I got an OTA update to firmware PD1805F_EX_A_8.8.10 (FuntouchOS 10 on Android 10) on my Vivo Nex India variant.
Since the update I'm facing numerous issues like:
1. Super fast battery drain (Android system seems to be hogging most of it)
2. Various app crashes
3. Albums app not working which effectively blocks all image related featurs like Camera, Insta/Whatsapp/Facebook image sharing, any app with any action related to images/videos
4. Unable to read music/ringtone files on my device (hence no ringtone alert for calls)
5. overheating while charging and using any apps at all.
I want to downgrade to FuntouchOS 9. Can I safely copy the PD1805F_EX_A_6.6.10-update-full_0529025648.zip file to the Download/upgrade folder and selecting Local Upgrade from the System update settings?

Even the MTP connection didn't work, so couldn't take bacup of my media files.
Resorted to factory reset as a last option.
Good news: got the phone up and running on the latest update without any of the issues specified earlier.
Bad news: Lost all my multimedia files including some really cool ringtones and wallpapers I spent ages finding.
Well, you win some, you lose some. My advice, backup all your data before initiating the latest update.
Updated or downgraded

This thread is dedicated only for device OPPO FIND MUSE (R821), this device was discontinued from the manufacturer but our community keep growing to support it's user
I ported this ROM from from the official firmware of OPPO JOY (R1001), which have almost very identical specs. Mediatek MT6572 with 512MB of RAM and 4inch screen, so the bug was at it's minimum. There also some Color OS ported from various OPPO devices, OPPO R831 and R831K, but those devices are have some differences in specs. I attached some screenshots in this post.
What you need:
1. Working Root access. I recommend using Framaroot, you can download it here... http://www.mediafire.com/?rrutz7czckbcc4u
2. Working Custom Recovery. I recommend using Carliv Touch Recovery (based on CWM), you can download it here... http://www.mediafire.com/view/?jwduwi3cqv1y1dx
3. A fresh downloaded ColorOS ROM ported by me. It should be in zip format and located on your SDCARD, don't extract it. You can download the COlorOS ROM from link i provide on the end of this post.
4. For newbie, i made a youtube video about how to get all those requirement works on R821. Make sure you watch it and don't make mistake, or else you will brick your device (check this video http://youtu.be/xspIXoGMcz0)
5. A good knowledge of the risk doing this. Remember always Do With Your Own Risk (DWYOR)
Whats not Working (read this before you complaint)
1. Screen of gesture (i believe it's due to diferrence in kernel/hardware)
2. Wi-Fi Direct (i believe it's due to diferrence in kernel/hardware)
3. Hot-Knot (i believe it's due to diferrence in kernel/hardware)
4. Compass (OPPO R821 didn't have any compass sensor)
What's need to know about this ColorOS version
- No App removed (to make sure it's update-able in future)
- No Root (to prevent a newbie from messing with the system files)
- No Tweak (i hate tweak, sometimes it's make device unstable/overworking)
- No Mod (to make sure it's update-able in future)
- Pure ColorOS (i didn't add any other apps, so it's just like clean ColorOS from OPPO)
- I will add an patched OTA update if available (depending on OPPO R1001) in format CWM flashable zip. And please don't update via OTA by using ColorOS System Update, it will be aborted in the process.
- After update OTA 140725, ColorOS version updated from V1.0.0i to V1.0.2i

A couple of hours ago, I downgraded my Lenovo A7000-a From Android Marshmallow ( can't remember what version it was cause it was hell of a **** ) to Lollipop stock Android version 5.0, Baseband version( A7000.ROW.V15,2015/11/27 ), Build number ( A7000-a_s153_151127_ROW ) as described in the ( Device information ). The reason for that is that Marshmallow is a **** garbage and made my phone ****, laggy and the UI was full of bugs. When I bought my phone out of the box was Lollipop 5.0 and I got update from Lenovo in the system update to 5.1 Lollipop - Before the Marshmallow was officially released in the system update - and just until the official update for Marshmallow came out, and I wish I had not updated it.
I used the SP Flashtool and the version found on this Link : https://cloud.mail.ru/public/HiQB/FY5XGcn89 . Everything went fine and I was able to downgrade to 5.0. The thing is, I want to update to 5.1 ( the most stable version, and avoid the ****ing Vibe **** UI ) and the update I have in the system update of the device is directly to the **** Marshmallow and of course I want to avoid that at any cost. I have some questions about that : Will I be doing the same process ( with the SP Flashtool ) to update to 5.1, hence it is no more available in the system updates ?. and I'm not an Android geek so I do not where to find the Lollipop version 5.1 ( it is not mentioned the Lollipop version it just states like that : A7000-a_S152_150917_ROW_TO_A7000-a_S153_151127_ROW_WC1E.zip ) on this website in the OTA section : https://boycracked.com/2016/03/07/official-lenovo-a7000-stock-rom/ .
So where to find the most stable version of Lollipop 5.1 ( without the **** Vibe UI ) for Lenovo A7000-a ? and How to properly update my device from the current version 5.0 Lollipop to 5.1 Lollipop ( without loosing applications and of course without ****ing up my phone and losing it forever ), if I'm going to use the SP Flashtool ?
PS, I want to do this update because Lollipop 5.1 felt more intuitive, Not that Lollipop is bad in any way - oh God Marshmallow was the only and most ****ed up experience - , but 5.1 felt better for me.
Thank you in advance for your help

