i am new in xda developer.
i already hear lot of thing about xda .
in my opinion it is very good android developing. so all developers tell me if it possible to install twrp in j4 pluse. (which is running on 9.0/pie).
i see many post but no one is clear that it isn't possible or not. so if it possible please make a post it will help all j4 pluse user.

I would like to know whether Galaxy y s5360 can be updated with ICS v4+, i have read some articles in this forum and can someone help me out with this many andorid phones supports ICS and Y Should also.. So Kindly help me in this. Need all developers to think of this ,

I don't think that would be possible, given its specs and even if it were so, it would lag a lot.

Anyone will come up with it, i saw minimum requirement for ics is 256mb ram btw galaxy y comes with 290mb ram, so it must be available

It's so easy for you to say.
Why not develop one yourself?
btw ics also needs armv7 while galaxy y is armv6
here is the reason why galaxy y cannot run android 4
It may meet minimum requirements like processor and ram.but did you notice that android 4 requires atleast a decent gpu. The gpu in galaxy y has a poor performance . Even for playing games like nfs shift you need to have chainfire 3d on it. But you cant run android with chainfire3d.btw the gpu manufacture is ot willing to update android 4 drivers for the gpu and hence not possible.
IT TOOK LONG TIME FOR ME TO FIND THE RIGHT REASON . SO PLZ DONT IGNORE TO CLICK ON THE THANKS METER
You can still experience ICS on Galaxy Y

Hi Satish,
If you are referring to ICS per se on Galaxy Y, it's probably not possible. But we have a custom ROM called JELLYBLAST by AvijitGhosh82 here on XDA, it's a custom rom which for Galaxy Y which makes you experience ICS/JB on your Galaxy Y.

i have search on internet and i think the latest vesrion of rooting a device is 1.5-1.6 or from 2.0-2.2
my android is model of samsung galaxy y GT-B5510 2.3.6 and i am wondering is it worth it to root it back on 2.2 or ... i dont know, you better and also how i can root it cos i believe for each model there is a different way or is preety much the same for all android phones ... ?

I couldn't find any forum related to "Karbonn Smart A12 Star (aka A12*)" android smartphone running kitkat 4.4.2...
I am not able to root it via every tools i tried like towelroot, srs root, unlock root, one click root, root x, b4nry, kingo root and so on...
i am well aware of rooting process and the procedure of rooting... as i have rooted all my samsung and motorola devices i have and running CM11 successfully...
The only thing is NO one seems to be knowing about Karbonn Smart A12 Star smartphone, so i am eager to request the developers to add this phone in the list... for anyone want to know more about this phone, please google ---- Karbonn Smart A12 Star --- (as this is my first post so cant post links)
Also i would love to see someone else in here talking about this smartphone...
Please guide me in anyway to root this phone..

Yes, you are right ... no device specific forum for it ... yet.
You can request to create a new forum for it here: General discussion > About xda-developers.com > *** New Device Forum Requests ***.
But keep in mind that xda can not create a dedicated forum for all devices available on the market.
You can always post your question about devices without a specific forum here: General discussion > Questions and Answers.
Or for modifying/rooting things here: General discussion > Upgrading, Modifying and Unlocking.
I think the last forum is the best place in your case.

I learn some basic rooting terms and watched videos about either how to root( but never performed anything) or top thing why to root my tablet. There's a guy here named iLikeVen0X who made a cm 11 rom for i9515.
Unfortunately there is no WiFi, ex/sd and bluetooth.
