Double Tap to Sleep - OnePlus 7 Pro Questions & Answers

I know that this function is available and provided in the settings of OnePlus Launcher, where it can be activated. I´m using Nova Launcher. Is there a way to activate DTtS if you´re not using OnePlus Launcher?

I've try this, but after wakeup ask the pin, and can't unlock with fingerprint (safe mode, like the sleep function is not well implemented as opo launcher throught google apis)
RESOLVED: at the bottom of nova, you have to select Advanced -> lock screen method -> and select the accessibility option (first one)

If you used the elemental x kernel you can choose to swipe acroos the nav bar. There is also a mod in the sense toolbox (xposed module) to use hold the back button when on the homescreen to go to sleep.

If you have something like nova launcher you can use the above program to sleep your phone using knock or swipe gestures. There is also an exposed module with swipe gesture shortcuts to turn off your phone. It's sense 6 or gravitybox I can't remember. I use insertcoins tap time to sleep since I like BlinkFeed launcher and xposed seems to marginally slow down the UI

I don't notice Nova launcher has this function Before known this trick I'm using nova now migrate To it .Tqvm
Thanks for the tip! I already had this app, but did not know you can swipe up from the homescreen to lock. I relied on the widget, but its much easier to swipe up on any screen
I was just talking to my friend about this the other day since we both had galaxy s3s and the power buttons broke around the same time. Thanks for the heads up

Thank you for this! I never use Google Now myself so this is the perfect solution for me as I wanted a way to swipe to lock the phone.
Hi guys you all are welcome. We are here sharing and learning. ?
Great thnx for sharing. Been using the HTC gesture listener but the three finger thing was quite cumbersome to use. this one seems far better
Nice app! I've noticed that you can now double tap to unlock even if you didn't pick up the phone first and it's already in your hand. Also if the phone is sitting on your desk you don't have to pick it up to unlock anymore......just double tap. Very nice indeed.

(Q) Anyone that uses Nova Launcher

Does Knock still work with nova? The reason why I'm asking is with my girlfriend lg which is stock the knock work to turn the screen on and when at the main stock launcher screen will turn it off. I'm on Nova and knock works when turning the screen on but to turn it off it wont work i have to use the back button or enable a hold button.
I have kind of found a work though with this problem I'm having. So what i did is in Nova settings when to the Gestures and Buttons option and selected double tap. From there go to the shortcuts tab and selected the greenify option "Hibernate + Lock" and this works like a charm.
I am using nova launcher. and I am doing the same thing I go into settings buttons and gestures and then I select double tap and use secure settings plugin to lock the screen, it's just as smooth and quick as using the stock launcher.

I've noticed that the knock off feature (by double-tapping any empty space on your homescreens) is only a LG launcher feature only. I'd recommend doing what others are doing. You can still turn off the screen by double-tapping the status bar which is what I personally do!
I use Nova but you guys need to install a app called screen off and lock in the play store. Then go to Nova settings, gusters and set Double tap to that app hide it also cheers.
You don't need an app for this. Should just be able to double tap in the status bar. You can tap anywhere to wake the phone. I'm not using Nova any longer but it worked. I'm using Next Launcher.

You need Nova Prime for the knock on/off feature.
I hate to disagree but if you double tap on the task bar (which is very easy) it works just fine. Prime or the free version. I just put it on the phone to test it and it works just like before.

Yeah I just noticed that. My bad.
No biggie. I love my Next Launcher but if I couldn't knock it off I dunno if I'd still use it. First day I just happened to try it and YES!

Is there another way to lock our divice yet?

Hello guys,
is there a another way to lock our S8's instead of using the power button with gestures or apps?
I'll tried several apps like double tap to lock, but these kind of apps blocked the face unlock an fingerprint scanner.
It would be cool, if we could lock it with a hard press on the homebutton or long hold on the finger scanner!
Have a good one
Nova launcher, and Apex both have tap to lock and they don't mess with the fingerprint. Theres also an app I used a lot but idk if it will mess with the fingerprint. Invisible lock wigget

All in One Gestures lets you lock the screen with taps to the status bar or navigation bar. I have mine set so that a double-tap to the left end of the navigation bar locks the phone.
The only downside is that third-party locking solutions make the phone lock fully, so your PIN/password is required to unlock it. You can't use your fingerprint or the iris scanner to unlock it again until your PIN/password has been entered.
Yep when enabled in nova you get 2 options.

Oreo Screen Lock shortcut bug?

Hi,
I updated my Honor 8 to OREO and as soon as i installed nova launcher, i tried to set the double tap gesture for lock the screen but i found a problem (maybe a bug).
Usually I used the Screen Lock built in the Honor 8, but in this upgrade the phone said that, even if there is the shortcut on the widget page and on the Nova gesture shortcut page , it isn't installed.
So now I can't double tap to lock the screen like I used to do. The only way is to use the Nova gesture built in, but it has problems. Or I can lock but I can't unlock with my fingerprint or when i double tap it lock simply turning the screen to black and then, after few seconds locking the phone.
Is there any way to use the Honor8 Screen Lock without having this problems?
My phone is not rooted.
Thanks in advance and sorry for my english.
Afaik 3rd party launchers doesn't support system widgets in Oreo. Had the same issue with Evie launcher.
I'm still using nougat, that's really bad. I love to double tap to lock.

Screen off with Nova works fine on Android 11. (without biometrics)
Just make right selection via Nova.

I'm using Nova Prime.( Android 11)
As Samsung, double tap to sleep, is not working
in Nova Prime...?
But in Samsung launcher Ui, Samsung double tap to sleep, works fine.
I then otherwise, have in Nova Prime settings, set Nova, double tap to sleep and and selected the Nova option Accessibility setting and not Admin one.
See screenshot.
Nova double tap.... screen off works fine, for me.
With screen off, i use Samsung double tap to wake,
i either get options that phone is already unlocked
with Smart unlock or otherwise when my Bluetooth is off( re Smart lock connection) a option to unlock with biometrics( fingerprints) or otherwise, my face unlock option works automatically and unlocks phone.
Good luck
