Does anybody know how to control the radio.com app with intents and/or tasker, at least pause/play or start/stop? The obvious answers appear not to work for this app.

I have done some searching but couldn't really find anything suitable, however if anyone knows of this widget already that would be awesome.
Let me explain: I use widgets to control my media but with four different apps (cubed, last FM, spotify, doggcatcher) the homescreen is rather messy. Would it be possible to make a widget which would control all the media apps on a phone? You would have a button to switch media player and then the usual, play/skip buttons. If anyone is interested in this I would be happy to sponsor them to make it.
Sorry if this is addressed in another thread, but I didn't see it regarding the TF as of yet.
Does anyone know of a way to get music controls present on the Lock screen on the TF? I know that my rooted HTC Glacier with the Google Music application running gives me the Track Backwards, Play/Pause, Track Forwards controls, but I was at the understanding that it was the Rom that gave that functionality?
Is this something that would only appear or be possible via a custom Rom after rooting, or something that you would have to have via a 3rd party music app?
I hope this functionality is present in HC as it's so much more convenient to skip a song without fully unlocking the device just to lock it again when just casually listening while working or what not.
Thanks in advance!
Playerpro lets you do this. Well, actually it adds another lockscreen with the widget (see screenshot) - when you press the back button, it takes you to the stock lockscreen. Good when you want to just swap tracks, but means you have essentially 2 lockscreens to get to the homescreen.
WinAmp also has a lockscreen option.

Thanks for the great tips. Had not heard of Playerpro, nor did I know WinAmp offered this functionality. Here's hoping to the Google Music App having this functionality so I can take advantage of the cloud music and have the controls from the lock screen.
Hey,
I don't know in which forum I am supposed to place this topic and I thought this would be a safe bet. I'm sorry if I was wrong.
I was wondering if it's possible to play multiple players at once. For example, I'm playing YouTube in the background and my own sound player as well or maybe Spotify at the same time, is that possible? If I do it now one player gets paused by the other, so I assume I'm supposed to some change some setting of sorts. Or is it different per app, is it an individual setting per app?
Any kind of answer is welcome. Thanks anyway!
is there a way to keep music app open?
Closest is swipe down and click the music icon or add a widget
But after few minutes i have to do again because app closes
Bump.
I'm also wondering this.
Yeah is a repeat Task only possible is find a music player watch face
Sent from my SM-G955F using XDA-Developers Legacy app
i am alive can help.
the screen timeout is what kills the music app, kill the timeout and the app stays active.

you can also combine watchmaker and tasker to create a custom watchface with built in media controls.

How can I use Tasker to make a watchface with music controls?
watchmaker lets you make your own watchfaces with buttons that can trigger tasker tasks.
in tasker you can create tasks that simulate media buttons.
and then you can send the %MTRACK variable from tasker to watchmaker if you want to be able to show the currently playing track.
What do I put in the right hand side of the variable?
Maybe I should start another thread asking my Tasker questions since I'm Clueless when it comes to Tasker.
Hi all . . . I'm reviving this to see if anyone has any other ideas. I don't want to keep my watch face lit up non-stop to control audio because that'd drain battery like crazy, so the "I am alive" trick is out. I don't really want to go for a media controller watchface, as the ones I like are already pretty information-dense, and I don't want to lose the features I like in favor of audio controls.
This is probably the feature I miss most since switching from my Pebble. It seems bonkers to me that there's no way to do this. Maybe with a 3rd party audio controls app? To be clear, I want to control audio playing from my phone, not from my watch . . .
You can link music app to double press on home button.
It is not ideal but if you are not using double press for something else maybe it can help you.
..... or made a Music Shortcut on a face
Boy, this is also annoying me. You have to scroll back or take an extra step which is frustrating as hell when you want to just change tracks. Will see if there's a workaround and get back.

New to the unit and installed in my Mini Cooper 2007. Had a good read around the found and lots of interesting things for a newbie but not found anything clear enough for my questions.
1) Can I set the unit to display MPH rathe than Km/h on the home screen?
2) My steering wheel controls work for the stock music and radio apps (mute, next, previous) but do not work in any 3rd party apps like Poweramp, Spotify or AutoPlay (Apple CarPlay dongle). Please can someone explain how to enable this?
Many thanks for all the info and hard work in these forums.
Managed to resolve #2. For for anyone else who searches later.
Head into factory settings. Password for HLA was m123456
Other tab
Changed steering wheel control to can key
Save and reboot.
Steering wheel controls app then appeared in my apps list and was very easy to assign keys.
