Hi, I bought an S10e in UK from OnBuy (brand new) and when I go into settings-> about phone it says United Arab Emirates. And from there if I go to software information, under the Service provider it says XSG/XEU, XEH/XSG (I also have a hungarian sim). Now I don't know much about CSC but somewhere i read that if my CSC code doesn't match with the country I live in then I will get no updates. However when I first booted up the phone (with my hungarian sim) and checked for updates it downloaded the latest update. Im a bit confused Should I change the CSC? If yes, why?
Thank you

spain and brazil have the same csc (OXM) u cant switch between them just flashing and in my case (955f) i cant use the code in dialer.
Hi, In fact they have not.
Brasil unbranded is ZTO
Spain unbranded PHE (mine)
When I tried to put my brasilian card the system didnĀ“t acept. Becouse the Spanish database is used to check the banks agreement, like are diferente banks and cards.
Tks
Fred
yeah. I am wondering if i can do that too. Because i cant transfer my samsung reward point from my previous phone (Malaysian Set) to my new phone (Singaporean set)
i am able to add card and the bank details on the new phone. but the reward programs seems to follow the Singaporean promotion.
I want to know if changing the CSC will trip of the KNOX warranty? i know that some of the root method will not trip KNOX, but i wonder if changing the CSC would do that.
Hello Everybody ,
Just received an S8+ bought from Amazon.it
I placed my Cosmote Greek SIM before turning the phone on for first time.
The phone has OXM multi CSC firmware installed but for my bad luck , the COS CSC code for my network (Cosmote) is not listed.
Current active CSC code according to phone info app is EUR.
I need to install the ODX multi CSC code firmware which has the COS CSC file for Cosmote.
The reason for changing the CSC from EUR to COS is to enable wifi calling supported from Cosmote network.
Is there any guide to do it without involving root?
Thank you.
Perhaps this thread will help you. https://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-s8+/development/utility-flashable-csc-selection-v1-0-0-t3605264
Thanks for your reply but it does not fit in my case.
I do not want to root my phone and the thread mentioned requires root access.
Hello peeps, i have installed the latest firmware for the SM-G930F from Belgium (G930FXXS3ERL4_G930FVFG3ERJF_PRO) but somehow the carrier apps from vodafone get installed when booting into the system even though the Proximus app should be installed... I have tried to reinstall it multiple time and still have the same outcome? had this problem with my S6 Edge in the past too but i fixed it somehow (I didn't fix it but it fixed itself tho XD)

There is only one reason this happens, the firmware is not an unbranded international version.
Complete waste of time messing about with Belgian, French,German version etc just Download the BTU firmware from sammobile or direct from Samsung. It's says United Kingdom but it's basically western Europe unbranded.

So if i download and install the BTU version what will be different rom the belgian software? Like i remember with my s4 i used to install BTU firmware all the time because there wasn't one for belgium, but didn't notice anything different with my sim card... so i hope this will be the same that i still have the functionallity like i had before i flashed custom roms

The BTU stock holds all the csc codes, base bands, network functions for all of the European region which means once it connects to the network in your country, it automatically detects which system files to use so you "don't notice anything different" than if you had installed country specific like Belgian.
There is always one stock which hold everything for a region, in Europe its the UK unbranded, generic, international, BTU version. It works everywhere in Europe.
okay so i've installed the btu version and it worked just fine, except it was a little slower and idk why. but when i tried to use mobile networks it wouldn't work so i checked my apn settings and my provider wasn't in there so i had to add it manually wich for me turned into an even slower experience on my phone... I really don't know what i did wrong or what happend, so is it possible to get a detailed instruction to flash the stock oreo rom? and also a how to for rooting stock oreo with magisk? because my guess would be that something went wrong when rooting

Hello well unfortunately Belgium isn't important enough country to have your own unbranded stock firmware.
APN settings should install automatically when you connect to mobile network in your country.
There is a specific guide to follow to root S7 on Oreo, please google and follow it exactly.
Also BTU is a stock Oreo ROM.
Hi all.
I just bought this from eBay
It has some SK telekom FW installed, and it is annoying, almost unusable
Can anyone tell me if I can flash european FW on this? And how to, if yes?
BW: G970NKOU5EUA4
Thanks

its a Exynos chipset, you should be able to flash any euro firmware on it
You say that is safe to flash FW for G970F ?
I assume still ODIN is the way to go
Thanks
SK Telekom? Are you sure it's not the Korean Variant SM-G970N?
SK Telekom is a Korean Cellular Operator.
In any case you can flash any firmware you want as long as it's made for your model (SM-G97XX) however in order to change the CSC you might need to root the phone and use the CSC Change Tool because flashing firmware does not guarantee change of CSC.

G970N is the Korean variant, you need to install KOO Rom, you can download from Sammobile however if the SK Telekom won't disappear, ease read my last post.
Hello everyone,
I live in France and I have a problem. The CSC of my SM-G996B is blocked on EUX so I don't have the firmware update and the Samsung members don't work. I have my sim card in the phone but no update to XEF is proposed to me (even after complete reset and multiple restarts).I have my sim card in the phone but no update to XEF is offered (even after a complete reset and multiple reboots). Does anyone have a solution to force the update of my csc or simply to make the update of the CSC appear because no provider update page for 1 month ? I have to update each time via Odin (for example I just switched to One UI 4.1 with march patches XEF yesterday) taking the XEF fw but since it's multi csc it makes the update without switching to XEF.
Yhank you in advance
Only way is to use Samkey, buy a few points (it isn't free) and change CSC that way. I did it on mine (with points from eBay, not recommended as it might get your phone blacklisted on Samkey) which was TMobile locked but now runs PHN (unlocked Netherlands) fine with all Vodafone services working, volte/vowifi and I get Vodafone software updates over ota as well.
