Does the brightness of AOD automatically adjust in dark or bright environments (i.e does it adjust without waking the screen)?
Yes

Perhaps there's already an App or way to do this but if so I haven't come across it.
I usually set the ringer volume to max because there are occasions when I'm in a high ambient noise environment however this means that if my phone goes off in the office it disturbs everyone. What is needed is for the phone to sense the ambient noise environment and then set the ringer volume accordingly. This is akin to the auto brightness control on the display.
A background task that samples the mic periodically or even just before engaging the ringer may work (although you wouldn't want to add a perceptible delay to the ringer).
If there is an existing method to do this ... post a reply!
FoxyRing sets ringtone voulme per ambient noise level.
It can also set sleep hours if wanted (silent between 11pm-7am) and also set certain conditions per GPS locale, IE:
Set to vibrate at the movie theater
And also "Smart Volume Controller" will do this.
I have tried this and can increase the brightness but cant lower it below the automatic threshold.
Can i change notification light which shows near proximity sensor to below of display?
Coming from a Xiaomi mi5s where the brightness of the notification LED could be changed i'm wondering is the same can be done with the Oneplus 6. The LED is very dim.
I have a problem with notificatinos on ambient display. When receiving notifications from some apps (like Gmail or FB's messenger), the ambient display does not wake. I have the vibration and when tap to show ambient display, there is an icon, but nothing wakes upon notification. Tested on textra and notification appeared normally. Does anyone have same issue? Any solutions?
Thanks
