Why? The only meaningful thing you get from TWRP is scripts and backuptools. These come with gapps, so backuptool isn't required.

And it makes it so easy that people are more willing to try out the latest ROM just for kicks. Knowing that I can get back to square one in about 5 minutes, I'll be much more willing to test drive the latest ROM or beta release. As it is now, it might take 45 minutes to flash a stock factory image and you still have to reinstall all your apps.
Just finished installing it, runs smooth and have so issues so far.

I'm waiting to get some hands-on time with one (haven't managed that yet), and to pull the trigger on the phone itself (Just Black). I'm grabbing a complete set of images - current stock, latest Q, current DU - so I can rotate among them during June and find one I can settle with, then set up a DU build shop so I can scratch that self-maintainer itch.
I assume flashing this Rom you'd lose the Pixel only features like Call Screen, Now Playing, Night Sight, etc?

If you do you can try the pixelify magisk module to restore those. I used that to enable call screen and other pixel exclusive features on my Moto g6

According to another poster in this thread, the ROM uses the stock camera. So I don't think you would lose nightsight or any of the other camera specific modes.

These AOSP ROMs are simply debloated optimized stock ROMs with various additional feature sets, anywhere from a few extra tweaks to massive customizations.
Feature set changes are listed on their site, but no comprehensive list for any device...

as far as mods go, this is from the stock firmware so any mods that are being made for the new nexus 7 should work fine (for example the advanced power menu that i added). that goes for kernels too, those are device specific, not rom specific

Xposed works on 4.3. You have to install 2.1.4 then flash a zip in recovery.
I'm not sure if you just missed them or what, but some of the Google apps you said you had removed are still in the zip. Currents, Earth, Ears, Games, and then I stopped looking. It's not a big deal, I'm removing them from the downloaded zip, but I wanted to let you know!
And in advance, thanks for the ROM.

well this is based on the released firmware, if there is a patch out there for that, i will see if i can get it included, otherwise i will wait for the next firmware update which will probably have it in there.
no my next release would be a couple of mods im working on, which in reality can be zip files to flash so you wont need to reinstall or reflash the whole thing, but will also be added to the rom as well for anyone who has not tried this one yet

I love RR too but i can't understand if it is fully functional (dt2w, lcd problems, camera upside down, no agps, wakelock with localization on... are being resolved in these days and some of those problems can't be solved because of proprietary issues) so how is possible that it works totally?
At this point i ask myself why the developers didn't use this source to build then?

I haven't had any issues at all with mine (though I haven't tested dt2w since I don't use it). Works pretty much flawlessly after doing a couple fixes:
1. flash the "lights" zip to fix the LED behavior
2. Disable NetworkLocationService
Then this rom works damn near perfectly. I've had zero issues using it as a daily driver for 3 months.

Your already a tester. Look at the very bottom of the op, if you see the rom labeled as alpha, testing, or beta rather than stable it probably has some bugs.
Edit: if you really want to be a tester and want to help make things stable, learn how to take proper logs to post when reporting bugs. You can find some info here: https://www.google.com/url?sa=t&sou...-DPIQFggmMAA&usg=AOvVaw2dZ_hJNSt4D8sxgFatmSvv
There's are plenty of other tutorials floating around also.

Noted. Thank you! Well, now we know the problem still persists even in LOS 13.0
I'm suspecting it related to video/picture encoding
Spectrum also have this one problem related to its library manager but I can't remember specifically what is.
But that's what makes me stop using spectrum and switch to LOS 14.1
Nonetheless, thanks a bunch @alben46 for testing out and all the feedbacks.

I had an FC for data transfer tool. This sorted itself out after updating things on the playstore, but obviously initially setting up the phone required me to skip things.
Its odd you should mention the verizon network as the sim provider as there is an apk within the system specific to verizon. I wonder if this is the cause? May need updating or something by the LOS team.
I am using it in the UK on EE and i dont have an issue with the ROM. Seems to be working nicely.
There are changes already waiting to be merged on the next update for using custom icon packs etc, so i'm looking forward to that. You can see the changes waiting here https://download.lineageos.org/bonito/changes/

Not so worried about it not working right of f the bat as that they're is no thread for Los and no dm to work with here and report errors to. It may be official but they're really as of this moment is no support for our device at all, so when issues occur they're isn't likely to be a remedy. It's really a shame as I like Los as lot and have used it exclusively in the past
