boot-loop with very low battery - Sony XA2 Ultra Questions & Answers

Hi!
I hope (VERY MUCH) that I must not through away my new bought XA2 ultra, after trying to install lineageOS just following the tutorial on the official page!
I activated the USB-debuging
opened the bootloader
seted the phone to the fastboot mode
booted the TWRP
formated, wiped everything
installed the LineageOS 16 (first time in sideload way, second time directly install on the sd card)
then i recognized, that there is no possibility for wlan (it could not be turned on, MAC-Adress was just something like 02:00:00 ...)
tried then the official SU-app (so installed it over TWRP on the sd card)
after that device hanged while booting (showing the circle, going on the line)
i formated everything, wiped in TWRP
installed just the lineageOS 16
now i have another problem:
the battery live is at the last red bar
if i let the device powering on the USB it starts after a while on itself and boot to the system
then its crashes to blackscreen (with red dot on)
after a while it starts again... and so on.
so i enter the system and then it crashes after some time.
i don't really understand, if the device is charging, while its in the system
the same issue was, as i was in the TWRP, it crashes while installing if i'm not quick enough.
if i let the device just lying on the table, it doesn't start by itself, but it also can not charge the battery.
Don't understand the problem and hope very much, that the new bought thing must not end up in the trash. :crying:
regards
layla
#Edit:
i read everywhere about wiping cache, but i saw and see not possiblity, because there is no option with "cache". I have davlik/art cache, system and data (by the way, it sais, that it can not find the data folder), but i have no folder option with "cache".

The problem seems to be in the missing possibility for the phone to charge.
It seem, that it was possible to charge it over the fastboot mode, but the charge notification sign shows just always 50%.
For now it doesn't crashes, i think until the battery is very low again.
So the actual problem seems to be the problem with charging (i tested the direct connection with the wall socket, with different cable AND laptop USB connection) and the problem with Wifi.
If I connect it just to the socket in the wall, it shows me no connection at all. If I connect it to PC, it shows me a connection, but it don't charge (just if I turn it off and put it to fastboot mode)

after flashing older firmware (oreo) 50.1.A.4.76_R1A and installing LOS 16 again, the issue with wifi and battery stays. So i can not charge the battery in the OS (just in fastboot mode) and i can not activate wifi.
The solution here: https://forum.xda-developers.com/android/general/fix-wifi-connecting-mac-address-t3891628 doesn't work for me, because i can not find any persist.img file in the firmware folder.
some ideas?

this firmware fixes the battery problem: H4213_Commercial and Journalists_1313-9995_50.1.A.5.59_R1A
but the wifi problem stays.

very easy solution for the wifi problem!
Just start the original Android (oreo) BEVORE installing the LineageOS, activate wifi there and THEN restart to TWRP, format, wipe and install the LOS. Then everything works well!

Phone won't turn on after cm-13.0-20151201-NIGHTLY-bacon.

I just downloaded and installed it and now my phone just resets back and again, i can't seem to turn it on. Tried installing the patch a few times, tried wiping catche, still the same bug, i reboot, the phone loads, suddenly there s a vib, screen goes black, then to android opo logo and to android logo, then it does the same thing again, constantly. I have no other patch to install (recently wiped them all because of lack of space, such thing has never happened to me before, but i should have left at least one =(( and i can't copy it to disc from my computer because i have no access while it's off on in recovery. I'm in deep **** now, that was like the worst moment ever for my phone to break down. Please HELP.
Did you took backup of yout last ROM ? .. If yes then flash it in recovery. If NO then use USBOTG .. Download 12.1 rom and copy it to pendrive from computer and connect to Phone and flash rom by selecting USB-OTG

cant i try flashing 6.0 gaps via fastboot mode? if yes what is the command
Can you boot into recovery mode if you press the power and vol down button at the same time? If you can you'll be able to see your phone through your computer.

Phone won't turn on / boot / recovery 90% of the time - memory dead?

So I was on my way back from vacation yesterday, I had made a phone call a few minutes prior, and I noticed my screen wasn't coming on ....
Tried holding the power button - nothing.
Tried charging - nothing.
Tried every combo I could find on google, held them for minutes - nothing.
Let it charge for an hour or so - nothing.
Then randomly it started allowing me to get to the "Google" splash screen, then the screen would go black and become unresponsive again.
It's gotten a little better, but it is extremely random, sometimes I can get into recovery (TWRP), sometimes I can get the phone to charge, and sometimes it will do nothing at all.
After getting into recovery a few times, I noticed that my SD card was wiped (only a TWRP folder remains) and it wasn't a few minutes before that - I did not wipe it.
It will not boot, and trying to mount via USB doesn't work - it doesn't allow me to copy any files to try and re-flash the OS (stock rooted 6.0.1 with elemental x).
Tried ADB push with no luck, it says file system is read-only.
I can un-toggle System / Data etc in TWRP to unmount them, but clicking to mount them does nothing, the box remains unchecked, and trying to do other things, such as start adb sideload, results in a buttload of mount /system errors......
Battery is full (when I can get the phone to charge) and is a new OEM battery.
Tried charging, not charging, and plugged into a USB port on my PC...
I'm out of ideas here.... does this sound like the internal memory is shot? Does anyone have any ideas on how I can revive my lil' buddy???
Thanks in advance for the help!
-Austin
Update: Now it won't even boot to recovery.... I select recovery and the screen goes black...
I think your eMMC is corrupt. I don't know any way to solve this issue.
Looks like you have to get a new motherboard.

