Sprint S10e on T-Mobile - Samsung Galaxy S10e Questions & Answers

If I want to use Sprint S10e on T-Mobile, what's the procedure? I'm new to flashing firmware and such so can I just flash and put in a tmo sim card? I've read that some samsung phones automatically prompt you to switch over to another carrier when you put in a different sim card. is it really that easy? do I *need* to go through sprint and request an unlock? thanks!

If your s10e is sprint branded you'll need to unlock the device before you can put a t mobile sim card inside it. Once unlocked you can then flash t mobile or unlocked firmware on it if you wish.
I'm not sure if the current firmware auto rebrands though. Meaning that it will automatically install the T Mobile firmware inc boot logo bloat etc when using the tmobile sim.

Verizon Phone on Tmobile network?

Hi everyone. A bit new to flashing roms but thanks to the very helpful guides I was able to flash the Energy rom onto my phone. I bought an unlocked Verizon Touch Pro 2 with GSM capabilities and I want to run it on the Tmobile network.
After flashing the Energy rom, do I have to change any settings to get my voicemail and texting to work? Will it automatically detect from the SIM? Or should I flash a Tmobile radio onto the phone?

you will have to use the sim unlocker from htc-unlocks or get it unlocked by verizon global support.

SIM Unlock - Your phone is not yet personalized. ???

Purchased a used D850 that was supposedly unlocked. Is there any way to verify other than trying other SIMS (which I don't have)? Picked up a code from an eBay seller and when I enter 2945#*850# each of the 5 menu items returns "Your phone is not yet personalized" with "Dismiss" as the only option.

You need to put a non AT&T sim in it to find out.

I put in a PagePlus (Verizon) SIM and phone booted normally (AICP Lollipop) and there is no service; there wasn't any message about SIM.

Well there is your problem, You can't use the D850 on PagePlus/Verizon... Verizon is CDMA carrier not GSM. The only reason why Verizon uses sim cards is for LTE.
You'd only be able to use a VS985 or a LS985 on page plus.

I am aware of that.
I switched from PagePlus (Verizon) using the VS985 to Cricket (AT&T) using the D850 with the Cricket SIM. The person I bought the D850 from said it was SIM unlocked and I'm trying to verify that; I've purchased an unlock code for the D850, but when I dial the code I mentioned above each of the five options returns the "Your phone is not yet personalized" message with the only option being "Dismiss."
You then told me to insert a non-accepted SIM so I inserted the PagePlus (Verizon) SIM.

Ahh so you where just testing? Well using a Verizon system to test is not a good test. But wait your trying using a Cricket sim? A D850 does not have to he unlocked to work on Cricket, AT&T Go Phone, H20 and other AT&T mvnos. It just works.
If your trying to use a non AT&T/mvno sim then it would need to be unlocked like if you wanted to use T-Mobile.
Also if the phone is locked you CANT unlock it using a custom ROM, you have to flash it back to stock. But if your using it on Cricket the phone doesn't have to be unlocked.

I want to unlock the D850 for international use, specifically using LTE Band 1. The "Your phone is not yet personalized" message only appears when I boot the stock ROM; I can't access the menu in any custom ROM.

So your using the back to stock guide and going 100% completely back to stock before trying by using the tot method right?
So are you trying to use the Verizon sim to unlock it? If so that might be a problem and you'd need something like a T-Mobile sim

Yep, it had Lollipop when I got it, so I tot'ed back to KK.
The seller of the unlock code's instructions indicate their code will work with the Cricket SIM or an "unapproved" SIM, so I restored stock KK and entered the 2945etc code and received the message that is the title of this thread.
Perhaps the phone is already unlocked, as the person from whom I bought it said it was. I don't know this to be true, so I'm trying to verify before travel.

The only way to verify is use a T-Mobile sim or non USA sim.

Ya I figured, it's just interesting that the seller of the SIM unlock said it would work with the Cricket SIM.

You can get a T-Mo sim for free. Either go into a T-Mo store, or get one on their site.
I inserted a T-Mobile SIM and dialed 2945#*850# and after selecting each of the five options I recieved the "Your phone is not personalized" message.
Perhaps the phone is already unlocked? The carrier logo at the top left of the screen said T-Mobile, and when I went into Settings/About Phone it said T-Mobile LTE.

Your phone is unlocked. If your phone was locked when you turn it on it will tell you. I'm not sure but that code I don't think has anything to do with unlocking lol. You never enter a code in the dailer. You always just enter your unlock code when you boot your phone.
Your phone is unlocked or you wouldn't be seeing the T-Mobile network.
I'm having a similar situation. I have the 851, and I'm receiving this same message. The phone was locked to T-Mobile, but I want to use it for Metro. Please help.

Call the original carrier of the phone, they should be able to get the unlock code. If not them, call ur carrier.

I got unlocked code from AT&T but did not get the unlock screen when I boot the phone with other sim card. The unlock did not work when I get to the unlock screen by dialing a special code. After reverting the phone to a stock ROM, the unlock works as the instruction that come with the unlocked described. Thanks

SIM LOCK help please.

Okay. I have att and the note 5 is tmo and unlocked. If I use Odin for any reason, even to revert to 5.1.1 will it no longer be sim unlocked?
Sim unlock has nothing to do with Odin, rooting, or installing custom roms. Once it's sim unlocked it stays sim unlocked.

You are right, nothing to do with software, firmware
or odin.
-------------------------------------------------------------------
But...
There is no reason to use a sim-unlock service since
anyone can unlock their N920T or S6 Edge/Edge+
with the tmobile device unlock app which comes with
the official stock firmware in the phone which can be
also downloaded from Tmobile or the playstore.
The only requirement is that the phone is paid off
and you have owned the phone for at least 30 days.
If those two requirements are met the Tmobile device
unlock app will ask you if you want a temporary or a or
a permanent full sim unlock.
It will not ask for any other information or input.
The Tmobile device unlock app can be downloaded
from the play store.
Here is the playstore download link:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.tmobile.simlock&hl=en
Good luck,
Have a great day!

T-MOBILE Unlock

So I have one plus 7 pro with the international firmware installed but I have been having trouble getting the device unlocked the T-Mobile app does not work it keeps saying I am unlocked but when I reboot with a non T-Mobile SIM the phone tells me that it's locked yes I have paid off my phone and have had $100 on my account it's been cleared with T-Mobile
Have you had the phone activated with an active SIM inside of it for 40+ days?

Yes, that's what T-Mobile states you need to fulfill in order unlock your device.
If you're not the original owner, they WILL NOT unlock it.
you need to be on t-mobile firmware
Flash back to the T-Mobile firmware with MSM Download Tool, then unlock with the app. Then flash to the international firmware again with MSM Download tool then you'll be able to fastboot oem unlock without issues.

Dual Sim with Unlocked Note20 in US

Seems I can get a great deal on a US unlocked Note20, but for my use case I want to dual sim it with a physical Verizon Sim and a T-Mobile e-Sim.
Can I do this with the unlocked phone, or is there a way to flash the firmware to the T-Mobile ROM to be able to do this? Do I lose anything by buying a U1 generic unlocked version?

I am using the same setup with a U1 device. Flash TMobile firmware, instructions are in one of the threads here.
I have question if I flash T-Mobile firmware, what bloatware comes with it. Secondly both sims can be non-T-Mobile or eSim can be only T-Mobile and nano sim from other carrier?
Both sims can be non TMobile.
