Hello everyone! I read on several posts and other thread and did not find anything that could help me so here goes:
I am following the How to use the flash tool (that is very well done by the way) and i simply could not install the flash tool in my computer. I downloaded it twice and it gave me same error.
A message appears saying that it could not extract all the files and bla bla...telling me to download it again. So i did and the same error came up....
Does anyone knows if there is another version or some mirror files that are corrupted or SOMETHING....this is driving me insane!!!
Thank you everyone and sorry for any inconvenience!
hi, first time poster here.
i have searched exhaustively on this site and google for hours but, couldn't find an answer to my question. desperately in need of some help please
i recently purchased a Jiayu G3 and installed JellyBean. turns out Wi-fi and bluetooth now don't work due to incompatibility of my older version phone model. i found an alternative rom to install on the forum here with instructions but, i am having a problem...
apparently i need to install mobileuncle MKT tools so i can do recovery update and use clockwork mod (CWM) to install the new rom.
problem is i can't download mobileuncle tools. my wi-fi isn't working and i cant download it via my mobile network. i get error 927 when i try to download it via the play store. this could be due to a really poor connection speed, for some reason. after 10 minutes of trying to download the 1.02mb file it eventually fails.
would it be possible to download the mobileuncle tools via my laptop and then put it on my phone on my SD card? i havent been able to find anywhere to download it online and then i am not sure where or which folder i would put it in. if this works, does anyone know please?
or perhaps there is another way i can install a rom? to be honest i would be quite happy to just restore the stock ICS. i just want to start using my new phone...
thanks in advance :good:
hi, just to provide an update, i have managed to install mobileuncle tools but the flash recovery does not work
i have been following the instructions from here
watch?v=yuXdOjXQwGo[/url] (i can't post links yet according to forum rules but that is a youtube link)
instead when i reboot in recovery mode i just get the picture of the little android guy on his back with his front open and an exclamation mark displayed.
i know this is tedious, but please, any help would be great. i'm stuck
i tried following the instructions on this page http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2163707
i managed to do it all or so i thought. after unzipping the rom i restarted the phone but it gets stuck on a CyanogenMod logo. after half an hour of the loading ring going round i don't get any where. i have tried doing it in safe mode but same problem
please someone, help
taking to myself here
well I have managed to get past the screen. however, the rom i used does not work still does not allow the wifi and bluetooth to work.
does anyone know where i can download the original ICS stock rom for the Jiayu G3?
Hello Everyone!
I am new to XDA developers site and this is my first post on this website...
I am having oppo find 7 with android version 1.2.7, I found that there is a custom ROM available to switch to Lollipop version. While following installing instructions I found that at a point where we have to get into Custom recovery mode and then after wiping cache we have to select the image file to begin the rooting process. But the moment I click on the image file which I have downloaded it says "installation failed". I am not sure whether I downloaded the right file or not. Can anyone please help me with some screen-shots on 'which file to be downloaded from the "pan.baidu.com/s/1o66x7n0" website.
I have limited knowledge on rooting, so please help me with screen-shots or stepwise procedure to be followed.
I also found that when I click on the downloading link I get 2 buttons for downloading one in blue another in grey, i selected grey one(which resulted in installation failure). I also see there is a folder updated with the name "CM12-Find7-wuxianlin" which has many image files(dont know their use).
Your help is much appreciated!!!
Please help on rooting oppo find 7
Can someone guide me on how to root oppo find 7 to lollipop version... plz guide me.

Here, these are the stock firmwares for Galaxy Tab GT-P100, is this your device? Download the firmware for your country/mobile carrier then flash it via Odin. At the bottom of the page, you'll see additional links to various regions/countries. Click the region you need in that list, it will take you to other pages there for your model number, it might list other firmwares for your device that aren't in the list from the link below.
https://www.sammobile.com/firmwares/galaxy-tab/GT-P1000/
Create a free account there, when you choose the file to download, choose the "free download", it's not as fast as other downloads, just be patient and let it download. It's where I always get firmwares for my Samsung devices and I never paid for a download from there.
Here are more firmwares from different regions.

I DO NOT PROVIDE HELP IN PM, KEEP IT IN THE THREADS WHERE EVERYONE CAN SHARE
This is the discussion thread for firmware.mobi.
This site replaces my old central CF-Auto-Root repository, and aside from letting you create and download CFARs, also lets you download stock boot and recovery images for many firmwares and view all sorts of information about them.

I honestly don't know how you find the time! Your dedication to the community is phenomenal.
Many will welcome this from noobs to devs. I know I'll find it handy in my endeavours.
Thanks.
Sir
If you want a great repository on the stock firmware of the various brands then you may refer to needrom.com which I think is according to me as a great repository of the stock firmwares and the boot images can be extracted from their.

Try using Chrome or Firefox. Seems to be an issue with IE/Edge. I'll check this out later.

Another question, I see that the 950w firmware is from May, if I uploaded the newest firmware would you be able to add that in??
Edit: works on chrome but not Firefox or IE

I have attempted time and time again, even with your new site, but i cant get CF Auto Root to work on my Samsung Galaxy J3 (2017) SM-J327T and my Galaxy J7 (2017) SM-J727T. They are both coming back with SECURE CHECK FAIL (RECOVERY). Others Methods i have tried failed for SECURE CHECK FAIL (Cache) which i was told meant Locked Bootloader. That being the case, why is Recovery failing on your root method.
If it is a Locked Bootloader on both devices, if there a way around this?
Thank you in advance!

This has already been explained to death. Chainfire even reiterates it on the new website.
Binaries, that includes recovery and boot images, that are not signed by Samsung CANNOT be flashed on a bootloader locked device, period.
No matter what the method.
Firmware.mobi doesn't add some new magic that can bypass bootloaders. It's simply an automated process.
It still stands that if your device has a locked bootloader it simply will not work.
Wow... Thanks for the hardwork.
Trying to generate for A9pro A910F 7.0 but failed. The only setting that i know for qualcom is to set cache image as ext4 type. After flash with odin internal storage corrupted. Need help for actual setting regarding the encryption.
@ Chainfire: Hi Sir: thanks for your great efforts to help the android community, really appreciated! i have generated cfar_google_pixel-xl_marlin_opr1.170623.026_t1.zip for Pixel XL. I want to root, can I just flash this zip file, or do I still need to flash the SuperSu as well? Could you please outline the steps? What's the best use of CF-Auto-Root zip file from firmware.mobi? Thank you!
Hi, ive been trying to upload zips of the Nvidia Shield, OnePlus 3 etc, however it keeps giving an error and I am not able to upload it.
The error is
Secure Connection Failed
The connection to the server was reset while the page was loading.
This happens in Edge, Chrome, Opera, and Firefox.

Extract the ZIP, instructions inside...
It does install SuperSU.
Though you say 'flash this zip', which implies you have TWRP, in which case you can just flash the SuperSU ZIP and don't need CF-Auto-Root.

How big are the firmwares?
Can you put one of them on drive and link it to me so I can test if it has something to do with the firmware images itself?

Max upload size issue on the server. Should be fixed now. I uploaded the nvidia one, you can do the OP3 one
Still, it would be better to extract the boot and recovery images, then zip those up.
