Im new in flashing custom roms on tablets. I just wanna know how to choose one for my device because right now the tablet is super slow and freezes all the time.
This are the specs:
Brand: EXO (From Argentina)
CPU: Intel® Atom™ QuadCore Z3735F (1.33Ghz-1.83GHz)
Ram: 2GB
GPU: Intel HD Graphic(Gen7)
Android: 7.1.1

Long story short, my brother was scamed to buy Galaxy S4. Now I'm trying to install custom rom on it because the current rom has 50mb of RAM free... I tried with many recoveries, but non was successfull.
Any tips?
Hardware specification of the fake S4 is :

Model: GT-I9500
OS: Android 4.4.4
CPU Model MT 6589 (quad @ 1Ghz)
GPU: Mali - 400 MP
Resolution 480x854
RAM: 512 MB
System storage is 120MB (if I can read corectly )
On this current rom GPS is not working (tried somo of Uncle MTK fixes but non worked, I think it's a bad rom)
Any suggestions?

I was checking his IMEI and it gave me the manufacture which is Malata . The phone itself looks very similar to their N400 - N402 - N403 I've tried with some of these firmwares but it didnt work - screen was flashing or doesnt show anything.

It's possible, but because there are so many varieties and different versions it's not useful. Also, it is a slow tablet already so installing Nougat or any other newer Android versions may make it near unusable.
Not saying it's impossible, but not likely
