call cutoff - OnePlus 7 Questions & Answers

I have the oneplus 7 for some days and I realized that frequently during calls there are some cutoff. I think it's a bug on all the oneplus 7 because I read the same issue in a review of that smartphone. Any informations (patch/workaround) ?

Deaf Huawei Honor 6 Plus

Hi, I have just purchased a Huawei Honor 6 Plus 3+32G PE-TL10, all is good with it apart from Google voice search not working.
When I open Google app or Assistant.ai and click microphone google / or Assistant.ai does not hear me, I have checked google app settings and all seems to be correct. (i compared with my sons Huawei Honor 6) My son has Huawei Honor 6 (not plus) and has no problem with google voice search.
I have factory reset it but still the same problem.
I am not having any problems with phone calls or using voice record app.
I purchased the phone from etotalk.com and have tried getting support from them but the replies I have had are no help at all. On last communication they seemed to be suggesting that google voice search may not run google voice search!
Phone is running Android 4.4.2
Any help would be welcome as I have been trying to get this sorted for four days now and I am dreading having to return this back to china
Many thanks
Mic issues Honor 6 Plus
You are not alone with mic issues on the Honor 6 Plus
The noise cancellation appears to be far too aggressive and throtles back mic gain excessively, making the mic level about 10% of what it should be.
Have this issue on a UK supplied Honor 6 Plus when using Bluetooth handsfree ( vital for me) and also on speakerphone
There has been no resolution from Huawei
Have tried 4.4.2 & 5.1.1 and disabling "OK Google" option
Have also done the factory reset.
Can't root device and tinker as cannot get the code to unlock bootloader
Thanks
Thanks for the info as i was starting to think it was only me having the problem. I am gutted at buying this phone, £250 for a phone that is deaf as a post. I also find out that the company that i purchased from have a very bad reputation for returns and support.
I am going to give it a few days more to see if they have a solution but I can see me putting this up on Ebay for £200 and cutting my loses…..no more Huawei or china phones for me!
If you find a solution please let me know.....will post here if i find a fix.

Is Oneplus became flagship to be killed?!

Hi
Idea if flagship killer was very cool to me so I really fall in love with OnePlus. I became part of community and I really want to help OnePlus to became really killer.
Today, after 4 Oneplus phones I am really disappointed, Oneplus became expensive top brand, flagship company. Rolling out Android 10 without serious testing for company's most expensive phone is most selfish and irresponsible move I ever seen. Looks like to me whole company working on Oneplus 7T Pro, and no one cares too much about "old" phone. This morning I was late for my work because alarm did not ring?! I don't know reason, I don't care why, I am user of 800€ phone and I don't expect that.
Wake up Oneplus,
I'm running official GM21AA on my GM1913 for 2 days, no root, just stock phone.
So far I noticed this problems:
- This morning my alarm did not ring?!
- After that disappointing situation I notices mobile data was off, so I have to turn it on manually
- Choppy audio on Bluetooth in my car ( I have to keep screen on for normal reproduction)
- Horizon Light don't work at all
- During Viber video call, video connection shuts down every few minutes, so I have to turn off then on video call constantly.
- Battery life was very nice first day, but second became terrible. Btw I have no issue with Viber, alarm clock, mobile data and Car Bluetooth during first day of using Android 10.
Any suggestions beside rolling back on Android P or selling and leaving OnePlus and back to Pixel phone
Why not do some research? There are a dozen things you can try to fix your issues. I updated from Stable 9 to 10 using Oxygen Updater and I have none of the issues you have so what is the difference? Maybe you have one or more apps that are not playing well with 10? Maybe you need to uninstall them and reinstall them so that they work better with 10? Maybe you need to do a factory reset (yes it is a pain) and DO NOT let your apps automatically reinstall from Google, to see if that fixes your issues? Or you could just sell the phone and go back to a Pixel! Then when you have the same types of issues with your Pixel you can complain on their forums about bugs and issues that you are not willing to try and fix. Solved!
NO. Still doesn't have wireless charging (which I miss A LOT) and the camera software is still not good.

Would you buy the ZenFone 6 in 2020 over the upcoming Pixel 4a?

I am waiting for the Pixel 4a but the ZenFone 6 has been tempting me with its battery, cpu and the camera setup. The only thing that the pixel will have over the 6 is the software updates.
If you were in my situation, which phone would you pick and why?
I bought a used ZF6 just a couple of days ago. Honestly? Who care about official OTA, this phone seems to be already weel mantained in terms of modding and ZenUI is really stock looking. In other words when Asus will be dropping the support (after Android 11 presumibly) you'll just have to unlock and flash a ROM and you'll probably get a couple of years more. Moreover you won't loose advantage of having one very good main camera as your selfie one as well (and it gets even better with GCam), a monster battery and a good HW.

pixel 4a. i currently own a zenfone 6 on t-mobile and have been having problems with voice calls and text messaging. sometimes calls from other people will go straignt to voicemail without the phone ever ringing or logging it as a missed call. i've missed several important calls because of this. text messages would sometimes come in minutes and even hours after the sender sent it to me. others have also experienced this on t-mobile and we're not sure if it's a t-mobile issue or asus issue. other than some other minor issues (apps freezing etc...) the phone has actually been pretty good. but in any case for me, a phone that can't do what it's fundamentally supposed to do is no good so i'm staying away from asus at least for now. my next phone will probably be a pixel.

Question [CLOSED] Is the OnePlus nord ce2 hanging problem common in all phones ? What is a solution ?

I purchased OnePlus Nord CE 2 5g with huge expectations. The Mediatek Dimensity 900 processor and 8GB RAM assured me that the phone will perform as per expectations.
But, I experienced OnePlus Nord CE2 hanging problem one day when I was using Facebook. The phone stopped responding to touches and the entire display turned black and unresponsive. I tried a lot of things and finally the phone became okay after a forced restart.
<Moderator Edit>: Self-promoting video link deleted.
But the OnePlus Nord CE 2 hang issue returned the next day itself and finally a thread in Reddit showed me that OnePlus Nord CE 2 5g hang problem solution is a factory reset and cache partition wipe. Finally now I'm factory reseting my phone almost every month.
Another problem is OnePlus Nord CE 2 heating issue especially when charging and playing games but that is not a big deal when compared with the unresponsive touch screen and hanging.
My question is, are these problems because of a software issue and can they be solved by further updates.
Update to latest available software. I don't have hanging issue.
