Hi everyone, I wanted to ask you how can I activate a VPN without having IPSec PSK or IPSec RSA, a pure L2PT as they are in Huawei, thanks
does anyone know how to do it?
help me please
please guys!!!!
please xda team!!!!
I assume you mean L2TP? Not sure if it's possible unless the VPN you're using offers a separate app that may be able to help. This is not limited to the XZ Premium so you may be much better off asking in other places that deals with Android in general.

Hi to everyone, this is my first post even if I've often read this beautiful forum. I have a question about hotspot capabilities in CyanogenMod 12 Lollipop (5.0.2). I had my S4(jftlexx) personal WPA protected hotspot (though with a very dummy password) and was sharing connection with my girlfriend, when suddenly looking at the phone I found out two devices where connected. As soon as I was aware I stopped the hotspot and now here's my question: if someone was able to deduct my hotspot password and connected to my personal hotspot, was it able to browse my personal file and eventually steal it?
I'm asking because I have on my phone very sensible data, that should remain on my own. I know that it's not directly possible without a dedicated app installed, like an FTP server (i have superbeam installed even I'm 100% sure its server was not running and sharing nothing), but someone with some knowledge and hacking intentions could be able to do this? thank you, and sorry, I'm a little in panic
We see you have also posted your question here http://forum.xda-developers.com/general/help/hotspot-security-t3100751

Hi guys, is it possible to limit the amount of data that a person can use?
For example, a friend of mine wanted to use my hotspot as he have no internet access. I decided to share with him 50 or 100mb of my data.
Is there an application that allows me to control how much data that the person can use? (E.g. 50mb) After that it will automatically turn off the mobile hotspot.
Thanks for your help.

Good Afternoon,
Im looking for a solution for an idea I have for an app and was wondering if anyone could assist from a technical perspective.
Basically im in the very early stages of developing a app which is for drinks and food discount codes for bars/restaurants. What im looking for is some form of router whereby the user of the app walks into the venue and connects to router (Bluetooth for example) then opens the app and there is a unique code generated for the particular bar and time. The code would then appear on the app and could be used for the discount.
I was thinking about a simple WiFi router but then you would have to save each WiFi password on your phone and would undoubtedly be complicated.
I've seen some Bluetooth routers but im unsure how this would work.
Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks
James
