YouTube vanced issues.

Hey I'm having issues with YouTube vanced. It logged me off the app for some reason and now it won't let me log back on. I have micro g download. I click on the account sign in part but it does nothing when it should send me to the sign in feature. Has anyone else had this problem?

Did you give the apps (both YT Vanced and Micro g) the right permissions? I had to do this as it's not turned on by default in the NEX.

Thanks for that tip .hit me that I did not. This worked. Enable under single permissions. See attached

That’s everyone should do to any kind app to work like a charm(getting notifications on time too)
Also background pop up + auto start should be on.

Settings > more settings > applications > installed > microG for YouTube vanced > permissions > single permission settings

Installed YouTube app first didn't open it. All permissions giv.
Then installed microG app all permissions given./allowed
But when I go to sign in it says can't sign no Internet connection ..
I'm using honor note 10.. ANDROID 8.1..
I believe its Chinese official rom..

Try using another microG. Same thing happened to me with my Mi Mix2.

I can't really remember but I know I also changed the Vanced version I was using. It was a mix and match kind of thing but it worked.

Hello. I have problem with youtube vanced. I have put youtube vanced via magisk manager. When i am doing other tasks like fb, Instagram ect. the music sometimes stops after the track changes to other track. Any ideas?

YouTube vanced cast button not connect to chromecast
Just to let you know that YouTube vanced do not connect with my chromecast ultra. Just a few day before was using without issues. Do you have ideas what's going on? Cast button on the app show is working appropriately but not. When I touching the cast button show a message connecting to (chromecast) but just makes quick flash turning like white color but nothing happens.

I Have instaled this app on my new p30 and the video in the background stops playing in around 30 secods or so. How can i solve this and make it play longer.

I was having a difficult time reinstalling youtube vanced and microg to get login to work.
Ultimately would always hang up on the accept button.
The fix was to disable google chrome and then log in.
Then re-enable chrome.
Hope this helps anyone.

Thanks for hint. In my case, I had Google Chrome disabled and could not able to log in to Vanced. After I re-enabled Chrome, everything went smoothly. After successful login I disabled Chrome again because I am using different browser. Tested under Android 9 on S10.

Install the old micro g first. Login. Then install the new micro g on top of it.

None works at all. Tried everything. Just gave up and bought a subscription from YouTube so I basically have what vanced has.

I have premium subscription, but in the mate 30 I can't use the official (for obvious reasons). I just install the old YouTube Vanced app and old MicroG, enter my account and then install the new ones above them. All is working correctly.

been using vanced ever since i recieved the phone with no issues

This is the way!!! I finally get it working!!! Thank you!

Mate 30 Pro- Sideload GMS, now NO notifications

I've followed most of the recent videos for sideloading GMS into Mate 30 Pro.
What I've found is that after installing #7 in the guides, before the final #8, all notifications stop. No android notifications come up for anything, not even HMS based apps like Huawei's "EMAIL" app. Any hints into how to fix notifications and get them to come back?

And everything is working so far, the only "bad" thing is that you can't use the play store, only Aurora store

In my experience there are any, the apps that Aurora Store shows are the same of the Play Store, from what I know is very secure to use it.

Hope it works, I'm using this method and it's like really having full gms in the phone.

Yes, but remember that all the apps that you download from the Aurora Store if you do not have the Google Services installed right most of them will not work well for you.

Yes of course, and the tutorial linked above says it. You have to have the GMS correctly installed without the annoying notifications to proceed.

Funny you guys should say that. I had GMS installed correctly no popups, but notifications still showing up sporadically, if at all. I noticed I have no GMS ID but GMS is still frozen. Should that be the case? If I open play store while GMS is frozen, it gives that retry error. I assume something broke along the way...

Sooo, I decided to start over. Wiped data and cache for each Google App, then uninstalled them. Then, reset phone.

