It's available through OTA only right now. No download link is available as it's not available on Samsung servers
I don't think the update will increase the performance because every android update have more features etc.. and that's gonna slow down the performance

That's not the case. Performance doesn't depend only on features but usage pattern too. It doesn't slowed down by adding features and apps. Performance can be optimized by using efficient algorithms and programming in the android system as well as the RAM management plays a great role in it.

Its better to wait till June. And if you really want to change your CSC, there's no need to flash the firmware. Just enter this code *#272*Device IMEI# in your phone dialer and then you can change your phone region.

B170a just showed up. The changelog is the same as B170, could it be just the same rom with an updated security patch?
According to honor india website, they started rolling out latest update with eis and fingerprint improvements starting from June 14. Please anybody post links of the update here if possible. I'll post if i get update first !!
Edit: got the update through Huawei firmware finder app. But confused which link to post here as there are three zip files : update.zip(610MB), update_data_public.zip(144MB) and update_COL-AL10I_hw_in.zip(73MB). Which one should u flash?

No it's the handset issue only .it was shipped with that issue as again after update installation again not able to boot into recovery as before!
Noticed changes till now
: Fingerprint is blazing fast and no more false recognition
New apps Party mode and Honor club
Better ram management about 3.8 3.9 free at normal conditions
Battery management looks better not that much of frequent drop
Feels more snappier
May 5 security patch

If you are having system install failed issue with recovery I recommend to install the update two times .. it will get installed and I can see that the firmware finder also showed approved for installation. So you can check with the proxy installation too .

Swichted from G950U1 to G950U with Modded Odin.
If you do like this then you need 3 update file.

2. CRL Update (https://firmware.science/)
3. DRL6 update (https://firmware.science/)

Still I'dont get any bugs or random reboot or etc. Everything working perfectly. One thing is, software update is not working. Just show "This version is not supported".
Edit 1. Always On Display is not working at version 4.1.37
Edit 2. Working after reboot!

You may have to update some Samsung apps for them to work. Also, night mode doesn't fully work (some Samsung apps not included in it). Also, much faster and smoother; however, slightly faster battery drain for me. All the new software is a plus though. The important bugs are similar to bugs on official betas for s9.

Thanks for the update. I will probably wait and stay on Oreo for now, but I will admit, my fingers are itching and I'm very tempted to give this leak a try. Then the part of my brain ? that handles logic and common sense kicks in again and tell me to wait.

I would suggest you using modded odin. I also had an unlocked snapdragon S8 US variant SMG950U1 as well and when I flashed the Odin files for CRK1 my device became a Verizon S8 model SMG950U...CRK1 (no longer unlocked but has bloatware). Once the base model is CRK1, you have to download 2 update.zip files. CRK1 to CRL1 and CRL1 to DRL6.
Follow the instructions from the link provided from OP on the first post.
Okey.. if you upgraded to the latest firmware and still not getting slow motion feature in camera then follow the instructions:
1.Open camera app.
2.Open camera settings.
3.Scroll down and find 'Reset settings'.click on it and reset the settings.
Thats it. You will get this feature.

It will work but all future updates will be received when that region's variant is released. I have the NOBA J9110 and we are usually in the second release group but for some reason we were in the first for this release.

alternative method would be downloading the firmware through the xperifirm application and then creating a flashable firmware using flashtool and flashing with the flashtool application. Unless you unlock your bootloader you will loose the drm keys.
Ready. I flashed it with the Newflasher and the downloaded Firmware (Custom NOBA). It works excellent. Gestures of android 10, dark mode. I still did not test the camera. So far it works and responds very fast. Absolutely nothing was lost from DRM. Thank you all for replying.
