Buendia people, a week ago I received the p20, the truth I did not know anything about the problem with google, and also I did not know anything about the booloader code that they do not give anymore.
by some other means it is not possible to root or unblock the bootloader?, I have already looked at those pages that supposedly gave the coigos and are not working anymore for the p20 model, I think you can not do any roms, or anything with the equipment, no? Thank you..

Welcome to the Forum!
All mentioned problems are real. There's no way to unlock the bootloader and the future of Huawei is unclear. Some say it's going to be normal again once Trump his China-Deal , some say Huawei will release an own OS in autumn and some others say that if you have a right to a refund, you should use it. I really don't know what to do at the moment.

Bought the the device on black friday and almost regreting it have been able to root or rom
heres a pic of the about section maybe someone can point me in the right direction
I originally bought mine on Black Friday but took it back the next day because Office Depot had the 32gb on sale for $20 more. It seems I got lucky because my tablet unlocked.
According to many of the members here, the unlock tool isn't working on many devices yet. Some say it's due to the fact that Asus hasn't added the serial numbers to their data base. Who knows the reason? The fact still remains that many cannot unlock their device. For devices running the Jelly Bean bootloader this means NO recovery and NO root. Hopefully Asus will solve the problem because many are frustrated.
Have you tried to use the unlocker from Asus yet? There is much info on the subject in this forum. I suggest doing some intense reading up on the subject. All of the answers to your questions are probably held within this forum.
Good Luck!

I think, to those who have error should try register their device on Asus support first before using unlock tool.

Good idea, Tamaskan. I just downloaded and installed the unlocker apk but it seems things have changed and a lot of people are having problmes getting i to work. It may very well require registering before the unlocker can be used. I would at least give it a try if it weren't working for me. :good:
tried registering ..no luck ..am still getting the error mesage
The Huawei ID used to apply for the unlock code has not been used on the device for 14 days!
I keep getting this message each time I try to unlock my bootloader.
I have already waited 21 days and my Huawei ID is indeed on my Honor 6x.
I really don't know the problem and I really need to unlock my bootloader.
Can anyone help me? I am really sick of this problem.
In my experience this happens with Chinese versions. I think that the only solution is to log in to Huawei market, 14 days in one month!
Else you will be unable to get the unlock code.
Set up a reminder or something and log in 14 times and try to get the code after.
Just email them and send the details etc of your phone

I tried the same and they NEVER replied me. I also asked somebody to try the same, but no result. Maybe they do answer if you write from China...
Local Huawei replied that they cannot help with Chinese variants of phones.

this page does not work anymore
The hicare app is another route to go down, successful for some, some told not allowed, and some told ok but dont get any action taken by huawei.
Depends on ur patience, if ure willing to risk waiting. Ive ended up selling mine, had it for 3 weeks and only used it to try to get unlock code through hicare.
Lifes too short to wait 1 or 2 months to get the most basic thing, just get a different phone, its not worth the hassle. Lets be honest, its only an "ok" spec phone and easy to get alternative. Huawei and forum users wont care (not being rude), only youll waste time you wont get back
Bro, I had a 7x and I saw there was absolutely NO development for the same on xda and as a result I sold it and bought it spending extra as 5t was not in stock. If you say its just an ordinary phone, I would not agree to this as I'm using it and I love the features, camera and responsiveness and I never regret the decision of buying this device.
But literally speaking, Indian Huawei support is useless and the people over there are just none other than a customer support executive who even doesnt know what is a bootloader
I have mailed them and those fools replied that "your complain is registered and this is the complaint number". The excitement goes far away after getting this kinda reply which shows a good wait time and that too, will be chance and there wont be any surity that they will understand and give the unlock code. Only this disaapoints, knowing that Oneplus has absolutely no limitations. Lets hope for the best and once I get the code, I'll chuck out EMUI forever from my device and never go back to huawei support.
My phone seems to have been rebranded by the seller.
I am using the european rom.
I received a boot loader unlock code via Google questionnaire, Europe huawei mail and Europe huawei twitter account.
But they tell you the same code number.
However, the code number can not be recognized.
i dont know if the code number is the problem or if it is the problem i tried from the rebranding rom.
i love the form and hardware in this device, but the inability to ROM it is beyond frustrating. I'd send it back if I could for a refund.
I have a Huawei P8 Lite with ALE-L21 and EMUI 4.0.3, and recently learned about the advantages of having an unlocked bootloader. Thing is I'm a liittle bit late, as huawei stopped giving away unlock codes just 6 days ago. I sent an email, got no response (at least yet) and I've come here hoping that you could help me. Are there any ways that I can unlock my bootloader (or at least install a custom recovery)? Any help is appreciated and I'm open to further discuss this issue. Thanks a lot!

Unfortunately you can't do this anymore , I was planning to buy a Honor device , but with this new policy , I will definitely keep my money far from the Huawei company.
Sorry but we can't do anything at this point

You think that we will be able to some time in the future? Or should I lose all hope. I think that because FunkyHuawei and DC unlock are on it, we got something to look forward to. But i don't really know if its really worth the money they ask for...

For me , it don't worth it at all .
Once the OEM don't allows me to officially unlock and customise something I bought , I won't spend any money for their phone .
You can have a little hope because the XDA Community has a lot of importance , if we make a petition or something like that I think Huawei will change his mind.
I've tried looking around online and whatnot and have asked many people (even going as far as to email Samsung's team in hopes they might help out somehow) but I always end up back at square one. I genuinely doubt that it's impossible, but I don't know where else to go or what else to do. Does anybody know of a device with a similar situation that I might be able to work a method off of? Perhaps another Samsung device previously thought of to be "impossible to unlock" that I may learn something from? I'd really love to be able to unlock and root and flash this device, as its hardware is quite nice and fast: it's just unfortunate that it gets stuck with OneUI (I know everyone has different opinions on the matter, but I just really don't like Samsung's OS, personally).
Any help or guidance or advice - no matter how small - will be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance.
you are not having the able to unlock the locked phone that has locked bootloader because they don't wnat you to unlock your phone

Realme RMX2155 was previously thought to be not unlockable for awhile but somebody ended up cracking it via editing firmware files via hexeditor and some other stuff. Eventually, somebody found an even easier exploit. It's not quite the same as the A53, which is why I'm asking if anybody has any ideas. Tons of unofficial methods exist for different models - some easier and some more difficult. If everybody thought that an official method had to be the only way, I'm near-certain XDA forums would be mostly dead with only a few device-forums active.
I've asked on here previously about unlocking the bootloader for my A536U, but it really went to dead ends. The best asset to cracking these devices is time. Just be patient, someone may find an exploit soon.
Although, finding an exploit has been done for phones, I read years ago that someone who did that for one only got it by chance. Its not easy.
Anyone however can sell it or trade it in and buy a device that's unlockable. Much easier.
