow separate ring tones even in dual sim setup, weird. But im happy now with the OP 8T. :good:
Hi everyone
this is a mod for the centered clock of the oneplus 9, I am on the OxygenOS 11.2.9.9 LE25DA, but it should work on the oneplus 9Pro in case someone can do the test.

This is to enable call screening for the 9 series on oos. Thanks to retryfail. Flash this also through magisk. Clear data and force close dialer and playstore. Open dialer and activate call screen in settings. Works like a charm. Changes it natively doesn't mess with pixel props. !!
Works as the op states on op9 global. LE2115. Flashed through magisk. No issues
Thank you for this.

I noticed the other day when trying to playback a recording I was having the same 'blank / silent' recordings as others have mentioned. I just installed the alpha 2 right over 3.5.2 on my Pixel 7 (regular, not Pro) with the Feb 2023 update and Magisk 25.2 and Call Recorder is working fine again! Yay!
I too had to use the Alfa version the February update on a pixel 7 pro to get call recorder working again.