Get to the part where we restore the app (Blue G) and the app is saying it doesn't have internet. That's a first. Tried different restores of the G app, all saying it doesn't have internet - tried 2 different wifi which are working perfectly. Is the service that this G app connects to down? Could anyone else try? Here's a screenshot.

Yep so bad news, and would really appreciate some insight. I've gone through the reset process and reattempts almost 10 times, but as of yesterday regardless of resets, I can no longer run the Chinese app with the G as it no longer prompts for administrative access, it just goes straight to "can't detect connection". I'm really at a loss.

If anyone has any ideas on how to get the app to "access the internet" again (as the message says in Chinese), I'd be willing to donate to their troubleshooting efforts. I don't want to send this back to get another phone just to fix this issue. It was working until just a day or so ago.

[GUIDE] How to Install YouTube Vanced post shutdown (22/03/22)

Edit: Vanced no longer seems to be functional, so the guide below most likely will not work anymore.

Note: If you are unable to install/use YT Vanced, you can also go for YT ReVanced, the "true" successor of YT Vanced.
To install it just download microG from the guide below, install that and then install the revanced apk from https://revanced.io/

UPDATE: Vanced Manager appears to be working again as of November 2022, so you can now just install YouTube Vanced normally the way you would prior to its shutdown by following any guide.
Just download Vanced Manager from https://vancedmanager.com/ and follow the on screen steps.

MANUAL INSTALLATION GUIDE:
There really isn't much to guide you on regarding this topic, as it's really simple.
First of all, we'll need to grab the correct files.
The first link is for vanced microg, this will allow you to sign into youtube vanced. You will not be able to sign in with your google account if you do not install vanced microg.
The second link is the youtube vanced apkm file, which will be installed using apkmirror's split/bundle apk installer, which is the third link.
All of these files are from APKMirror, which is a trusted source. All of these APKs are the latest versions prior to the shutdown of yt vanced.
1. Vanced MicroG.apk
2. YouTube Vanced.apkm
3. APKMirror Installer (Google Play Link)
Installation Instructions: (none of these steps are optional, including microG)
1. Install Vanced MicroG by clicking on it and installing it as you would install any ordinary apk.
2. Download the YouTube Vanced.apkm file.
3. Install the APKMirror Installer from the Play Store, then open it the app.
4. Click on browse files, the vanced apkm file should be there. Wait for a couple of seconds or minutes so that the files data can be loaded.
DO NOT EXIT THE APP FROM HERE ON UNTIL THE INSTALLATION IS COMPLETE
5. Click on the YouTube Vanced.apkm file, now just follow the on screen instructions to install YouTube Vanced. When prompted, click on Install by watching an Ad, also allow installation from unkown source (apkmirror app) when prompted.
6. Wait for the app to prompt you that the installation has been completed successfully.
Thats it! Enjoy YouTube Vanced despite it's shutdown, it must be noted however that after a certain period of time, this last build before shutdown will become outdated, and so you will miss out on new features and eventually it may become unsupported altogether as the YouTube app progresses ahead in updates.

Troubleshooting:
Q. The APKMirror installer gets stuck on installing and it doesn't finish.
A: This may happen on older devices or devices with less ram, I suggest closing background apps and/or maybe restarting your device and then trying again, or just try waiting again as it can take quite long if you have outdated or weaker hardware.

You need to install the vanced microg apk before installing vanced via the apkmirror installer. It won't work without microg.

Thank YOU for real!!! Been trying all day to find a work around and there it is. Been waiting for my YouTube data to download to try another app but that didn't work. I suggest removing microg and installing it dead last. Not sure if it was just bugged on my mi11 or not. But it wasn't working for me however I went about it.

My guess, Xiaomis security is blocking your install. Turn off antivirus crap and try again

That microG install isn't working for me, for some reason. It says it installed, but it's not actually on the phone afterward.