How to extract OTA link
1. Wait when OTA arrive to you and start download.
2. Go to: "Settings" -> "Developer options" -> "Take bug report".
3. Wait until it compile.
4. When it's ready - save it to /sdcard via Solid Explorer or upload to GDrive/Gmail etc.
5. Open big *.txt file (~15 MB) in Notepad++ (or same editor) and find link via mask: "xiaomi_tissotsprout_tissot" (without quotes).
6. Post a link in this thread.
You the guy from 4pda right ?
Can you fins Oreo beta ota link ?
Thanks
Thank you for your link!
I downloaded 1 sample, the 7.12.7 December patch around ~1.0GB. However how should I proceed next? The file size is different from Xiaomi A1 official ROM, which is ~1.3GB.
I extracted the sample and found out that the payload.bin contains majority of the file. How can I extract this into boot.img, system.img and so on?
can i flash full roms with miFlah tool or not
Can somebody fetch the Oreo beta OTA link.

Yep. But I'm not in beta testing, so the link must be captured by someone, who received a beta.

As written in the first post - no way.
¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Thank you! It helps a lot.
Why? Just flash the stock rom from miui forum using miflash with 'save userdata' checked and you'll get the same result..

Can we somehow trick internal updater in thinking that these otas are directly from server.?
Well, it's nice of you to provide these links, so we can access them if someone ever finds a way to use them. Is there any chance that @mohancm can update his TWRP to support these files?

Well, you're probably right, but I've had some very frightening experiences with MiFlash on my Redmi Note 3. And every time I use it with my A1, I'm in fear (and I've had to use it a few times because I couldn't get OTA to work). I really wish I could use TWRP to update system.

Well, it isn't so easy.
When you check for updates, the phone will do a "checkin" in Google servers showing his sw version, model, provider, platform, if you are in wifi or mobile data, etc.
So how to do the checkin if, for example, you do routing tricks to redirect Google IP to your local web server storing that zip file?
We don't know what protocols are used to do the check-in

I have tried this MIUI 10 ROM with Android 8.1 Oreo for our Redmi 4 Prime, I think it is ported on a Xiaomi Mi 5X by a Russian developer named Urartu.
Fingerprint scanner works well compared to the previous ROM ports by MIUIROOM. I think it drains more battery. I couldn't install apks thru file manager but I managed to install APK thru adb commands
The ROM is fast and smooth. You need to install this over the previous MIUI 10 roms for our Xiaomi Redmi 4 Prime since they said the MI account doesn't work. I have it installed over the previous MIUI 10 ROMS. By the way, your TWRP should be the updated TWRP treble which can be downloaded here https://androidfilehost.com/?fid=3700668719832240353 or you will go into a boot loop.
Details of the ROM can be found here, the page is in Russian but Google Chrome can translate it to english. The translation is understandable.
https://c.mi.com/thread-1622286-1-0.html
If someone who knows how to read Russian and translate the text on the website to english very well might as well post it here for us.
The ROM can be found here: https://adiwernadev.blogspot.com/2019/02/rom-miuipro.html?m=1
I really like this phone, too bad Xiaomi dropped pushing updates for it for Android 8 but at least we are thankful there are some devs who are porting other MIUI ROMS to our phones.

Before switching definitely to this rom, are there other languages other than Russian or English? Does this Rom include Italian?
If yes I will install it immediately!

Unfortunately, No Italian language on the language options.
Thanks,
This is a very bad news...but it's acceptable if battery works at least as for xiaomi.eu rom, gallery and camera apps are working properly too. Could you please give me a feedback on these?
Finally installed 34.5 URARTU ROM based on MIUI PRO over the very latest weekly xiaomi.eu rom (9.1.13) doing only a clean of dalvik and cache, without formatting data. No data lost, almost everything seems working. All apps installed before this update are in italian, the other included in this ROM are in english. Other than that, security patches are updated in june 2019 (on xiaomi.eu were april 2018 !!!) and jumped from android 6 to android 8.1.
In next days I will do some other tests to see if I lose something with this "dirt" installation.
Responsiveness of the phone at the moment is more or less the same as before this upgrade
A very good rom!!
I switched now to Miroom android 9.0 pie v1 with MIUI11 ported always by Urartu1 user.
Working very well.
Pie port has just come out and I haven't experienced any bugs. It was Android Oreo before.

Just for curiosity, what's the problem with this link?
I don't think it's available elsewhere....
Previous miroom based od android 8.1 is better. The new pie port is randomly freezing, i tried 2 times clean install with everything wiped before installing 2 times same freezing result.
Anyway thanks to port maker dude, such a shame xiaomi didnt release atleast oficcial nougat miui, because gcam needs minimum android 7 to work. Thats why i use ports.
Anyone have the audio sound patch zip file (for video recording) for marshmallow stock, and the two zips to enable gcam3 for marshmallow? Cant download from miui forum. The best rom ever is the stock miui 8.1.2.0, rock stable, long battery life, sadly that is marshmallow. Just needs the sound patch and the zips to enable old gcam.

I'm on Pie 9.9.3 Miroom from URARTU1 and everything is working properly. Never had a freeze so far. I installed the rom from Orange Fox 10 recovery and everything worked without any wipe. Only cache and dalvik as usual
