After flashing killer G3 rom by gogozx, I find there is less than 2mb space for system partition. So, gapps cannot be installed, because of no enough space in the system partition. Then, I delete some large software in the system, like android keyboard. With enough space in the system partition, I finally install the gapps minimal for JB sucessfully.
However, I don't understand why there is less space in this rom comparing to cm10.1 by marcel.
may be he doesn't simplify the lib ,media files or others .

Micromax Canvas Magnus A117 has 1GB phone storage for apps as time progresses when we install more and more apps the 1gb size also
becomes in sufficient.I use 16 gb sdcard and for me the internal storage is useless which is of 1.6 gb.
My question is there a way we can expand /data partition from 1 gb to about 2gb and reduce interanl storage to 512 mb.
I found article on internet on how to do that BUT IT IS NOT for MICROMAX A117 as there is risk of brick phone if you use their article not related to your phone
Following is attached screenshot of partitions using Partition Table App

I HAVE READ ALL THE INSTRUCTIONS OF SIZE PARTITION OF A116, which was posted in this forum.
Yet the results were all the same , i cannot increase the space the size of my CANVAS MAGNUS.
AND YOUR PROBLEM OF FACTORY RESET CAN BE DONE BY SIMPLY USING SP TOOL AGAIN WITH THE SAME ROM AND USING THE SAME CONFIGURATIONS WHICH WAS GIVEN IN THE ROM FILE.

I want to know that the size of the internal space is also comes to normal or not? I did not increased the memory yet by feeling that later it may be a problem (my phone is under warranty) with space if I reflash with Stock ROM...
Edit ebr1 and ebr2
I have successfully increased the app storage to 2gb...which brings my phone storage to about 600mb
all you have to do is edit ebr1 and 2 from stock rom with hex editor neo....and yes if something goes wrong just flash the original ebr1 and 2 from stock rom with sp flash tool. I found the tutorial for this in xda...actually it was for canvas hd but you will get a hang of it. Its pretty simple.
Plzz provide me the files

Increased Data Partition Magnus A117
Yes I successfully increased my data partition of Micromax Magnus A117 from 1 GB to 2 GB
I followed this guide http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2596030
Attached is the EBR Files you can flash them using SP Flash Tool
I am new to all this rom stuff. And I saw that I can change my MICROMAX A110Q rom to miui 6 rom. But it says system partition needed. How to do that? And what is that?
Is there a way to do it all without PC as headline suggests? Rooted boot.img and compatible TWRP already exists to flash them within TWRP I already have. I know the path were OTA is downloaded but does anybody know if there is TWRP flashable Marshmallow?
Why there is no option in flashing latest chainfire's supersu.zip in this thread here?
If I choose in Marshmallow external SD as portable, will I be able to use app FolderMount for symlinking games's data from internal to external sd?
Marshmallow have change in boot partition so if you flash it only system partition it will not boot. That's simple.

Okay. So it won't help to flash Marshmallow's boot.img, then twrp and reboot to Marshmallow's twrp and there flash Marshmallow ROM?
About your question.
New Android (marshmallow) have change in Boot, blob and system partitions. Those change will effect and change partitions structure. Because boot partition change its mean it's not match with older recovery partition. (in Linux OS only different big or small character is a whole different things) example in lollipop "recovery" but in marshmallow "Recovery" they are different.
Twrp needed to fix their build to fit with new Android. Otherwise we can said TWRP of this version for lollipop not marshmallow.