You don't see it in the app drawer like other apps, you simply have to enter vanced youtube and do the login. The app will login with microg instead of regular google account

I had to reboot before I was able to log in to Vanced.

Just an FYI Vanced is still working as of 09-06-22. I also don't have the latest version of Vanced either, I have 15.05.54. So if the latest version isn't working try this one.

Do you mean the 9th of june, or the 6th of September? Oh how I hate those dumb illogical american imperial notations. Just use logic; Short to long, i.e. the day, the month, the year. Don't get me started on AM/PM. Just so silly. Such a waste of time. Who needs it? I mean, what time would 12 PM be, ey? 24h time please.

I don't know considering it was posted on the 6th day of September I'm going to say probably sometime in June..... Yeah definitely June, has to be, no other logical reason could possibly explain why someone would post a date on the exact same day, has to be 3 months prior . So difficult to figure out, imperial is way to hard to grasp.

Still, if you look at it that way, even your 22 could have been a date, not a year. June 22, 2009.

the last release of vanced (the one i've linked here in the main post) is still working. @dgunn 's version will stop working before this one (if it is not the latest) as when google updates youtube, older versions become unsupported at the same time. maybe it's different for vanced, and instead, because it was developed by a 3rd party, it will never stop working; but you wont be able to get any new features which will be on the youtube app in the future as vanced cant update.

Can confirm it works still. Use it daily. And I'll take adfree with no extra features any day for my music and vids over the other.

Thanks for this thread, I have been wanting to install Vanced on my new headunit in my car and will go ahead and give this a shot. I still have an old version on my phone that works perfectly fine. I am really not sure what new "Features" are possibly getting added into the app that I need to worry about losing...like literally none when have they ever implemented any real new features? I'd much rather have ad free content and ability to have playback in the background.

Themes / Apps / Mods SPayToGPay: Remap Samsung Pay long-press shortcut to Google Pay on watches in regions shipping without Samsung Pay

There are regions where Samsung Pay isn't supported, and the app is therefore not preinstalled on the watch. As a result, those users are unable to use apps such as GW4Remap to remap the bottom button long-press shortcut to anything else. In order to help that group of users, I made a simple app that remaps the shortcut to Google Pay.
The app works by simply being a fake Samsung Pay app that launches Google Pay whenever it's invoked by the system through the use of the long-press shortcut. Since trying to install the app on a watch where the real Samsung Pay has been preinstalled will result in a signature mismatch, this only works on watches from regions where Samsung Pay isn't preinstalled.

I sideload it with bugjaeger but it doesn't show up on my watch at all.

So I went through the installed packages using bugjaeger and I saw that samsung pay did install but long pressing the button doesn't do anything

When you say that Samsung Pay shows as installed, can you be more exact? Do you mean the package name or an app with that name?
Can you show me a logcat? The person on reddit testing it for me said that it worked for him but I don't know the exact details.

yeah the package name, not an app. Also, I'm the same person over on reddit so it's pointless to have 2 conversations using both reddit and xda, I'll keep you updated on reddit

It appears that restarting the watch after installing the app is required.

yep! thx for your work. btw I have noticed it only works when you're on the main watchfacew so If you're in an app and then long press it, it won't work. Wish I'd known that before I went to the store the other day, would've saved me from an embarrasing interaction

Yeah, that's how it always worked. Having it work within apps would prevent apps that listen for key presses from working properly.

the packagename should still be the same, but the code has changed, and well we have some issues with the new Wallet killing contacless on phones at the moment too

Ok. I tried this and it worked on gms 17.1.22, allowing one to add cards and pay in store. Warning YMMV, but this is the process I did to get this working. One caveat is that I suspect users will have to reverse some step if gms is updated and...

See the updated first post for a link to the updated app.
It doesn't hurt to launch Google Wallet once, although not sure if that's actually required or not.

It's up to OS to decide when and where the shortcut works. This app just pretends to be Samsung Pay and launches Google Wallet when started.
