When I am in a dark room and look to the screen I see lots of artefacts on screen.
E.g. the dynamical background animation has artefacts beneath the Notch,
And YouTube and Netflix videos have them in any dark black area of the movie.
What is going on here ???

I've suspected for a while that my phone has issues with it's colors, because I can't seem to use any background without it pixelating (text mostly) or shows very unsmooth color transitions from black to white.
Whenever I select an image for wallpaper, the part outside the orange area has a browning overlay on the colors that just looks wrong.
Images full of colors look very good, it's the black and white ones with fading from dark to bright that looks horrible.
Could someone do me a favor and download this image, set it as background, and tell me if it looks clear and good on your screen, and the text looks good.

It seems like I keep running into problems with this phone
Thanks in advance.
On my Nexus 5 I have a slight lightbleeding on the top of the screen. It goes all the cross the top. Have anyone seen this on their device?
The weird thing about it is, that it is almost invisible when the topbar is black, but very much visible when the topbar is e.g. blue, red, yellow, …
I'm not even sure what it is, maybe it is just a nocebo effect, I think it is there so it is and it is annoying the hell out of me.
I attached a photo of it, It was made next to a window with low backlight.

Hey guys, I was using my phone browsing the web when suddenly the white point changed! The screen turned slightly purple and I think it is due to Samsung's adaptive display and my purple LIFX bulbs.
Here is a video link: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ujVIFA5LESQ
Any one notice this with their S6? Its running Marshmallow if you guys were wondering.
After seen your video , i tested , and with the purple color in the background , the white colour get a little bit darker , when u look in recent apps it becomes again white. tried with other colors and white didn`t changed.
As you can see the black bar to the left. But there is no black bar to the right. Does anyone know how to remove it. It does it anytime i watch a movie.
The image you posted doesn't load for me. Does the black bar go over the front camera area? If so, it may be by design.

The image didn't upload properly for some reason, and yes the bar does go over the camera. I just wish there was a way to fix it, because movies are basically cropped instead of being shown in either i guess you can say either 16:9 or fill screen, they are squared 4:3

The display is 1080x2300 so there's plenty of room for the bar on a 16:9 video (16:9 @ 1080p = 1080x1920). I suspect the cropping you're seeing is a function of whatever software you're using for playback. If I view this test video, full screen in Firefox, the bottom edge is cut off. If I view it in VLC the entire frame is displayed, with black bars on both sides. Removing the bar & allowing a 16:9 video to fill the screen completely would cut off more of the content from the top and/or bottom. Personally, I prefer to see the full frame in its original aspect ratio vs. having a portion cropped.
A thin vertical flickering bar appears in the middle of the screen when 60Hz is enabled and the screen resolution is 1080p. This can be seen against this background and at maximum brightness. do you have problems with this background? The band is barely visible if you turn on 120 Hz and 1440p. On a yellow background, a white stripe is barely visible. It does not exist on other backgrounds.