Troubleshooting Z5 Stuck in Limbo After Bad Flash TWRP

I've had a problem with my phone since flashing Lineage and Gapps in TWRP, something went wrong, it's acting like I have a corrupted version of Lineage with only the basic functions, Gapps is not installed and I've lost root.
The phone is an Xperia Z5, prior to flashing Lineage zip I had successfully rooted the phone, i flashed Lineage and then Gapps, an error appeared saying Gapps had not installed (possibly because it was the wrong version). After that the phone went into a bootloop (Sony logo, battery icon, then restart with red light in the corner). I was able to turn the phone on by holding down the power button for 5 seconds and lineage started up as normal with just the basic apps, I have been using the phone for the last month like this unable to find an answer on the forum. If I was able to connect the phone to PC i could use flashtool to flash the stock rom and start from scratch, but it only charges even though i have usb set to MTP in developer options, it's not detected by PC no matter how many cables I try. Also, it will not install apps from the Play website, it downloads and says app is installed but app isn't shown in list of apps. Can't get into TWRP because it says device is not rooted. When I switch phone off it restarts again and goes into bootloop, have to hold down power button to start it up. I wondered if anyone was familiar with these strange symptoms and knew if there was any way out? My phones stuck in limbo until I can find a way of doing a hard reset but without being able to get into TWRP or connect phone to PC I'm stuck.

Phone stuck at oneplus logo and only fastboot is working (FIXED)

Hello, so i was using my phone last night browsing instagram, when all of a sudden it froze and restarted(happened to me from time to time), so i thought it will bootloop for a few times and it will boot up just fine. But no. It got stuck there and i could access recovery only when my phone has been off for 10 minutes, and fastboot was accessible at will. I accessed recovery a few times, and i tried:
Wiping cache and delvik cache - No luck
Let it charge into recovery to 100% overnight and try flashing in the morning
Wiping data - no luck
Re-flashing sultan rom - no luck, phone just freezes halfway into installation and restarts
Since i can only access fastboot, i tried some fastboot commands, but nothing serious(like flashing, formatting, wiping...), and cmd shows that they were successfully executed, but nothing happens with phone ("fastboot reboot" cmd)
Removing sim card - no luck (but i am desperate)
Usually when reboots happen, i can plug it in a charger, and it will power on with battery charging animation, but not these times, it just reboots at oneplus logo
On one occasion it got past the oneplus logo, and showed a small blue cyanogen circle, but it froze there as well.
I did not try sideloading, and nothing with adb, since i am not experienced in those fields
I had similar thing happen to me the night before, but it eventually turned on and i could use it whole day without reboots
Also it seems to have happened both times while battery was at around 15%
I live in a small city in Serbia where there are no professional who know these kinds of phones, so i can't take it to repair shop.
EDIT: I can enter sideload if that matters, and my pc seems to detect it, because i can hear windows chime
EDIT 2: i can no longer enter recovery, it just wont enter there anymore
Tried flashing twrp via fastboot but i get (command write failed too many links) error
I tried some repair shops they said it's the motherboard, so is it really dead, because i still have oneplus logo
Any suggestions?
MY FIX
I connected my phone to friends laptop and flashed stock cyanogen os 6.0.1, fastboot worked like charm and phone booted up just fine

Galaxy S7 got stuck before boot. Need I to wait for the battery to die?

Hi, it is an older device so you might have experienced everything possible.. so,
After a long time of trying to fix that phones mind, I wiped everything avaible in TWRP
multiple times(got mad). Last thing was data.
That way I went from a bootloop to an active nothing.
Phone does not react to any command, it does not react to USB charging or on PC.
That's the case a few months back, the phone halfway in the trash and I bought
myself a iphone (hate it).
I put the Galaxy S7 on a charger today and it starts immediatly in to TWRP.
From there I tried to install a ROM that's left on the SD card, which forced
a restart into TWRP. Into download mode I managed to install the stock Oreo ROM via Odin.
It went through like a charme, all green. PASS!
The phones screen is black and does not react to any command, nothing.
I had "auto-reboot" activated.
The phone is active it's warm and I'm waiting for the battery to die again, to restart.
..meanwhile,
Can you give some advice please?
Why would the phone have struggle with the boot with stock rom installed.(which has worked before,no updates installed)
When should I install TWRP?
When do I install what kernel?
Last thing running was the LightROM with moro kernel with nothing tweaked.
Also. The issue why i deaded the phone was a camera/flash thing, where I could only take pictures with flash activated.
Front and back camera. On all camera apps, I couldnt scan my ID for banking due to that.
Also on different kernels and different ROMs including the Samsung stock.
Why would that be
Could not accept...

OK so what you've done is correct flashing stock (which includes stock kernal). You have to make sure the stock ROM is correct for your device and region or it will not start.
It's not unusual to have to flash it twice with Odin.
Next up you don't need to wait for batt to die to restart. Press volume down+home+power and keep them pressed until phone restarts. Should now be in download mode, reflash correct ROM with Odin. TWRP is wiped off the phone when you flash a stock ROM.
If it doesn't go through the boot up/freezes/ does nothing etc. You need to "wipe cache" then reboot from the recovery menu.
Press and hold volume down+home+power. As soon as the screen goes black move your finger to volume up (it may take more than one attempt). Once your in recovery menu use volume up and down to move through options and power to execute. Wipe cache then reboot and allow the phone to go through all the reboot stuff. It can take a few minutes just leave it alone. It will also reboot a couple of times.
If it does nothing after 15 minutes then start again and repeat the process.
Thanks for reply.
The Phone was off for a day and after charging for 1h it still does not react to any command. Vol down + home + power does nothing. Same with vol up.
Is there a way to force a boot? Even if the PC does not recognize a device on usb?
I Tried the commands 30 secs each, plugged in and off. Also usb port is not broke since the phone is getting temperature after a while charging..
